The overall experience was great! The technician was very professional and arrived when expected. The technician actually remembered me and my house since he was the same one who did the furnace tune-up last fall. He was very frank and honest about the system. He noted that it was fully operational and didn't need any additional work beyond his services for that day. However, he let me know that the motor of the condensing unit has most likely one season left before it needed to be replaced. This explained why the unit was tripping the breaker last last summer. When the time comes to replace the unit. This will be the company that I call first. I have been very pleased each time they are at my house. Their honesty and frankness is very appreciated; I was even more impressed that I was remembered. I love this company; I feel that I can't say enough about them.

This was the first time we used Fire & Ice for any service. We were quite pleased with the result. The service tech inspected our A/C unit and confirmed that it was functioning properly, after 10 years of use.We intend to use them in the future for our Trane heating and cooling needs.

Technician Kelly was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. There was a slight problem with some wiring that I noticed after the tech left. I made a phone call and the technician returned within the hour to correct. I felt she was extremely honest, did not try to oversell anything. I would definitely use this company again.

Because of the heat, they were understandably backed up. I was going out of town, so I was unable to schedule for someone to come out to give me an estimate until a week later. I did schedule that, but I found someone who could install an air conditioner and furnace on the same day that they were coming out to just give me an estimate, so I had to go with that company. Since I was leaving on vacation, I thought if I called the answering service, they could get the message to them to cancel my appointment. It worked very well when I called originally. The day after I returned, I had the other company out to install, and the person showed up to give me an estimate. My only complaint was that she said to me, "I guess you didn't bother to cancel". I understand that she was probably frustrated, but I thought that was rude, and I did try to cancel my appointment.

I was happy with their services. I would give them an A across the board.

Kelly did a great job. I've only owned the house for about 6 months and really needed to get a handle on the status of the mechanicals and get on a regular maintenance schedule. She thoroughly cleaned and tested everything, inside and outside. She also explained what she was doing and why and taught me a lot about my unit, how it worked and how to keep it running smoothly in order to maximize lifespan. She even gave me tips on what kind of furnace filters to buy. (hint: not the most expensive ones). After Kelly's careful attention today, my A/C unit looks almost new! And since I purchased a service contract for twice a year heating and cooling maintenance plus priority status for emergency calls, she credited the cost of this coupon against the contract price! And of course I requested Kelly as my preferred technician for service calls.

The technician was very friendly and thorough. He went completely over the air conditioner, including removing the case surrounding the condenser unit and cleaning the coils. It runs great!!

They came when they said they would and installed the air conditioner as we had agreed.

I watched as Kelly performed the various system checks as listed in the Angie's LIst ad. Kelly provided a running commentary as she progressed through the tune-up. I really appreciated this information as I desired to have better knowledge regarding my AC. In addition Kelly answered various questions that surfaced as I observed her working. I was impressed with the technical knowledge that Kelly exhibited -- in explanations and in the quality of service she performed. Kelly could have completed the job more quickly had she not provided so much information as she worked. She accommodated my needs in a very customer-friendly manner. I had anticipated that my unit needed a small amount of freon. The charge for that was competitive with the market checks I had made., Before concluding I'm pleased to comment that Kelly is a woman. Over years of AC checks I've never experienced as much satisfaction with the service performed as I did with Kelly.

It had been years since I had anything done to my air conditioner, so I signed up the 17-Point Air Conditioner Tune-Up via the Angie’s List “Big deal”.Kelly from Fire & Ice was terrific. She came on time and did a thorough inspection inside and out. Any problem areas she explained and also added some helpful advice on how to get the most out of my thermostat settings.A very good experience and I would recommend them for furnace and air conditioner needs.

We had a female attendant and she was very informative. We had a great experience with this company.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! We were having trouble with our air conditioner so after consulting Angie's List we decided to call fire and ice. the women i talked to was friendly and helpful. She set up the appointment with Kelly at my convenience. Kelly showed up on time but that is all the good I have to say about her. She was incredibly overbearing and rude. we asked her to look at the furnace also while she was here and she agreed. she took out the old filter, threw it on the floor and left it there. She told us the heat exchange was clogged and it was creating carbon monoxide and was extremely dangerous and needed fixed immediately. We took her for her word and moved on. After checking the a/c she told us that needed replaced also. (that part we expected, thats why we called in the first place). She then looked at our thermostat and said the wires behind it were really short and seemed frustrated that she had to mess with them to do what she needed to do. She left dirty fingerprints all over the thermostat and wall around it. she didn't bother to wipe her feet when coming in from outside either. We told her we didn't want to schedule any work at that time and she left. Now, my husbands company is transferring him and will be buying our home so they sent out an inspector. He checked the furnace and guess what, it is impossible for a heat exchange to be clogged. (we have now been told this by 2 other hvac professionals). The heat exchange is cracked and It is NOT creating unsafe levels of carbon monoxide. The furnace does need to be replaced so the outcome would have been the same, but the information Kelly gave us was inaccurate. Not to mention scary thinking our home is full of carbon monoxide. We also found out that she turned off our furnace so we couldn't use it at all even if we wanted to. She did not ask or even inform us that she was doing that. She also dislocated some wires in the thermostat when she was messing with them. We are very glad the inspector was here to fix all her screw ups. Not sure how this company got a good rating but Angie's List really dropped the ball on this one. Horrible experience!!!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

Our air conditioner stopped working and we didn't know why. Called Fire and Ice on Monday and they called be back within a few hours. Since the unit wasn't working they were able to have someone come out that Thursday. Terry arrived during the promised time and made sure not to track any dirt into our home by putting on the shoe covers. He looked at all the areas and found that our freon had flipped (we know know to check that before calling anyone). He did a full testing on the unit to see if anything else was wrong and gave us suggestions on what we could do to make it run better. He found that the freon was low and told me how much it would cost to add the amount we would need. Figured since he was already there and had the stuff to have him add the freon. Great service. Will definitely use again.

Such a wonderful overall experience from start to finish! Cannot sing praises of this company enough! Within 1 week of purchase of online special they were out to our home! Dawn in the office was so friendly to speak with and set up appointment! Terry our technician was so prompt and knowledgeable! He explained everything he was doing to my husband, and explained it so well that my husband then taught me! Huge points for Terry! They didn't try to sell us anything extra and were so honest which is majorally appreciated by my family! From here on out they have our loyalty and recommendation to anyone that asks! Thank you so much for a great experience start to finish!

We had our A/C tuned-up prior to the summer months. Kelly came out to do this job, and she was very professional. I liked that she used covers for her shoes when she had to come into our home. She explained what she did and gave us some tips for things we could do for the A/C unit. I would definitely use Fire & Ice again.

Kelly did a very thorough assessment of the furnace and outdoor AC unit. She worked diligently. She was very thorough in both what she evaluated and in discussing the results of the testing and visual inspection done. The knowledge she demonstrates frankly exceeds the majority of HVAC service visits I've had done over the years. And, if there are guys out there thinking that a woman doesn't have the skill, knowledge, and temperament for HVAC work, think again. She runs rings around most guys I've had checking my heat and AC.

Turned our air conditioner on for the first time this spring and it didn't work!!! You know that feeling? Well, we called Fire and Ice because they came out last fall to service our furnace. The came out the next day and within minutes the vents were delivering cool air. Turns out a bunch of lady bugs decided to attack the outside unit and blocked a switch. Now, I could have been told that it required a costly and lengthly repair but nooooo, they were honest and I even now have them scheduled to come out and do our spring check-up.

Prompt courteous service. Provided what was advertised. Offered additional services requested by consumer.

Overall, the experience was great. The technician really went above and beyond for me; He actually solved a small issue that I’ve had with the thermostat that other companies looked into, but never were able to fix. I would definitely use their services again, since he was honest and only did what needed to be done without doing more work than needed. I’d definitely use their service again!

I was very happy with the service and do plan on using them again in the future. Very minor delay in getting back with me. However, they were great after.

Overall they told me that they'd permit which is necessary in Ohio but they never did. They never had an inspector come out. It ended up that they had CO backdrafting from the gas water heater. I found this out when I had an energy audit and now had to hire someone else to come fix it.
