 + 0 moreI contacted the company and within 12 hours had a comprehensive quote back via email, including all the informatoin I requested. It was professional & obviously written by a nice person who understands client needs & endeavors to meet them. The quote for the two pieces of glass (11.5 X 30 inches) was $40 each, which was double what two other providers quoted me. While I may not use them for this project, I will gladly call them in the future for competitive bids.

 + -1 moreGlassworks came out to evaluate the job, took measurements and then sent the measurements to the office. After a few days they contacted me with a price for the replacement. I paid for half the job up front and then waited for the window. It took over a week but they called when the window was ready. Due to my schedule we waited an additional week for the install. Glassworks arrived in the specified time period and replaced the window. They were very professional and courteous. No issues with the service at all and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

 + -1 moreMirror on floor-style jewelry chest was broken (received as a gift and was unable to return). Called Glassworks Plus due to close proximity to home - did not receive any other estimates so not sure if the price was competative. It seemed a bit high to me but I was happy they could do the work the same day I called as I did take them the unit to them. They had it complete within the hour which involved removing the back of the unit which was held in by many many little screws, replacing the mirror which was approximately 4 feet by 1 1/2 feet, and putting the back on.

 + -1 moreThe Columbus SWAT Team Took out the windows in my rental. They were really good at it too. So I needed a bunch of new replacement insulated window glass. I called around and received several estimates. I thought I needed a front door too, which I did not, but Glassworks was recommended. They did the estimate and were the lowest. Once the replacement windows arrived, as scheduled, they were installed professionally and we had nothing to clean up. Would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They removed the broken glass and reinstalled new insulated glass in my rental's windows. The installer took all of his trash and glass, there was nothing for the cleaning crew to clean up! Great Job. Would use them again if I had to, but I hope I don't.

 + 1 moreOur initial impression was one of caring people with a human touch, who were sympathetic to the position we were in. That alone endeared them to me. But as we got into the work, the good impression was verified at every turn. They were easy to contact, reliable about keeping appointments and returning calls, the people we worked with were courteous and honest, they took the time to explain things in detail, and when the unit turned out to be defective, they stepped right up to the plate. this in spite of the fact that they do not get reimbursement for their labor charges from the company that delivered the defective door. They absorbed the loss themselves, and I only know this because I asked. I would recommend this company to anybody. They're good people, doing good work.
Description of Work: Our patio door was damaged in the middle of the night, and we needed someone to come as soon as possible to board it up and install a replacement. Unlike some other companies with emergency service, Glass Works Plus answered the call promptly, which was a huge relief in and of itself. We spoke with Ray, who told us that unfortunately they already had a full schedule for the following day. I am a senior living in what formerly was a very nice neighborhood, but is now dangerous. I also have medical problems and was concerned about the house heating up with the patio door gone. And of course with the door missing, not only were we wide open to intruders, but the alarm system was disabled as well. I asked Ray if there was anyone else he could think of who might bail us out. He was very sympathetic to my plight, and asked for an hour or two to in which he would try to get hold of his people and find out if they might be able to juggle the schedule so that he could at least get the door boarded up for me that day. True to his word, he called back not very long after. Someone came out that morning and secured the house. When the new door arrived, we made an appointment for installation. They came on time, did a good job, cleaned up after themselves, and we were very pleased. Later that day, I noticed some condensation between the panes, It turned out that the door they installed had a factory defect. When I called, Ray explained to me how the doors are constructed, and that sometimes there is some initial mist that is absorbed by the desiccant and goes away, so we decided to wait and see if the moisture disappeared. He assured me that the door would be promptly replaced at no charge if in fact, it was defective, and he explained the generous warranty that they provided. The mist disappeared the next day, but unfortunately it came back a day or so later. Once we determined that the door would indeed have to be replaced, he ordered us a new one. When the new door came in, they held it for weeks while patiently waiting for an opening in our schedule. The door was replaced in August, (the delay was on our side, not theirs) and everything went well, just as before.

This time, the service was good but the price seemed rather high. Still, I used this company this time because I used them in the past and I only had one window to replace and I didn't feel like shopping around for estimates. The window was delivered and installed in less than 2 weeks.
Description of Work: They replaced one insulated 7/8" thick clear tempered glass in a window frame measuring 42" x 76" in the foyer of my home.

Unfortunately I was about 20 minutes late to the appointment but the provider stayed and waited for me, saving me from having tot reschedule. He was courteous and professional. The work was completed on time, the glass was good quality and installed correctly. I'll definitely call them again.
Description of Work: My dog sitter had trouble opening my door to care for my dogs and so I told her to break a window to get in. Of course I had to replace the window ASAP.

 + -1 moreI needed to have a broken double-pane window in my home replaced. I was at work when my daughter called from home to tell me about the window, so I looked in the phone book near my home. I called Glassworks Plus, and the gal I spoke with said there was a repairman nearby; she said she'd contact him and have him come to my house next, in order to board up the broken window and measure for a replacement window. By the time I made the half-hour trip from work to home, the man had already been there, cleaned the broken glass away from the window frame, measured, and gone. Just a few minutes after that, Glassworks called me and told me that for security purposes, the repairman would be coming back with a temporary single-pane window rather than just boarding it up. Less than an hour after that, the repairman came back and installed the temporary window, and told me the new double-pane window would be ready in about 10 days. He said they'd call me when it was ready. Exactly ten days later I received the call telling me that my window was ready. I made an appointment for a few days later for the new window to be installed. The repairman arrived within the scheduled time period and the job was done quickly, efficiently, and very neatly; he even took the time to clean the new glass on both sides. I am very impressed with the courtesy, consideration and professionalism of the employees there, and would definitely call upon their services in the future.
