I was very impressed by Charlie. He came to the house twice, spent a lot of time talking with us about the project - what the possibilities were and what we wanted. He is clearly proud of the work he does and very conscientious - very concerned about doing a quality job. He was also honest with us about potential roadblocks, which we appreciated. We did not end up going with him because his bid was beyond our budget, but I would certainly recommend him to others.

Fabulous, darling, fabulous! After setting goals and deadlines with Charlie (he promised I'd have my kitchen back for the family Thanksgiving feast), I ordered all supplies. Within two weeks of selecting all the fixtures that were in stock, we were in business! I was only out of my kitchen for one week and it all ran smoothly. The lead foreman was available to answer any questions and solve any glitches that occurred. I enjoyed not only showing off my new kitchen, but serving a delicious Thanksgiving feast for over a dozen family members and friends (as Charlie promised!)!! I enjoyed working with a professional staff of qualified craftsmen who knew what had to be done for a beautifully completed home improvement project! Hats off to Griffey and Associates, Inc.!

Awesome Job! Very easy to work with from start to finish. Great communication and always returned phone calls and emails during the project. The work site was always clean. Absolutely no complaints. I hope to use them again on our next project.

The project was completed on time. I was kept advised of developments. The crew worked hard and did a good job. I am pleased with the result.

We saw Karl (our project manager) at the Home and Garden show and left our contact information with him. Charlie called us back right away and scheduled a time to come out and talk to us. Charlie took pictures and asked questions as we were describing what we had in mind. He was meticulous in asking questions so that he understood exactly what we wanted/needed in the addition. He worked within our budget, but also gave us pricing for some options that we inquired about. The project started on time and went smoothly. There are always bumps in the road, but Karl was always quick to remedy the situation. Overall it was a good experience with a great company.

Great experience from initial discussions and planning through completion of project...on time and on budget but more importantly...the quality of work was excellent. We would be pleased to be a reference for Charlie, Carl and team at any time.

Charlie Griffey came and gave us a bid. Charlie was knowledgeable and punctual. Our only complaints about the whole operation concern these early stages: Charlie estimated 4-6 weeks to do the job. It took more like 4 months. There was a delay of about a month in the middle while we appealed a ruling by the Victorian Village commission, but setting that aside Charlie's estimate on timing was still way too optimistic. Nevertheless, overall we are extremely pleased with the job. Carl was the construction manager in charge of our job and he was very responsive to us when things came up along the way. The various crews that worked on the project were competent, courteous and responsible. They kept the house pretty clean, considering what was going on. They did excellent work. And they helped us move things into the attic at the end, which was nice. When there was a problem with the cable wiring, Carl got an electrician to our house on Saturday morning of the Michigan game to fix it.

We contacted Griffey, along with several other companies to get a general design and quotes for our project. We chose Griffey due to their prompt response and professionalism. After several weeks of planning and waiting for materials, our project got underway. Overall, we were very happy with the workmanship and attention to detail. We had very specific requests for the way we wanted the kitchen (and surroundings to look), and Griffey & Assoc. was extremely accommodating. They made sure at every step that we had exactly what we wanted. Although there were a few minor ''hiccups'', as is to be expected, all issues were addressed promptly and professionally, and we were very satisfied with the outcome. We had everything done from refinishing of all of our hardwood floors, granite countertops, custom wainscoating, painting, and more. We are very pleased with our new kitchen. It is exactly what we wanted and would absolutely use Griffey & Assoc. again should the need arise.

I thought Mr. Griffey's attitude was completely unprofessional.

We were ready to begin our project, and were hoping to get a bid from Charlie. His rating would indicate good service, and we were disappointed that he didn't follow through.

Overall I am very satisfied with the end product, though we had a rough patch along the way. The framer (not their usual guy, who was injured) used rough and imperfect cedar in places, necessitating replacing some boards and sanding others, and the railings had to be redone. But Karl and Charlie made sure we (and they) were satisfied with the quality. The porch is beautiful inside and out, undeniably sturdy, and we have received many compliments. Their architect designed exactly the kind of porch we wanted and the painters did an excellent job too. Despite the little problem, I trust Griffey and would use them again.

Griffey & Associates delivers exceptional service. Charlie reviewed our initial proposal and gave valuable input for home improvements in the planning process. He recommended reputable companies with quality products for cabinets, backsplash, countertops, flooring, and other supplies. Karl was flawless in organizing tasks and checked our satisfaction during the process. When we left a message, our calls were returned within an hour. Karl provided a detailed daily schedule. Work was done ahead of schedule although we made requests for additional tasks during the project. Workers were pleasant, professional, experienced, and always arrived on time. They cleaned up well each day and minimized disruptions to our routine. All of the staff were attentive to detail and quickly addressed the minor issues and add-ons as they arose. They met all of our high expectations regarding quality, punctuality, expertise, and customer service. We are very pleased with the final outcome!

We are enjoying the new kitchen. The work was well done and in a timely manner. The time-line which was given to us before construction started was quite accurate. Communication was excellent. We would definitely hire this company for a future job.

Very happy with overall experience. Very professional, always on time, and listened well to requests and directions. Dealt with problems quickly. Kept us advised on status. Griffey employees were exceptional. Their subcontractors with very good with one exception which they dealth with.

I left a message for them but never got a call back. It would have been nice if they had just called to let me know they weren't interested.

Griffey & Associates have finished remodeling our kitchen, and I would like to report they did a wonderful job. I love my new kitchen. Their workers were skilled at each of their jobs and always cleaned up at the end of each day. We were concerned about getting the work completed before we had family coming this summer, but they were finished on time, and I can hardly wait for everyone to see my new kitchen.

Griffey and Associates was a high quality, top of the line, A++ company to work with. While other companies I had contacted said it would take three weeks to get a layout, Charlie had one for us in three days. He had listened to every detail we had given him during our first meeting and had an almost perfect design. As soon as the contract was signed we received a call from Carl to introduce himself as our go to person. He also set up a time to meet with us so he could see the job site first hand and answer any questions we might have. Larry and the rest of the install team were great to work with. They showed up on time and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. During the install Carl kept us updated. The day the job was complete Charlie and Carl called and came to see the work that was done. This company and team of individuals were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to do a remodel.

Totally great experience!! Even though this wasn't a huge job, everyone treated it like it was. I didn't quite know what I wanted to do to update our kitchen, but Charlie made suggestions that were exactly right for our kitchen. We were given a schedule at the beginning of the project outlining what would occur and when. Everyone arrived at our house when promised, did exceptional work, and never left anything to clean up. I would use them again in a New York minute!

They were very punctual, did a good job of calling me with any changes, suggestions or information. Their workers were extremely tidy and careful to protect my floors from damage or dirt. The back-splash work was truly excellent. Their tile man worked with me to develop a design, and did meticulous work. They installed a few extra bits of trim at no charge and the final cost came to slightly under the original cost because we purchased the tile ourselves. Small fixes were needed after they were done, and they did them swiftly and to our satisfaction. One problem/suggestion: Because of the nature of installing counter-tops, we were to be sink-less for nearly 3 weeks (they told us about this beforehand) Fortunately, we have our own handyman who put back a piece of the counter with our old sink so we had water in our kitchen for the duration. It would be nice if Griffey did this as a standard practice for customers.

We were very pleased with how quickly they came to fix the problem. We're going to use him for future work, and have recommended him to members of our family.

I'm not going to be able to say how wonderful Griffey & Assoc. were. This wonderful experience started at the estimate meeting. Charlie had wonderful ideas to make my kitchen more functional. After signing contract the work began within a week. My site foreman was Karl. He went way above and beyond to make this remodel as stress free as possible. He was very caring, and responsive to all my concerns. If I had a question he was very ease to reach and talk too. Larry, the work supervisor, worked on my kitchen until it was perfect. I really felt like he was working as hard on my kitchen as he would his own. My kitchen took about 2 1/2 weeks to finish. I'm so happy that I worked with all these wonderful people at Griffey & Assoc. I found it very hard to say good bye and thank you when my kitchen was complete.

We received a schedule as to when the work would be completed. Everything was done on time just as they said it would be. All workers were polite, professional and experienced. The project manager Karl communicated with me continuously for updates and was very easy to work with. Charlie Griffey, the president of the company met with me before the project started, called me in the middle and met with me at the end to make sure everything went as planned. The work was quality work. After dealing with many contractors over the years this is the first experience that we have had with such excellent customer service. They have filled a niche of bringing customer service and home improvement together. We are extremely pleased and will continue to use them in the future and refer them to friends.
