Great... they told me what to order... even printed the page on Amazon ... told me it was something they did not carry locally... made my appt when it came to my house... then made an appointment for the quoted price and came back a couple hours later and picked up my finished car. Works just like the ones that came with later models of my car... uses the Toyota standard interface... cost was far below all custom auto accessory and audio stores which wanted $400. This was $100 for the camera kit at Amazon and $130 for the installation at Best Buy. Have used Best Buy for upgraded audio with good results prior... and their 100% service warranty provides peace of mind too...

The gentlemen was extremely nice. He spent a great deal of time making sure the equipment was properly install and the television was in working order. He also made sure that I had a total understanding of how the remotes and mount worked. He did an excellent job.

I bought a MacBook for a family member at Christmas, and the power cord broke. I had also purchased a warranty plan with it for $299.00. Today I went to to get a replacement power cord, and received the worst treatment I have ever received from store employees in my life. First, the customer service representative told me: (1) Those cords never break that fast; my family member must have broken it. (2) It was not Best Buy's responsibility because it is an Apple product; I should go to the Apple store; (3) Best Buy could never give me a new cable because it costs roughly $80; even though the warranty plan was $299.00. I did admittedly use an unfortunate word (frankly, not a terrible word on the hierarchy of bad words) to describe what that last idea was. At that point, a second young man came up to me and scolded me for using that word. After scolding me as if I were a child for a few moments, he told me that if I apologized nicely to the first young man, he would go get me a new power cord immediately. I did apologize, to which the second young man stated "Well that wasn't very sincere." At that point yet a third young man came up, and scolded me further. He told me that in no way could they replace the power cord. However, after a few more moments of "discussion" he informed me that he would order a new one for me that I could get in the future. TL DR; $300 warranty plan, apparently it can't cover an $80 cable. Rude customer service, by 3 men to 1 Mother.

I puchased a new car stereo for my car & scheduled installation. When I arrived for the installation, they were running about 2 hours late because one of their installers had not shown for work. They had quoted about $50 for a new stereo harness & when they finally got ready to install the stereo, they told me the harness would be $200. I refunded the stereo & left.

They were there on time. Products were in great shape. Workers were professional. One problem we had was getting a part we thought we were missing. We tried getting it shipped out but were sent the wrong part. they ultimately cleared things up.

The installation went well. I bought both the iPod dock (powered) to RCA input, and RCA to Honda input devices, and they installed it at the price quoted. They even drilled a hole and had it installed where I wanted the iPod dock cable to come out. Nothing got scratched, and they did not have to disconnect the battery, so none of my radio stations were lost even. The only down side was that some of the lights controlling the air and such seemed to go out, but those came back later. They took the time to find the problem, and were never able to really figure it out, although they found another of the bulbs had blown. The other lights came back on their own, so I can't complain. Everything works great. I did have trouble finding the place (one has to drive around the back, as there is no entrance from the store itself), and in the meantime they started work on another car. They were willing to put that aside and work on my car, since the job was short.
Description of Work: Connected auxiliary input converter for iPod to factory installed radio, allowing a direct-line in for the iPod to play on the car stereo.

We came back later in the afternoon, and had the car stereo installed. They said it would take about an hour. We did some shopping and sure enough, they called and said our car was ready as promised. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about installing the stereo in our car. It sound great and we really enjoy listening to it.
Description of Work: We drove to Best Buy and checked on having a car stereo installed in our car. After talking with the helpful sales person, a stereo was selected. We asked, if we could come back later in the afternoon and have it installed. They said, that would be fine. We were told to be there by, at least 2 hours before they close.

Both my VCR and DVD players died at the same time. I researched replacement units on the Internet and found the one I wanted for the price I was willing to pay. I then looked for the unit on several Web sites and decided to buy from Best Buy. I actually wanted to see the unit in person, so I printed the price from the Web and took it with me to the store. The young man who worked with me was very well informed about the different units and talked to me rather than down to me. I could have been the young man s grandmother and notice that sometimes young men have a tendency to talk to me like I m a dinosaur and don t know anything about technology. I really appreciate it when I m treated like I have a brain! After deciding that the unit I had seen on the Best Buy Web site was actually the unit I wanted to buy, I showed the price I had printed and asked if the store would honor it. It was about $10.00 lower that the store price. He readily gave me the Web price and rang up the sale cheerfully. I love my combo player and the service I received at Best Buy.

When I went to the store and asked what time frame the could schedule me for they checked with the installers and were able to get me right in. This was Sunday at 4:45 p.m. I went to do some other things nearby and within 45 min. the install was finished.
Description of Work: I had an aftermarket radio in my Toyota vehicle that I wanted to replaced with a newer radio with a CD and USB interface. I stopped by the sales desk in the back of the store and saw their price for a standard radio install at $50.00. They added a $5 charge for crimp connectors and was able to schedule and install the unit within about 45 min. The radio worked as it is supposed to and I'm happy. Neither the radio that was in the car, nor the one they installed was purchased at Best Buy. With tax the total was $58 to install the radio. It looks as if their installers have industry certification. My install was relatively simple, although I thought about doing it myself; when I took the panel off the heater, fan, blower outlets, as well as switches were all attached to the panel. It was a bit more than I wanted to mess with, not to mention the need to purchase the connectors and crimping tool if I were to do it myself.

On May 14th I ordered and paid for (using my best buy credit card) a new gas range. The salesman promised delivery and installation on Sat May 19th. The delivery team never called, nor showed up that day. After approximately 10 phone calls I was told that gas appliance installation is never done on Sat. I rescheduled the delivery for May 24th and again no call-no show. I spoke with 2 managers and the salesperson at the store who could not tell me why the range was not delivered. I then received a call from the installation manager "Janice" who informed me that the installation team had come to my house on Sat the 19th and could not install my appliance. After this bald-faced lie I canceled my order. I went to another store and had a new range installed less than 2 days later ON SUNDAY!
Description of Work: On May 14th I ordered and paid for (using my Best Buy credit card) a new gas range and also paid extra for installation of a gas appliance.

The salesperson was very helpful and not pushy. He offered good advice on which appliances to choose for our situation. We felt very comfortable with our selection. They had to order our request, but were able to schedule a delivery within about a week. Delivery was on-time and very fast. They also removed the existing non-working appliances without any problems.

Well...the initial purchase went fine..then the unit failed. Returned at 3 weeks, returns desk talked us into a replacement, went home, and....1 week later the 2nd air cleaner failed. Returned asking for a refund. Refund was refused, due to original purchase taking place over 30 days ago. Asked to speak to a Manager, and was sent to a teenager who was "Team Leader" of Audio/Video department. Returns folks and "Team Leader" reinforced how they're just cogs in the Best Buy machine and " At Best" they can offer is store credit. Got the credit, used it for Birthday gifts, and vowed never to fool with these guys for an appliance purchase again.

$25 UPFRONT FEE TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEM, WHICH IS THEN APPLIED TO COST OF REPAIR. THEY NEVER CALLED ME WITH AN ESTIMATE OF CHARGES AFTER THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM, SO THEY DIDNT CHARGE ME ANY MORE (IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER $50). ALSO REMOVED A TAPE FROM A BROKEN VCR, AND ADVISED THE COST TO REPAIR THE VCR IS MORE THAN A NEW ONE COSTS. ANDREW DID A GREAT JOB FOR US!
