In short, I needed two smallish areas of 2 ceilings replaced due to water damage. The drywall needed to be replaced and the ceiling texture matched so that it did not look like some noob did it. And one of the areas had recessed lighting, so special care was required to get it to look original. The provider contacted me immediately and we set up a time for his inspection. He arrived exactly as we planned and he gave me a very reasonable estimate. He expected the work could be completed in a day, so we arranged a good date early the following Monday. The contractor arrived right on time, took a quick look at the work, and asked me several questions about how I would like the work done. He then set up skirting and splash guards to protect all the things in our living room. I have a big TV near that area, and I was worried about them being careful. I was totally satisfied with their precautions. He checked with me several times during his progress to show me what he was doing and things I should pay attention to. I really appreciated this, since these are problem areas that may need attention in the future. As he completed each section, he checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the results and ready for him to move to the next one. If you have to have someone do work for you, this is the kind of responsiveness you want. This guy was awesome! The work was completed in less than a day, and I was delighted with the results. I have no problem paying for excellent work like this, and the workmanship is outstanding. I would recommend this company to anyone who frets about getting a good contractor! These guys are top-notch, and I think their pricing is quite reasonable. I am completely satisfied.

Everything was smooth from the estimate to the actual work. The crew was early to arrive and promptly got to work. They helped to move furniture to clear a work space. They are true craftsman and take pride in their work. They are quick and thorough. Despite the messy nature of removing the loose plaster and then going about fixing the hole, they were careful to cordon off the work space and didn't leave a trace that they were there. The clean-up was thorough and the finished product was fantastic. One would never know the work was done. Great job all around, I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend this company!!

I used George Neff and Co. prior to this job on my last home. Richard Neff came out the next day after I called to give me an estimate on smoothing my ceilings. He scheduled me in approximately a week later. I remembered Alex from the last job. It took them 2 days to complete. They did the most beautiful job. It was well worth the money. I will always rely on them and highly recommend them.

Richard responded immediately to my call, scheduled an estimate, and was at my home almost within the week to do the work. He and his crew did an excellent job and I felt the price was fair. I am guessing if I would have asked for them to paint as well that could have been an option but I would rather do that myself to keep the cost lower anyhow (so I am glad he didn't automatically push for that to be included). Would hire again without a thought if I ever have any plaster issues again.

Mr Neff, the owner himself who is about 80 years old, came out to assess the problem, pleasantly wrote everything down, then a few days later gave me a very good estimate. Mr. Neff was the most efficient person I have ever had work in our 100 year old house. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mr. Neff and his company. He was trained by his father in the plaster world, and now has passed the trade down to his sons. They were impeccably neat. There was no plaster dust. They were done after 5 hours of non-stop work outside a 45 minute lunch break. We really appreciate how the work has spanned three generations within this family.

The plaster work is gorgeous! Unlike another company who had cut the original holes, the Neff employees had the entire area "walled off" as if it were a separate room...so no dust or grit flying everywhere.

These are real artisans. The stippled ceiling was repaired so that completely blends into the rest of the ceiling. It was fascinating watching Paul do the repair. He set up a protected work space and using a special tool was able to blend in the stipples (?) completely. All I had to do was to let it dry completely and then carefully repaint that part of the ceiling. It is a relief to know that there are these skilled professionals available. Mr. Neff came out and did an estimate. He was courteous, professional, and quick. I was very impressed with his professionalism, and we contracted for the work. The workers came out on the date and time agreed upon, worked quickly, cleanly and pleasantly. The work was perfect - I cannot tell that there was ever damage to the plaster ceiling. They cleaned up throughly, and were courteous and pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend this company, and have no problem understanding why they have been in business since 1917!

Neff has been very busy this summer, so it took them a while to get to our house. But they said they would get to us by September 20th, and they did. Two plaster workers arrived in the morning, a half hour earlier than we expected. They got to work right away. They worked all day and repaired several (five to seven) large cracks in the walls and ceiling. The room looks great, completely transformed. We'll definitely call on Neff when we need to do the next room.

I have a leak in an upstairs bathroom that ruined the ceiling in the lower bathroom. I met with a salesman about the repair and he scheduled the job. Two men showed up to do the work on the day that was planned. The work looked great and I could not tell they had been in the house. If I ever need plaster work done again, I would certainly call them again.

Richard was very prompt in responding to my call for an estimate and helpful in letting me know what to expect. The job was scheduled and completed within a week or two of the estimate, a little faster than I expected, which I appreciated. The craftsmen that completed the repair we only on site for about two hours. There was no sanding, no dust, no mess, no fuss, and a perfectly smooth finish on the wall that would never lead you to believe their was a repair of any kind. The two men knew exactly what they were doing and did an outstanding job. I was very pleased with the job and would not hesitate to recommend Neff Plaster & Stucco to my employer, a friend, or family member. It was well worth the cost.

I live in a house that was built in 1848 and I had some plaster cracks in my closet ceiling, and in several walls. The crack in closet ceiling was the worst and all were repaired very well. They were very good about covering the step to access upstairs and taped plastic over all clothing in closet to protect. Very little clean up when they left, minimal dust on flat surfaces but not bad at all. They did very little sanding as they were skilled enough to get plaster very smooth with trowel without sanding. A little pricey but there are not many artisans that do this type of work. I would highly recommend and would use again if the need arises. The crew was very friendly and very professional. Price was exactly as quoted and they repaired one small additional crack that I noticed after the original quote for no charge. Very happy. Thank you.

The company did an excellent job on the 1998 additon, and that is why I had them do the stucco work on my 2013 room addition. They did an excellent job on matching the color and stucco pattern. The workers were excellent and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone.

The best contractor I've ever hired. They don't say much, but George F. Neff and Company, are on-time, clean, fast and perfect. I wouldn't use anyone else for plastering or drywall.

First encountered George Neff when my landlord hired the company some 24 years ago to repair water damaged plaster walls in a 1925 rental unit. We have used them a number of times for our 1927 half double and as always their work was very well performed. Mr. Neff showed up quickly to determine what needed to be done (the plumber needed to rip out part of the dining room ceiling and it was time to address a number of hairline cracks in the living room ceiling) and provide an estimate. The work itself was done exactly when scheduled and in one day, and they never leave any type of mess. After painting it is not possible to determine where they did such extensive work on these ceilings.

I Contacted the company and Jon came out the next morning and gave me an extimate. Knowing how much plastering jobs cost the estimate was fair. I had cracks in my ceiling and walls from a leaky roof a few years back. He said his father would call me to set up a day to do the job. I waited approx. a week or so and did not hear anything. I called back and he set up a day. They arrived promptly and started the job. The gentleman doing the work was very neat from start to finish. He cleaned up the mess afterward. I am going to have them do my dining room and kitchen next. I hade some concerns Saturday the day after the work was done. I called Jon and left him a message and he promptly returned my call. He answered my questions and concerns. I appreciate the fact that they are a family owned and family run business and not a huge corporation. I would recommend them to anybody. They were very knowledgable of the type of work. Many companies I called were not interested in this small project, but they were accommodating.

They did an excellent job, we painted over the repairs and now you cannot tell where the holes were. We are very pleased and would use the Neff's again.

Mr. Neff was grreat to work with and his team members are true crafstman. The day began at 8 a.m.as requested by me and in one day did all three repairs for which i thought would have taken at least 2 full days. The gentlemen doing the work were true artisans in their craft as they repaired and matched the ceiling texture exactly wiht what was there. you cannot tell where the new plaster and old plaster meet. Excellent Job!!
