This was their third visit to my house in a month, for the third blown part on my 15 year old furnace. They were responsive and professional each time. Brad was an excellent service provider and consultant as I started to think that a new furnace was the way to go. Roger came out to discuss my options and couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. I felt informed and never felt pushed. They came out the next day and Will and his partner (can't remember his name) couldn't have been more nice, polite, respectful and professional. They did an excellent job, helped me understand the work being done, made sure I understood everything before they left and left the place spotless. This is a gem of a company, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. Everything was fine. I wish I could see what work was done. They came up and said it was all done but there wasn't an explanation of what happened. It was fine, I don't recall it being excellent.

I appreciated the communication. At the beginning of the time window I received a call to give me a better idea within the window to expect. The servicer was very polite, thorough and patient with all my questions. Would definitely recommend this company.

The tune-up went well, and we signed up for a service contract as a result. Fire & Ice was very professional and punctual, and we have continued to use them for all of our HVAC services.

Install job was performed successfully and the A/C works much better now that we have a new (more efficient) system. My only complaint with this company is a lack of communication with their client. I was told they would need to move my water heater in order to install new A/C system and that they have the knowledge and experience to do this work. When the guys were at my house to do the work, one of the techs called and informed me they are not plumbers and don't move water heaters. He was going to call his boss and I never heard back from him. I called the office and they didn't know who was at my house doing the install. Over an hour later, I finally was able to get ahold of someone and they were in the process of moving the water heater. They were also supposed to run the condensation line to an indoor drain and instead ran it outside the house. This was a simple fix, but it required another phone call to the company and a tech to come back out to my house. They also charged me the wrong amount, and now after two more phone calls they have not yet fixed the issue. I will have to call them yet again, which I am getting tired of doing. The quality of work is solid and their prices were very competitive with several other reputable firms. I would only suggest if you use this company that you make sure they understand exactly what functions are going to be performed and you double check with the techs and service managers before the install date that they aware of what is to performed, they are qualified to perform such tasks, and everyone understands the costs involved.

I was very happy. I called and explained the problem. They were able to get someone over to fix it that morning. They called to let me know when they were coming, explained what was wrong, & offered options to fix it. The service repairman, , was very nice and explained everything. I was very pleased & will be happy to use them again.

Impressed from the start...called on Monday morning, phone was answered right away and an appointment set for the next morning. Technician showed up as scheduled and did an amazingly thorough check of the entire system, double/triple checking to be sure the issue was exactly what he was saying it was. He even checked our humidifier and replaced the filter for us. He was very polite and answered all of my questions. The replacement part was ordered and I did not expect it to be installed until Thursday. Received a call Wednesday morning saying they could be out in the next hour to install the part!! Upon installation of the part, the technician still encountered some issues, he called an rep from the furnace company which led to his finding debris in the intake pipe. He cleaned it out, put a new cover on the vent outside and all was well. He was fantastic...I will ask for him specifically if the need for HVAC work arises in the future.

They did a good job and we ended up buying a new furnice from them.

Actually arrived early since the technician was in the area. She was professional, straight-forward and easy to talk to. Let me know exactly what she was doing at every step and answered all questions.

The quote involved a thorough walk-through of the house, measurements, and calculations to determine the proper size replacement central air conditioner to replace the one that came with the house 25 years ago. We discussed the various models and their relative efficiencies, and whether a heat pump might make sense for us (it didn't). They helped us find the right system for us, even after being given the opportunity to sell us something more expensive. The installation went well, with them arriving when they had scheduled. However, the work took significantly longer than they had estimated. Still, it was completed the same day it was started. My wife was home when they did the installation, so I didn't have a change to inspect their work until I got home from my work. I found that they had done a poor job of sealing the areas where the new sheet metal met the old on top of the furnace. I sent them an email about it and they sent the installer back the next day to fix it. When I got home that night and inspected the re-work, I found that there was still one air leak left unplugged and just took care of it myself. The system seems to be working fine, but they day they installed it the outside temperature dropped 20 degrees and it hasn't been all that warm since, so I guess next season will be the real test.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. The work was done fairly quick following the time that I called them. I was very impressed with them and thought they did a very nice job. I liked the fact that they came out, went through it and took me through what the service representative had done while showing me areas that I needed to take care of myself. I thought he was very professional and the price was as advertised. The serviceman was on time for our appointment.

They diagnosed the problem, gave us the exact cost. Once we Ok the process, they started working and got done and left..

They sent out a rep to discuss my needs, and installed a more powerful Trane unit for less money than any other quote I had received from other companies. It was a clean installation and they were back a week later to assure that I was satisfied.

I used the Angie's List tune-up for $79 on my new home's old air conditioner. Even though, I was given short notice that the did not get the technician that I had requested (Kelly, who was fantastic inspecting my previous home's furnace last fall) was not able to come. The technician that I got was prompt at the original time scheduled. He did a thorough inspection & cleaning of the old A/C unit, assessed that it is basically working properly, but warned that anything could happen at any time (consistent with the home inspector said). I appreciate the honestly and lack of a hard sales pitch on a new unit. Unfortunately, I have heard that ABC Home warranty currently does not use Fire & Ice as a vendor or else it would be a perfect world in my new home. Would definitely recommend Fire & Ice as a trustworthy and reputable for furnace & A/C needs.

The service was good. They came out a couple of days after I bought the deal and there were no additional charges other than that. There was nothing about them that stood out whether good or bad.

Provider arrived on time, worked on my furnace which is located in a crawl space. Provider gave detailed report of findings.

The technician was prompt and the price was great. I was left feeling unsure about the quality of the inspection though. Once the tech arrived and was directed to the AC unit outside, he was done within 10 minutes. He packed up and handed me the receipt for service. Instead of explaining the service in any detail, he just said it looked ok and left. It felt like perhaps, so many discount AC inspections were sold, the time and quality was not priority.

We have been living in our home for more than 18 years, however the air conditioner was the original unit which made it about 28 years old and the furnace was about 12 years old having replaced the old unit shortly after we moved in because it was not heating the far side of the house where the kids' rooms are located. And while both units were still running fine, we felt it was time to switch to higher efficiency units, not only because we didn't want to get stuck if one of the units failed on a really hot summer's day or a really cold winter's night, we wanted to take advantage of the hundreds of dollars of rebates available in addition to the savings in our utility bills which would pay for the units in just a few years. It seemed like a good time since we were also refinishing our basement. We met with three companies and even though we initially were only planning to replace the air conditioner, each of them confirmed that it would be more efficient to go ahead and replace the old furnace at the same time. While all three companies were polite and professional, we chose to do business with a salesman named Roger from Fire and Ice Heating and Air Conditioning because he took the time to make sure we understood all the different units available and how much each would save and how much each would cost to install. In the end, he also gave us the best price. When the crew arrived to install the units, they were quiet, clean and efficient. And though it took about 10 hours to install the units, we hardly noticed they were there because they took great care to keep the noise levels down and to stay out of our way. A gentleman named Will was in charge of this installation. He was very nice. A week after the installation, our salesman, Roger, came back to do a walk-through to make sure everything was installed and running properly. We highly recommend this company to others needing to replace their furnace, air conditioner...or both. Great job, Fire and Ice!

Sales agent did a thorough job of assessing our needs. She reviewed square footage, ductwork, etc. Her recommendations were good although not sure we needed a dual powered AC unit in our climate. In the end their price was simply way too high for comparable units from other vendors. Their price was about 35% higher. We have used them for service in the past and found them to be great. Just too high on pricing.

The technician is very helpful and friendly to help me understanding the basic maintenance of the A/C. Help me to clean the A/C unit outside the house and ensure the equipment is in good condition.
