Hetter Heating & Cooling

I was impressed with the entire process. The price was reasonable and it appears they did quality work. I would use them and again.

About 4 years ago, we had a new heating and air conditioning system installed by the same company. We have a warranty that they come twice a year for maintenance and checkups. They are excellent. Their service is excellent and they are very efficient and timely.

Estimate was a very professional experience. Gave me the estimate and was very thorough in his documentation, etc. Was higher than the lowest bid so did not use Hetter for this particular project. Would ask to bid on another project should the need arise in the future.

Very thorough and very clean. The two young men that came out were very polite. Not just everyone will install a power vent. Only gave "b" in price due to lack of comparison. They also took the old tank with them which was important. Only took 2 hours and 10 minutes to complete the job!!!!

I was very pleased with the whole situation. They came on time, were very neat and did good work.

The service person (Charles) was prompt, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions without seeming bothered. What else could you ask for? One of the few things that sets these companies apart from each other happens to be quality individuals like Charles.

We needed a new electrostatic filter for our furnace and decided to do a winter cleaning at the same time.

I called after waking up to a dead furnace & cold home. Phone rep was not friendly, but scheduled a visit in the afternoon. James was the tech that showed up. He is very good w/ over 10 years experience. The furnace was 8 years old & put in w/ our new home. The blower motor had burned out resulting in a foul electrical odor throughout our home. When James removed the blower assembly he discovered construction debris (drywall pieces). He also discovered rust in the assembly due to water in our basement during construction. The builders also ran the furnace w/o a filter during construction causing the debris to enter the blower assembly. James replaced the furnace igniter which had oxidation. He also did a thorough job vacuuming the debris out of the blower assembly & did the annual maintenance on the furnace. Hetter did an annual check-up before but did not check the blower assembly for debris. This should have been done and may have extended the life of our blower.

It was pretty standard service-wise. The person explained the problem and fixed it and recommended a new filter.

We called and scheduled an appointment with Hetter, and we were told they would come on the appointed day between 8 and 10 in the morning. By 11, when no one had come or called, we called the office. We were told they were "running late. By three, when once again no one had come or called, we phoned them once again. We were told, once again, that they were running late No one came that day to do the work, and no one called us to explain or apologize. Similarly no one offered to reschedule the work. Nor did they follow up later to reschedule so we will be using another company to do the work we need to have done.

Rick Hetterscheidt was very prompt in response and follow up. He was personable, professional and extremely informative. He listened to my needs and concerns, assessed my home environment and thoroughly explained the various options in meeting my heating and cooling needs. He also took the time to explain how I could attain increased cost efficiency utilizing various manufacture rebates and tax credit options while enhancing both gas and electric efficiency.

Initial contact with saleperson went very well. He was helpful, listened to what I wanted/needed and explained all options. Also, took extra time to go through the house to better estimate furnace sizing. Prior to installation, took exact measurements of rooms, windows, insulations, etc., to perform a complete sizing analysis and confirm that furnace would be sized properly for the home, and all connected plumbing, venting, etc. was of the appropriate size. During actual installation, workers were very neat, courteous and respectful to my home. Asked me for clarification to questions through the install (rather than assume what I "may" want) and stayed to answer questions.

Process was great from start to finish. I've used Hetter before to install a new furnace and hot water heater. This time I requested they work with my general contractor to coordinate their work with the other trades. Once again, they did not disappoint. The work was done professionally and on time. We had one small problem with the duct coming from a bathroom fan. John came out himself to inspect, and had the repairs made immediately. I continue to use Hetter for all maintenance needs, and I am glad for making that choice as well.

They sent someone out that day to fix the problem. We've had them out many times, and they're always responsive and take care of the job job. We know we need to replace the unit, but they are still willing to work on it. They never pressure us to replace it, they just take care of it. I was surprised that they went ahead and did the repair without checking with me first, but I did want to go ahead with the work.

The blower on our 40 year old furnace broke during the hottest week of summer, making the AC unusable. Hetter sent a service tech within 15 minutes of our phone call and installed our new furnace the very next day. Very professional service.

They were great to work with and did an outstanding job. The salesman was very pleasant and thorough, he went over things very well. The installers cleaned up and left the place spotless, and the system has worked wonderfully. They were able to complete the job in a single day.

From the initial quote, through my questions about the various systems, and finally the installation, everyone I dealt with at Hetter was very polite and professional. Their pricing was competitive (not the lowest bid I received by about $100) with others that quoted on my project. I went with Hetter because they are in my neighborhood, and I believe in supporting neighborhood businesses. I would definitely use them again.

They call you within 30 minutes of coming. My brand new central heating system was installed by them too.

My experience with this company was great. I e-mailed for a quote on Tuesday, got a call back Wed and they did the installation on Thursday, very responsive. They had to unhook and move the washer & dryer to work on the water heater but were very pleasant in spite of the extra duty (which did cost a little more obviously). Chuck & Lance did the installation and did a great job. The room where the water heater is is now cleaner than it was when they got here and they made sure to fix all the mistakes in the way the old unit was hooked up. They explained all the units features and advised me to get my vent cleaned for best performance. I'm impressed with the features and warranty on the unit that is this company's first choice (Bradford White).

The installers were prompt, experienced, kept my home pretty clean, and were pleasant to be around, not a small thing considering they were at my home from 9 AM until 6 PM. The overall experience has been a good one from the original appointment for an estimate through to the installation. The only glitch was that I didn't receive a call confirming my installation (I called the sales rep).

The technicians (Chuck and Lance) that came to install it were very quick (1 hour and 15 minutes flat), and professional. I'd spent quite a bit of time researching water heaters and installers. I was very glad that I'd chosen this company to do the job.

They were very nice, efficient, did the job in a timely manner, & cleaned up every thing.
