They did not have the material needed to fix the issue and said they would call and reschedule. They have not called and it's been a few days since the initial appt. I'm not sure we will continue with this provider as we will get a 2nd opinion and go from there.

They checked out my furnace and everything was fine. My furnace worked fine all winter and I didn't have any problems.

It went fine and there wasn't anything really bad or anything really good. They were fine.

They did a great job. They were professional and on time. He checked everything that he could and cleaned the coils outside.

They inspected the furnace and talked to her about the pros and cons about the current furnace she has. They were very informative. They came when they were supposed to and did the work.

Excellent. The salesman, Roger, was knowledgeable, friendly & professional. No hard sale tactics. Reviewed the equipment to be installed. The company was able to install the next day and came to the home at the time specified. The two installers were friendly, hard working and took care to place drop cloths in the house to protect the floor. At the completion of the install the installers sat reviewed the work done, the operation of the equipment & the warranty, company contact number, etc. The next day the salesperson came to our home to inspect the job & to ask if there were any questions or problems. He added he would contact the city of columbus to schedule a convenient time for the city inspector to review the installation.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They were great and they did a great job. It was fine. They did the job and they did it well.

When I had my furnace installed I financed it through the company suggested by Fire and Ice. This was a 36 month deferred interest account. I made more than the minimum payments and had the furnace paid off in 2 years. Interest was showing every month on my statement but I figured once the principle was paid off the interest would then drop off the account. However, when I checked my account online there was still a balance of over $1700. I contacted the finance company and was told they would check on it. I received a letter saying they could not help me and that I needed to contact the vendor. I did contact Fire and Ice and after investigating the reason for this I was informed that a mistake had been made on their part on the original paperwork. Then they stated that they would take care of the over $1700 since it was their mistake (by an employee who no longer works for them). I knew Fire and Ice was a superior company but this just increased my opinion of them even further. Another company might have made excuses or tried to get out of the obligation but they stood tall and admitted it was their fault AND took care of the remaining balance. As you can see above the furnace was $3875 installed. The interest was almost half that amount. This company has probably not made any profit from my furnace but they did the right thing. You cannot find a better, more responsible company than Fire and Ice.

I scheduled for someone to come out and take a look at my heat pump for 5/23/2013 between 2pm and 4pm. I took time off work to make myself available. After 4pm came and went, I called and the person I spoke to said they forgot to contact me and let me know that the technician would be late. She told me that the technician would in fact be 30-45 min late. I cancelled the call and will NOT be using this company now or in the future. I understand people running behind. But not notifying a potential customer about the time issue and then sounding nonchalant about it when you bring the issue up will insure that they will not get my business, now or ever.

It went very well but the air filter was not changed and/or cleaned. But overall I was satisfied.

AWESOME! Terry was wonderful... very thorough and best of all entertained my incessant questions about furnaces and other home improvement topics. He was very considerate of dust and dirt and did a great job of cleaning up after himself. I will definitely be using them again for future services.

Worker was prompt and courteous. She completed the work quickly, offering some tips on how to maintain our air-conditioner between service appointments.

It started out poorly in that the tech arrived at my house 20 minutes later than the 2 hour time window. It actually took me calling Fire and Ice to confirm that someone was coming. Honestly, not a huge deal for us since my wife was home the whole time. The service went pretty well. The tech obviously had experience and was happy to walk me through what he was doing and his opinions on my unit and likely remaining useful life. He also gave me tips on how to do small things to maintain the unit between larger tune ups. That was greatly appreciated. Lastly, what made be give an A is the fact that: He did the job he was supposed to do, and then after I had written a check he noticed that the seal to the inside of my house from the A/C unit was letting in air. He went to his truck and sealed the hole as well as wrapped the return pipes with insulation. The fact that this company cares enough to continue to do little things after the service is paid for is the reason I will call them from now on.

The estimate for this total HVAC replacement was the most thorough we got from any vendor. The representative looked carefully at all the space, took measurements, asked questions about our heating and cooling requirements, and showed me the options which were appropriate for our home. There was no attempt to up-sell me, and we settled on the least expensive option. When we had a question a week later, another representative came out, checked the space and double-checked the measurements, and was able to reassure us that the model we had chosen would indeed fit and not be a problem installation. The installers arrived on time (in the middle of a snowstorm!) and spent the day removing the old system and installing the new one. They were professional and neat, leaving our home in great shape. They explained how to operate everything from the new thermostat to the humidifier, and were patient with our questions. My experiences with everyone at Fire & Ice have been positive. It's hard to find customer service this good, and we are very satisfied with our choice.

Technician arrived on time, wore booties over his boots to protect my floors, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took his time, and did a thorough job. He also advised me of an upcoming change to EPA regulations which would require a more expensive furnace after May 1, 2013, should we want to replace our existing system. Our system was working well, but was also 25 years old and would certainly need to be replaced in the next few years. There was absolutely no pressure or hard-sell, just a clear explanation of what would be required after May 1st.

The rep was punctual and the presentation was good. Was one of 5 estimates we received. They were the only one to recommend we stay with a heat pump as opposed to switching to an AC unit, which was our ultimate decision. They also were much higher on total estimate, as well as individual options such as air filters, and humidifiers.

Punctual and professional, they were the only company that actually performed a load calculation to determine the proper size units. They arrived in the morning at the scheduled time, performed all the work, and left us with a functioning furnace and A/C by supper time. No surprises.

Receive 3 different estimates. This company was the most helpful and priced most competitive. ,The other 2 well known companies were not nearly as competitive, One quoted pricing on comparative units and offered a price $1,000 more than Fire & Ice.They came back that night with a much better price after I told them I was taking estimates which told me they were trying to take advantage of me. The other spent very little time and didn't really seam interested in discussing options while at at home . No such problem with Fire & Ice as they quoted a good price from the start and were the most helpful when discussing various options. Im very happy with my choice as they were timely, professional and have stopped back to insure all work was done properly.
