Everything went well. I will probably not hire them again because of the price.

I got three estimates and I went with someone else. I went with someone who did my roof before. They were a really high pressure sale. You have three days to go through it. I had put a deposit down. I went to the company the next day and explained that I wasn’t comfortable with it. They were very gracious about it and gave my money back. I was intimidated by their sale. They gave me a lot of good information and I did appreciate that.

It was a cold call situation. They came and knocked on our door a couple of days after an ice storm knocked down a gutter. There were some glitches with completing the order. They initially took incorrect measurements and had to return a couple of times before completing the order. We were happy with the product. A year after the installation, we did have a problem with a gutter not draining properly. We had a fifteen year guarantee and they held true to their word. After the work was complete, I continued to receive a lot of sales calls that I had to block their number.

They did a great job! They cleaned up dail. When we had any problems or errors, they addressed and remedied the issues right away. However, we are not pleased with our gutters and they still do not work properly. In fact, we will be calling this week about this. The sales men was horrible. I am very thankful I read the contract thoroughly because he did not fill out the forms properly. He had to come back five different times with the new versions of the contract and delayed the overall project. I can't believe I hired them after the experience with the salesman but I am glad I did.

The estimator arrived and inspected my roof. He was honest, friendly and professional. He told me what my options were and he gave me three prices for three different quality packages of which I thought were rather high. He seemed genuine and was a very nice man but I decided that I did not need the roof done at this time due to the fact that my roof is still fine and this was the first estimate I have received and I did not have anything to evaluate the pricing against.compare the estimate to so that I could see if it was in line.

DO: Research window buying on your own before you call any companies DO: Understand insulation values...not just the R-value or U-value, but things like SHGC, VT, etc...there is also a rating for how much air/wind a window allows to pass through. DONT: Take "buying advice" from a window manufacturer DONT: Take their first offer or allow them to force you into something on the first day

I was satisfied in all areas. Just like with the roof job, the salesman was excellent. He was not pushy. The crew that came out was good. The team leader was very nice and explained everything that would be done thoroughly. They proceeded, accomplished it, and cleaned up. For future reference, I wanted to know what window would be best for my living room and they suggested three different ones that would look good. I asked my salesman what he would like and he said he wouldn't pick for me. He did tell me that they did a particular one a lot and he explained all about it. It's beautiful and it looks very good. They were all very kind. So between the roof and the gutters, Hansons was "A" all around!

My experience with Hansons was the worst experience I've had with a sub-contractor. From the high pressure sales tactics to the unprofessional installation everything was a disaster. At least the salesman was on time, but when he was done with his presentation, my wife and I, told him that he was our first bid and we wanted to get bids from other companies to compare price and quality of products. After several calls to his manager and more and more pressure to sign that night, we caved on a price that we thought was to good to pass up. Everything went well untill the day of the installation. The crew was late, although I did receive a phone call to explain before they arrived. It seems that the window I purchased was to heavy for a two man crew to load and they had a hard time loading it into thier pickup truck. When the crew arrived they asked me if I could help them install the window because they didn't have a third man to help manuver the window into place. Not wanting them to drop and damage my new window I obliged. After lifting the window into place and securing it, I left the crew to do the finish work. This is where I figured out what happend to the price. Apparently, the salesperson took all the inside finsh work off the work order to get a price that we would agree to that night. The outcome of this was that I had to do all the interior and redo the exterior finish work. I wish I would have taken pictures of how they left the front of my house but I didn't. The work was horrible. I will never let Hansons near my home again.

They did the job cleanly and effectively. They had a good crew of workers. They were here on time and cleaned the place up afterwards. The job looks good. I was concerned with the roof, as I'm 67 years old. The previous roof had been on for many years. I thought it was time to change. Because of my age, I was most impressed and appreciative of the clean up they did after they were finished.

I was satisfied in all areas. The city was giving me a difficult time regarding my permit, and Hansons put the roof on to stop the leaking. By the time the storm came, there was no more leakage. My concern was the cost, and they were able to give me a very reasonable rate, especially opposed to other estimates I received. I looked at two other local contractors. I went with Hansons because of the quality of materials they use and the person I spoke with. When they saw I was having some difficulty, they were willing to work with me. The other companies didn't even bother to give me an estimate

We did not work with this vendor after the terrible experience with the sales person. WE wanted a quote and got so much more than we asked for!

I am not a roof expert, but during the first rain there was water in my house leaking from the roof after they completed the job. The company was called to come back and fix it. They did, but it was after 4 more days of rainy weather. That was a huge turn off for me to ever use them again or recommend them to someone else.

The job went well. They did everything that they said they would do. I would recommend them.

They are one of the people who did an estimate for me. They came out and were very professional. They did a nice job of presenting it. I didn't use them for this job; but I might use them in the future.

The sales pitch was somewhat aggressive. They use the "sign now or else price goes up" marketing ploy. It's really silly. I felt pressured the whole time, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The quality of the window samples was average, nothing to write home about.

I did interview the Hansons's representative along with 6 other companies for window replacement. I decided not to replace windows immediately, but I had given Hansons a deposit. They returned the deposit without any hassle after I talked with the right person. So they acted with integrity despite the loss of my business. That fact raises them above others in terms of "trust factor" in my estimation, even though I do not have any authority to speak about the product itself.

That was the first upgrade we did when we bought the house. The bow window was $3,000 and my dad paid for that. They installed everything and they did a great job. We actually took advantage of their credit where it was 6 months and we paid that off. Then we said how about we write them a bunch of checks and they leave them in their drawer and then every time my husband got paid they would take a check and cash it. We paid off the $2,000 that was left in about a year or so. They knew that every two weeks they were going to get paid. This way we didn't have to pay interest. They probably wouldn't do that now.

I ended up just cancelling the appointment. I am a busy person and I can't keep rescheduling times because of them. They called me a ton of times and asked the same questions over and over each time. I got annoyed by the second call. Even when I told them I went with another contractor, they proceeded to try to sell me new windows or doors! I was SHOCKED and just ended up hanging up because I couldn't get the person on the phone to understand that I was NOT impressed with the service, high pressure sales and unprofessionalism. I would rather use a local contractor who is based out of our area anyways. I didn't realize this office here is just a satellite office and they are based out of Detroit area.

The price was reasonable, however the communication was poor. We did not really enjoy the pushy sales techniques and made it clear we ran a very tight schedule. The salesmen gave us a follow-up measure appointment for two days later. We reminded him this was a holiday and asked if the appointment would be kept. He responded they would be working. The appointment time came and went with no call, no vist. After 30 minutes we called the office to cancel the contract. They tried to make us feel bad as it is their policy to charge their salesmen $100 for each canceled contract. The next day a manager called us to inform us they had fired the person who was set to do our measure. And tried to get us to reconcider, as the computer system had lost all the appointments on the terminated persons schedule. Apparently we were the 3rd on that day. My time is worth a phone call to reschedule.

This is a great company all around. I felt comfortable with our salesman, who was very professional and knowledgeable about their products, and absolutely loved the installation team. They were so kind, cleaned up after themselves the entire time, and worked quickly - I couldn't believe how fast our windows were replaced. And the final product? Our new windows and doors look incredible. So happy with our experience.

We were very impressed by the entire process. Our salesman was courteous and knowledgeable, our installers worked very hard, were clean and efficient, and we love the product. Very satisfied.

The sales man who came to our home for the estimate pressured us a bit to much and he stayed for two hours. The prices were a bit high so we didn't go with this company.

The workmen (Steve & Denny) were VERY nice and did a very good job. They called to say they were on the way. The day they came to install the windows it was about 5 degrees outside and there was snow & ice on the ground. One worked "inside" and one worked outside. They completed 7 windows the first day and came back the second to finish the last 3. They cleaned up very well even though it was hard to in the snow & ice. They took all my mini blinds down and then put them back up when they were finished. I could tell these windows were not the first replacement windows they had done. They worked well together and seemed to know what they were doing. My husband & I were very pleased.

We never got past the sales presentation. It was like a carnival shell game. The big turn off was when we played a guessing game to guess the price of the job. If we were close we would be given a $500 reduction in the final cost. We saw this as a way to see how much we were willing to spend. When the company called to see what we thought of the sales rep, I told them we were very unhappy and would not be dealing with them.

They were a very good company, they were very professional and they were very well prepared, but they were about one thousand dollars over the next lowest. They were very expensive.
