The furnace is over 30 years old and I get it tuned yearly. The heat pump is 16 years old, so my equipment is far from new. Kelley was the service person and she is great. She checked the furnace and air humidifying system, changed the filters and checked the compression, among other things. She told me the compression on the heat pump was fine, and that a spring tune-up for that equipment would be more effective since the air conditioning is dependent on it. She mentioned a year-round package that Fire & Ice sells that would include both fall and spring services for about the same as I'd been paying another local company for one visit. I appreciated the information. The price was a nice surprise because I had been using the other company who always charged a much higher price, didn't provide such complete information, and always tried to tell me my equipment was too old to be reliable. Nice work - I'll tell my neighbors about them!

The service person arrived on time, prepared with the proper tools and efficiently completed the work in less than an hour. He then took time to explain the things he had done and what he recommended, all in terms I could understand, without talking down to me.

It went well. It was the first time I had used them. They did a good job and got it done quickly. He said our ignitor needed to be replaced but he showed me how to replace it myself for cheaper which I did.

The Fire and Ice technicians were prompt, professional, and did a great job. They worked very diligently in installing the furnace and pipes. They had to remove a huge oil furnace. The entire job took two days to complete, and the technicians worked all day. The gas furnace functions wonderfully. I would hire them again.

My service person was named Kelly. She was absolutely wonderful. On time, knowledgeable, professional, helpful, personable, and informative. She took the time to explain the results of every aspect of the tune-up and answered all of my questions in a non deeming manner. I just called Fire and Ice to compliment them on hiring one of the 3 women HVAC techs in the city. I felt comfortable having her in my home and most appreciative of the manner in which she performed her work. I will definitely use this company in the future and will request Kelly.

I bought the Big Deal through Angie's list so the Fall furnace check was at a reduced rate. Overall I was very happy with the work. The woman was friendly and seemed to be very thorough. Our furnace was in good shape so the inspection didn't take long and she explained what she had done afterwards . My only complaint is that I had an appointment scheduled a couple of weeks out, and about half an hour before the appointment they called to say they would have to reschedule. We rescheduled for a couple of weeks later when it was convenient for me, and then the appointment time came and went. About 20 minutes after they were supposed to be here I called and the receptionist said she would call the person who was coming and if I didn't hear from her within a half hour to call back again. Well, in that time she did arrive. She was maybe 45 minutes late with no apology. Luckily I am a stay at home mom so it wasn't too burdensome to be flexible for them.

The service was fine, it appeared they had a better deal than the normal company I go with, but it was about the same service that I would have gotten, it was no better or no worse than the other company. I didn't have any disappointment from this deal.

This deal went very well. They were very knowledgeable and professional, and were able to take care of the tune-up.

great question under the circumstances - went to the home inprovement show - we needed to replace 2 units - didn't know much about doing this project - stopped by Fire & Ice for a price -they gave a price to my wife -said we could get a better price by joining Angie's List - we did I spoke to the people about coming over and explaining the process and quote with me - we set an appointment - they never showed up - I called left a message - - now how about a reply from Angei's List

Serviceman was on time. Took just a few minutes to look at my furnace -- guess he inspected 17 points, not sure what all it entailed. Told me I'd need a new furnace soon. I already knew that. I wish I had checked into the service more to find out what good this inspection was and if it was necessary. My furnace is running fine, though far from new. Maybe this is what the service is supposed to be, but I feel it cost too much. I will not buy this service again. I paid to learn that this service isn't necessary, a $59.00 lesson. Guess this is partly my own fault for not knowing my furnace "up close and personal."

I bought a Big Deal for normal seasonal tuning of my A/C -furnace for $79 (I think). I had recently moved into the house, and suddenly the A/C wasn't working anymore. So I called Fire and Ice to see if I could use the Big Deal to see what the problem was. They said no problem, but they warned me ahead of time that the problem would probably cost more than $79. It turns out that a squirrel or chipmunk chewed through some wires to a small part in the outdoor A/C unit. The technician was a very nice experienced woman who fixed the part with no trouble. The final cost was $134, so I paid the extra $55, and my A/C has had no issues since. I would highly recommend Fire and Ice, and I really loved the technician. I wish I could remember her name.

They were on time. The workers were friendly and enthusiastic. The entire company is very upbeat and they did what they stated they would do. They are also very reliable.

Kelly arrived on time, was very personable, and completed the work quickly. She went over her findings thoroughly. She did a great job (to the point that we purchased a maintenance contract with Fire & Ice).

I responded to an Angie's List advertisement for services by Fire and Ice. I had not used them before. The woman who came out, Kelly, was professional, informative, and did all the work promised by the offer. I will definitely use this company again.

The service representative was knowledgable and helpful. He performed tests on my furnace to ensure it was in proper working order and that there were no leaks or repairs needed. He covered his shoes prior to entering my home, which was a nice detail.

Used Angie's List deal. The appointment was scheduled for the same day and they called me to schedule. What service!!!! The technician was friendly and professional and explained everything to us. We do need some additional work done, which we will use this company to do. We have a 20-year old furnace, so I expected there to be something needed.
