Hetter?s Comfort Specialist came by my house on the Monday after Christmas, assessed the situation and laid out the various options for me. He did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of each option. I made an immediate decision on a Trane, high efficiency gas furnace. He detailed all of the work items to be completed as part of the furnace replacement. He answered all of the questions I had during this process to my satisfaction. The next morning the Hetter technicians were at my house to do the installation! I was amazed and pleased that they were able to get this installation scheduled for the next day, especially since we were in the week between Christmas and New Years. Both of the Hetter technicians were very professional and pleasant! They spent the better part of the day here, completing this installation. It was a very tight space they had to work in and it did not make for an easy installation. They did such a great job! They talked with me at the start of the process, midway through the installation and again when the installation was completed. They explained the details of the work that was going to be done, they explained some issues that I needed to be aware of and address related to air conditioning and explained what I needed to do going forward in the way of care for the new furnace. They answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. And at the end of the day, they left no indicators that they had been there, except for a warm and comfortable house. My thanks to the Hetter team! This entire first experience with Hetter Heating & Cooling was pleasant, professional, stress-free and quite informative for me. They are my HVAC team from this day forward. I will send any friends, relatives or neighbors with HVAC needs directly to Hetter Heating & Cooling!

There was a hole on the condensation hose so he fixed the whole hose and watched it after he turned the furnace back on to make sure it was not leaking. So far, what he did was 100% correct. It was a free service because we just bought the furnace so it was all considered part of their maintenance.

Terrible. Initial installation did not pass city inspection due to faulty wiring of heating units by Hetter. In addition, Hetter installed the vent pip to vent directly into the outside condensor unit. When we turned on the furnace when the weather got cold, the warm moist air vented from the furnace to the outside hit the cold metal condensor unit, causing a lot of water buidup, which froze into a huge block of ice inside and outside the exterior condensor unit. It seems like common sense would tell you not to vent warm moist indoor air directly onto a cold metal exterior unit. In addition, the vent pipe was not properly connected so condensation leaked from the pipe all over the basement floor in an area we don't normally hang out in, causing extensive damage to stored items and mold in the basement. Finally, they didn't even seal the vent pipe, they just knocked a hole in the brick and stuck the pipe out to the exterior. You could move the pipe side to side with no problem. The space between the pipe and the brick allowed cold air to enter the basement, something we didn't need. Basically we paid top money for very poor workmanship. I would never do business with this outfit again. In fact, I paid another contractor to finish the job to keep Hetter out of my house as they seemed to screw up something new with each visit.

Their technicians seemed knowledgeable. They usually schedule us pretty fast like within a day. They are always friendly and polite. I liked the fact that the technician who came over was amenable. He was willing to look at my furnace too and adjust it. I only had to pay for one service call instead of two, which was nice.

It was very good. I got 5 estimates and they were the only one that did the industry standard calculation for the size of the furnace that was needed for the house. They determined that the original air conditioner was wider than it needed to be, so they actually saved me money. The whole experience was very good. They were right on time.

The work went well. They were very professional and responsive. I will use them again in the future.

This was the second estimate I got after I found out that my furnace needed to be replaced. The Hetter rep recommended a smaller capacity furnace after performing a heat loss analysis, which the first company did not do. The installation was scheduled a few days after I called and accpeted the estimate. The technician was professional and gave me all the information about the furnace and thermostat that I needed. It was very good experience overall dealing with Hetter.

They are great. Everything has gone fine. I call Hetter for all of my warranty related issues.

Rep showed up on time for the initial meeting, however, after leaving he promised to email us information regarding what size furnace we actually needed, said he was going to run the information on a computer program back at the office. After initial visit, we had no contact with Hetter, there was no follow up, no emails, nothing... so we went with Wolfe & Sons.

They were very responsive and quick, they were able to come within a couple of hours after I called. I would say the price was pretty fair and the quallity was good. I would use Hetter again in the future if needed.

I have been using them for about 10 years. They are dependable and do quality work. They provide good customer service and they are nice to have in my house. I would continue to use them.

We've used them for at least five years. They are very good and we have been satisfied with them. We bought a new furnace from them several years ago. They are reliable. They let us know in advance when they are coming out and we will continue to use them.

I got 4 competing quotes for identical Trane HVAC systems in one day, last Friday. (Two other companies couldn't come out until the following Tuesday.) Hetter started out the highest in cost, but Rick was by far the most knowledgeable and clear about technical aspects. He called back later that day and lowered his prices by $2000, which put Hetter right in line with the others. At that point, the choice was clear. The installation was done on Monday (the next working day after the quotes, something the other bidders couldn't promise) and took from 9am to 8pm. The two workers were pleasant, put down runners everywhere, cleaned up completely, and explained the operation and maintenance at just the right level. I even got some equipment that I wasn't expecting and we hadn't discussed: automated humidifier controls operated from the new thermostats. These are extra-cost options and had to be fit to my existing humidifiers. I couldn't be happier with Hetter, the installation, or the result. The only thing I would caution about is the high first price that was truly out of line with the market (which is admittedly very weak right now, particularly in the no-heat/no-cool month of September).

They arrived a little early and began work. Since there was extra room, we discussed moving the furnace from its current location to free up space in the utility room. I thought we had agreed to one thing, but when I came down a few hours later to look they were putting it in the old location. They agreed to move it, but at an extra cost that I felt was a little high but not unreasonable. I mention this not to lay blame, but just that somewhere there was a breakdown in communication. One of the two technicians was also sort of passive-aggressive about it after this, which I didn't really appreciate. Towards the end of the install I saw them running the drain pipe over the floor to the drain. This was non unexpected as that is how the old furnace had been. But I asked if their were any alternatives and they said they could put in a pump to pump the water up across the ceiling and into the washing machine drain. I also agreed to that, and it was great the had the knowledge to suggest exactly what I needed. I had previously purchased my own thermostat. It was something really fancy that I could control the thermostat from my computer. They worked with me and spent extra time installing it at my request, even though the directions were not as clear as we would have liked. We found during the course of the day I had a missing part. They came back later in the week to finish the install once that part arrived. Finally, the agreed to replace my junky dryer duct with a new, solid one. That was very nice.

Hetter Heating and Cooling did an excellent job from the initial evaluation of my home's heating and cooling needs to the expert installation. They made sure that the equipment I purchased was the right size for my home. Rick was always responsive to my emails that I sent with follow-up questions. Matt and Wally did the installation in one day. They did an excellent job and always took time to answer any questions I had. They removed all the old equipment and left my basement looking better than it did before they arrived.

John and Rick were both quick to respond to our call for help. THey both came to our home to talk with us and assess our problems. Within a couple of days Rick returned with a few options to resolve our problems. We replaced our gas furnace and air conditioner, had a collapsed vent fixed, and had a damper installed. The installers were polite, professional, timely, and cleaned up after themselves. Rick returned a few days after the installation to make sure that everything was installed to our satisfaction. We were very pleased with Hetter Heating and Cooling and their employees.

Our sales rep came out and was very informative and low pressure. We decided to upgrade to a highly efficient unit. They did great work and even came back out to check it a few times. They were very professional and efficient.

Best offer of the three we contacted. All appointments very prompt. Very good installation crew. One full day to remove old equipment and install new. Old equipment removed - good clean-up. Explained operation fully. Had a call-back for a noise in the outdoor heat pump unit. Turned out to be loose screw - factory issue.

The installation went very smoothly. We haven't had any problems, the product saves us money on gas, and everything has worked out very nicely.

They have been wodnerful. We continue to use them and have been very pleased.

Contacted 4 local HVAC companies and decided to use Hetter Heating & Cooling because of salesman's(Rick)knowledge and willingness to answer questions and conduct a free home HVAC evaluation. It was this evaluation that identified that our previous heat pump systems were over sized and, by correctly sizing our system, saved us $400. Company pricing was competitive but their professionalism and expertise were top in my book. We OK'd Hetter to install on Thursday and they were at our house the next day to install the equipment. The installers arrived on time and worked diligently completing installation that afternoon. They took the time to familiarize my wife and I with the new digital thermostat, air filter and overall system. Rick called several days later to get our inputs on the installation.

I feel that they are very professional. They call me ahead of time when I'm still at work so I don't have to waste the whole afternoon at home. They let me know they'll arrive in a certain amount of time which I really appreciate. I haven't had any problems and I have been very happy with their service.

Shortly after conducting our annual furnace check-up/maintenance, our system stopped working. Chuck from Hetter was very conscientious and thorough in explaining our options. Ultimately, we decided to replace our furnace rather than repair it. Within 30 minutes, a salesman from Hetter was in our basement, explaining various options, without pressure or tacky sales pitches. He seemed genuinely more concerned about the temperature inside our house and provided several space heaters for our use overnight. The installation team arrived exactly at the time promised the next morning and completed the work quickly. The technician was helpful, walked me through the operation of our new system and cleaned up after himself. What could have been an unpleasant experience was actually rather painless.
