Fantastic! I noticed water leaking coming from my water heater. I called Hetter at 8am on Thursday morning to get an estimate. Within 10 minutes I had a very reasonable estimate (including a discount for being an Angie's List member) and a scheduled appointment for installation at 10am that same day. By 1:30 in the afternoon, everything was complete. Installation was very smooth and very clean. Lance and Charlie were prompt, kind, and neat.

We were very pleased with the entire experience. We were called 1/2 hour before the installers were to arrive. They came on time and were clean and efficient.

The gentleman who came out to do the inspection was very knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to answer questions, as well as give me tips on our systems. He was punctual and professional. I've heard great things about Hetter, and he went above and beyond our expectations!

The service was really good, friendly workers, and did a good job.

On Monday, for the $89 charge for a service call, I learned my furnace had a bad motor. The HVAC units were 19 years old and were beginning to be troublesome so I requested an estimate for new. The tech called Rick Hetterscheidt. Rick came promptly and evaluated the house and the furnace and A/C. He provided me with 3 options and said he would email the results of his evaluation the following morning. We agreed that I would decide AFTER receiving the eval. He told me they could install the next day if I called later that eve, else definitely Wed if we spoke on Tues after the eval. I called Tues at 11am- eval email had not yet been sent. Hetter's price was higher than another estimate by $1,200 for same features, different brand. I got them to meet me half way on price difference, BUT they downgraded the A/C & asked to put a sign in my yard for 2 weeks. He then could not install until Thursday. I was not happy with his attitude & broken promise, so went with the other company (Jan)

Every thing was done on time, all employees from office, sales, installers to follow-ups were professional and precise. They did make a follow-up phone call within the week after install. I explained that I thought it was cooler than it should be with the thermostat set on a certain temperature, they came out and made an adjustment to the furnace, which made it even a more comfortable warming experience in our home. Excellent overall job!

They do have a tendency to come early but they do not have a problem waiting until the appointed time. This is a local company who is conscious that they are working for their neighbors.

They were wonderful, fair, honest, hardworking, through, and kept me informed. They were everything that a successful business should be. The owner, John, came out and took a look at the work site, and the 2 installers, Matt and Walt, did a very professional job. Lance, the service tech, was very honest, straight forward and excellent to deal with. Rick, the gentlemen who came out and looked at the furnace, gave me different alternatives on prices and which model I should buy. He seemed to know his equipment and product and what would work in my home. He was not pushy, and he was very honest and fair.

Fine. I've not had any problems with Hetter's. I recommend them to anyone who asks me about HVAC vendors.

They were prompt, and courteous. They even gave me flyers for a new system since I have a 20 year old furnace, which I am waiting to replace. He thought me how to light the pilot by myself, which I thought was nice.

The service person checked and verified that the furnace works correctly and replaced my filter.

The salesperson, Rick, was extremely thorough and gave us a written, itemized estimate indicating potential rebates and tax credits. I came back with several questions, and he was quick to return my calls and answer my questions via phone and email. Hetter was not the lowest estimate, but I trusted him and the work Hetter would do. Two installers were here from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, but they finished in one day. They seemed very competent and hardworking - there was no standing around at all. They cleaned up the area very well. I was shown how the thermostat and humidifier work before the guys left. I was as pleased as one can be after spending $7500 in one day (gulp!).

Company was prompt and arrived when they said they would. Work was completed per the estimate. There was leak in the plumbing where the new lines were installed. They returned the next day to fix the problem and it has been fine since then.

The team who did the installation really paid attention to the smallest of details which is a quality I don't seem to see a whole lot of in this day and age. They were simply excellent. I've worked with Hetter on one other occasion and was equally pleased. It's clear to me why they've received six consecutive Angie's Service Awards. Based on my recent experience I see no reason why it shouldn't be seven. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who need the services they provide.

They did a very good job overall. We were told that they were more expensive than others, but we chose them because we felt that they were honest. The installation was very good, and they did an excellent job keeping all of the piping neat, so that there weren't pipes hanging down low, like we had before. The only problem that we had with them is that they charged us an additional $200 over the initial cost estimate, because they had to remove more Ductboard ductwork than they thought they would. I thought they were going to remove it all, so this came as a surprise to me. We wouldn't have minded paying for this, except that we were already paying so much. It was only 3% more, which doesn't seem like much for them to bother with. They said they don't usually "nickel and dime" people, and that this was "a lot more work," which we really didn't think it seemed to be. However, we would use them again the next time, but we would be more cautious.

Their representative was Rick Hetterscheidt and he was excellent. He presented everything with no pressure, gave us options, and came back a second time because we had questions about load capacity. It was a very reasonable price; we got a number of estimates. Once we committed to it, they installed the system with in three days. Installation and clean up took less then 8 hours. The cooling system so far has been excellent.

Starting with a phone call to them on a Friday morning, Rick Hetterscheidt "worked me in" at Noon the same day. I really believe he skipped lunch that day to help me out. I had talked to several other Angie's list "A" contractors and wanted one more to compare. He came out and took his time explaining all my options and even prepared a load calculation to determine the right tonnage for my size house. His price was comparable to one other contractor and I thought I couldn't go wrong with either one...but, it was Rick's extra attention that lead me to Hetter. With a finished basement, including a drywalled ceiling, I expected problems with the installation. However, the install team worked extra hard to feed the piping through the ceiling without having to cut any holes in the ceiling. After a problem with the digital thermostat, they went a got another one and returned that evening to finish the install. Great work!!

Their estimate was lower than two others I received. The project went well, and was completed on time. A couple of minor follow up issues were resolved promptly.

Last year we had several pounds of freon added at a cost of only $52 using a different company---I'm not sure whose prices are closer to the norm. Overall, I was happy with the service provided. The technician was courteous and seemed knowledgeable.

Rick met with my husband to take measurements and discuss heating/cooling systems. He was very informative and not pressuring. He gave his cell phone number so that I could call him directly with questions since I was not present at the meeting. After discussions with Rick, we decided on the system. The following week they scheduled the installation. They were very accommodating of our schedules to schedule the day of installation. Matt and Mike arrived on time to install the system. They were efficient in their work and cleaned up the area when finished. They explained how to work basic functions of the system before leaving. We were very pleased with Hetter all the way around.

Hetter is fantastic to work with. John came out and took the time to fully understand what I was looking to have done. Worked with me on exactly where I wanted the new furnace to be placed and all the ducts to maximize headroom. Installation was quick and very, very clean. I met with 2 other highly rated companies and they were nowhere near as responsive to my ideas as John was. He was determined to only do what I wanted. Followed up on multiple occasions to ensure the system was running well, I was satisfied and to answer any questions I had. They even replaced the exhaust blower after the install because they weren't satisfied with the amount of noise it made, even though tests indicated nothing was wrong with it...truly customer focused! John provided me with multiple estimates based on 5 different models of furnace and A/C unit and all other options. Didn't pressure me at all. Hetter's estimate was even lower than the other companies.

It went great. I stopped by to talk to them about the water heaters and they answered questions. They came out the same day and installed it perfectly and double checked for any leaks. Very timely and available. They did a great job.
