Granite Direct was great to work with. Everyone on the staff was very professional and very kind. They were very accommodating, especially when we had to postpone some of the work due to a water leak in our house. I had quotes from several different places and this was the lowest price by quite a bit. They gave me lots of options for sinks, stones, and they were willing to work with our budget and help us make the best decision. We had a great experience and we would definitely recommend them.

It was very efficiently and beautifully done, and the technicians were very friendly! The measurements were perfect, the granite was beautiful, and I was very happy with the work. I highly recommend them, and Carolyn is very knowledgeable and gives great advice!

Our first contact with Granite Direct was at the 2016 Spring Home & Builders Show. We left them a rough sketch with measurements and within a couple of days we received a quote. Carolyn sent us the names and addresses of their granite suppliers and we went and put together a short list of selections. This was all new to us as we've never had granite counters installed. We received a second quote from a different company which was a little less than the Granite Direct quote. But they were very slow to respond so we felt that Granite Direct would give us better customer service. A lower quote doesn't do much for you if the customer service is sub-par. The measurement and installation went great. The techs were prompt and professional. There is one thing I would do different, and this is totally on me and nothing to do with Granite Direct. We bought a single hole faucet and also wanted to install the soap dispenser so that would require cutting two holes. We've never had either of these before. When the tech was in taking the measurements he asked me how far apart I wanted the soap dispenser from the faucet. Instead of grabbing my faucet and getting a good idea of what it would look like installed I told him that 6 inches should be enough. Everything was installed just fine but we probably should have had an 8 inch separation. The other thing we learned is that granite in Columbus moves fast. A slab that you see one day will be gone two days later and then you might be starting over in the selection process. Granite Direct was great to work with. Carolyn is very friendly with a positive attitude. We would definitely use them again.

After six months of research and receiving quotes from several other companies I found Granite Direct. The first time talking with Carolyn was such a positive experience. She was so willing to help and she gave me a couple different options that would fit our needs. Her expertise and enthusiasm were so greatly appreciated. We replaced countertops in two kitchens and the master bathroom. The person that came to do all the measurements was punctual and professional. The installers were amazing! They were meticulous and very professional. The countertops fit like a glove and look beautiful. They look so nice I have not even thought about a backsplash yet. Our experience with Granite Direct was definitely worth all the research and time! I would highly recommend this company. Thank you Carolyn!!!

I was referred to Granite Direct by my neighbor who works in construction and he assured me they would do a great job. Starting with my initial contact I had nothing but a great experience. Carolyn came to the house to measure the counters and was very professional and prompt with all her communication throughout the process. She was also able to offer great advice on selecting the granite and sink. I found that everyone that I came in contact with was kind, courteous and professional and did a great job. I had another company tell me that it would take two slabs of granite to do my kitchen (for double the price) but Granite Direct was able to do it with one slab. They were also able to place the seam across the sink and it is so well done that you can barely see it. We used their plumbing service to hook up the sink and install the new faucet and he was very nice and efficient. I would hire this company again and highly recommend them to anyone thinking about having granite installed in their home.

From start to finish Walter and his team have been phenomenal to work with! They have made this process easy and fun. Their price was great and they were right on time w/measurement and installation. My countertops and sink were installed one week after measurment, exactly when Walter promised. I could not be more pleased with this experience! Countertops are even more beautiful than I imagined!!!

I contacted Walter to see if he could repair our undermount sink in our bathroom. The epoxy mounts used by another company had come out and the sink fell as it wasn't correctly installed the first time by another company. Walter first told me that they don't normally do repair work or install sinks if the countertop wasn't theirs. But he then told me he would be happy to take a look at pictures of the job and let me know if he could help me. I sent him pictures late Thursday afternoon, Walter got back with me early Friday morning to let me know he could do the job and have someone at my house to fix it Monday afternoon. I didn't get back with Walter until Saturday afternoon when I sent him an additional question regarding the process he was planning on using as the job required some repair work to install new epoxy mounts. Walter responded back to me Sunday afternoon at which point I asked him if he would still be able to schedule the job for today (Monday). I received a call at about 12 today from the installer asking if they should head over then or do another job first, I asked them to come a little later after the other job, he told me he would be here closer to 3pm. Before they came out they called again to make sure it was ok for them to head over. They then arrived right when they said they would and quickly fixed the sink doing a great job. Walter told me the charge would be $150 for the first 30 min with a charge of $50 for each 30 minutes thereafter. It took them a little less than an hour to do the whole job which is exactly what Walter had estimated. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was told the full charge would be for just the first 30 minutes. They did a great job and cleaned up very nicely afterwords. They were very polite and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat! Thank you Walter for doing a great job and keeping the cost to below the expected cost! You have a great new fan here!

Walter was very professional, and is a man of his word. The quality of work is outstanding. They made this process so streamlined and easy for me. From initial onset, Walter and his guys were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. It is clear they have your best interest in mind and you can tell that with every person you meet from this company. We did have a bit of a set back when we picked out the stone from the supplier in that the second stone had a crack that neither of us knew about. When we went to look at the stone and noticed it, we called Walter right away and he said he would meet us right away at the stone yard (this was on a Saturday)! Given that the stone we picked was extremely expensive (one of the most expensive in the lot), he carefully measured and found it that it would not fit for our project so he worked with the supplier and got us a new slab. When planning the layout on the stone, Walter's expertise was invaluable and he helped us to determine the best piece for our island and surrounding pieces. We also had a bit of a setback regarding our bathroom counter installation and Walter was more than willing to accommodate our schedule and actually agreed to install our kitchen counters and then have his guys come back to install the bathroom at a later date! Walter was always available, extremely responsive and very accommodating. If I had one small gripe, it was that his guys were a bit late getting to the job both times, but they called each time and they stayed until about 8pm one night and 5 another night just so they could get the job done. One of the installers actually came back in his own car to finish since he did not want to leave the job unfinished. These guys pride themselves in the work they do and I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for new countertops. Go visit them and talk to Walter. You will not be disappointed in the quality and ability to deliver on time.

The craftsmanship, perfection and customer service in EVERYTHING they did as a team was extraordinary! These guys are true professionals! Only two small meticulous seems were needed for this large project!! They went the EXTRA MILE in everything they did to make sure we were satisfied. WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE--THEY KNOW GRANITE--THIS IS A COMPANY YOU CAN TRUST! It's rare when you find a contractor of this quality, value and ownership in everything they do for a big return on your investment! If you want granite this is the place to call!

Walter did an EXCELLENT job of installing our granite countertops in our kitchen. They are absolutely beautiful! I am so happy with the results that I would recommend Walter with Granite Direct to anyone and everyone. First, we went to IGM, a marble and granite supplier and walked through the warehouse to look at the various slabs. I initially wanted Carrera Marble and had my heart set on it, but we were informed by several professionals not to use marble in a kitchen as it does not hold up and it stains and scratches easily. I eventually settled on the 'Valley White' granite, which is just as beautiful! Walter connected with IGM to get the granite slab that we chose. We had Walter out to field measure our base cabinets for the counters, then my husband and I ended up changing our kitchen layout so he came back out a second time to field measure. Then a third time, we moved the refrigerator location and we were able to get Walter the measurements and he adjusted accordingly. As annoying as this was I'm sure, he happily worked with us! We also ordered an island which had not come in yet, so Walter took the measurements from us, cut a slab of granite for the island, and stored it in our basement. He is coming back to put this top on when our island is installed. I am a construction project manager and I often pick out imperfections as a part of my job, and I must say that this granite was PERFECTLY cut and installed. The corners are perfect, the seams at the sink are not noticeable at all, and the silicone caulking is perfectly straight. The smoothed edges look fantastic and he did this on site- which I know is no small feat. He also left a small bottle of granite sealer for us to use. Overall, this was a very smooth process and I am extremely happy with my counters and with Walter's work. It was worth the price!

We searched all over and priced granite at several places. In my experience, you better know your own sq ft. needed or you will be ripped off. I priced at several and Walter Stech and Granite Direct were honest and didn't try to pad the estimate with extra sq ft at $$ per sq. ft. I warn you about Stone City on Huntley.....waaayyy over on sq footage which is why their "free sink" isn't free. The precision equipment used to come to the home and measure is impressive. The installation went without hitch. Walter even secured the exact piece of granite we were looking for that wasn't available locally. They installed a 60/40 quality sink, good gauge thickness, and sent a plumber to finish installation. Walter was very good about contact and keeping me informed during the process. I will use them again for another project, hopefully soon, and have referred all friends I know are looking for fabrication.

Went very well. Very professional and courteous and I was at ease with the two gentleman around. Jeremiah and Staus could not have been nicer. Also very clean and all work done in 4 hours. Bob, their plumber was also very punctual and pleasant and thorough. The owner, Walter Stech, was very professional and thorough and obviously loves his granite.

WOW! We are overly impressed! From the initial phone call until the installers left, they were very courteous and professional. They were very attentive to what we wanted and did not charge us for minor tweaks or personal request. Being in a service industry ourselves, we can tell you that personal service means everything to us... and Granite Direct went above and beyond what we expected. We have already referred them to two of our clients and we will continue.

I have never been more impressed...GRANITE DIRECT supplied the granite counter tops for my quite large kitchen. I've built approximated 12 houses in the past, and have never enjoyed a company that performed as well as this company. From the very first, the office personnel were personable and informative. They offered a vast variety of quality granite and a very reasonable price. As you may know, measuring complex counter tops can sometimes be a problem, the system they use is extremely impressive......I've never seen anything like it.......it measured my counters perfectly. What they said was exactly what they did.....they measured one day and installed two days later. Their installers were great......they were completed on time and left my home clean and my granite tops are unbelievably beautiful. I debated for a long time and looked into several companies before deciding on GRANITE DIRECT. I am so happy that I made them the company for this job. Everything this company does is exactly what you are looking for. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for counter tops.

No other granite fabricator could deliver countertop in time frame that we needed it to happen. Other fabricators were not able to deliver for 4 weeks or more. Walter was very courteous and showed us remnants that would fit our new cabinet, along with several choices for a sink. Template was prepared in 3 days after first visit as promised. Technician was on time. It took about 75 minutes to produce a template in electronic format. Countertop was delivered 4 days later as promised. Installers arrived on time and finished in less than 2 hours. Our countertop was not a perfect rectangle and the installers made it fit so that the new top hid the deeper side as good as could be expected. The side and back splashes were cut so that the pattern in the granite flowed up, into the splash. Nice detail! Then they caulked the joints and sealed the granite. All workers cleaned up before they left and there was no dust from the drill that cut the faucet holes. Note: If you pay by credit card, expect to pay a 4% convenience fee.

walter came and measured for counter tops. he sent an estimate right away. my contractor found a cheaper estimate and walter matched it. he came to do the template (and helped me with my barn door too!). installers put counter top in but not the backsplash. i called (there was some paperwork misunderstanding) so they returned right away and put it on.

I was checking out another company around the corner when I saw the balloons at Granite Direct. I could immediately tell that Walter was the person for the job. I appreciated his attention to detail. Also, he offered a better price for the same granite, a heavier sink, and a much faster installation date. I emailed my measurement and receive a quote the same day. He gave us pricing for three levels of granite and told us that if we found a larger slab, without a directional pattern, we could save money. Once we found that perfect slab, Walter came later that week to measure. By the way, the digital template is awesome! The granite install, 5-6 days later, went without any problems. Backing up a few days, I got to go to the shop and pick which part of the slab I wanted on my peninsula. I thought that was cool too. I really like the hands on approach. However, if someone doesn't have time for that I would not hesitate to let Walter and Roman make the decision. I would not hesitate to use Granite Direct for marble, granite, quartz, etc. Great customer service!

The hardest part of the entire procedure was choosing between the beautiful slabs. Everyone was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Phone calls are returned promptly and their service goes above and beyond what you would expect! Great price! We were so happy with our counter tops, we ordered bathroom vanity tops. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Recommended them to my son and he is very pleased with the bar tops they installed for him. You won't be disappointed it you use them.

During the install, the workers had not allowed enough space to slide our stove back in. They had to grind down a countertop IN PLACE which promptly filled the entire house with a thick cloud of dust. Other than that, the installers were friendly and apologetic. After we spent a couple of hours of vacuuming and dusting, it was forgotten. Eight months to the day after the install, I called about our undermount sink that appeared to be loose. The seam between the countertop and sink would open up and water would squish in and out. The sink did not fall due to the installer's safety cable. When this company was contacted about a warranty repair, they replied, "As a part of our fabrication / installation charge … we will only be doing repairs of issues reported within a week of installation. Issues reported longer than one week from installation are considered to have been caused by reasons not related to our workmanship, but caused by improper use and / or cabinets or floor structure not providing adequate support for heavy granite countertops". In my opinion, this is clearly an installation issue rather than structural. Our sink base row of cabinets sits almost on top of a basement wall so there is absolutely no floor deflection. It's also a 85 year old house and is way "overbuilt" by today's standards. Our custom cabinets are constructed entirely of 3/4" furniture-grade plywood and hardwood face frames – no particleboard, no 5/8", no 1/2", etc. You probably will never see a stronger cabinet. Other granite companies I have talked to say that a properly installed undermount sink should never come loose. In summary, a 1 week warranty is ONE WEAK WARRANTY.

AMAZING!!!! The crew were fantastic and very nice. The black pearl looks beautiful in my kitchen. Highly recommend them.

Walt, the owner of Granite direct is different from most other Kitchen countertop contractors in several good ways: 1. He gave us the best price for one cut granite countertop vs two cuts 2. While most kitchen contractors only wanted to place new countertop, Walter gave us complete service including removal of old countertop, tile and all plumbing connections for new faucet. None of the other contractors we got a quote from were willing to completely finish all the work. They did not include demolition and plumbing connection work. It was very nice to come home and see everything finished in one day. The installation also went very smooth and the quality of work was high. Walter listened and completed all our requests including backsplash installation. all connections and cleaning. I definately recommend Granite Direct.
