It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went well. He checked it out and let me know that the air conditioner was properly functioning. He was a nice, regular guy. There weren't any parts replaced and there was nothing to fix. He did a good job. There were no additional charges. They came out within a reasonable time frame.

Terry was great, personable, punctual and very competent. I would definitely recommend.

Kelly was very courteous and finished the job in a couple hours. She had valuable insight on where I should have the humidifier installed. She made sure to also keep my floors clean by wearing booties over her shoes. Humidifier works great!

I originally called 1/25/2014 because my furnace had stopped working at 11:30 at night. I then cancelled because I had gotten ahold of some space heaters. The technician,Terry, still called me. He was very helpful and knowlegable. He told me to reset the breaker to my furnace and it worked. After about 3 hours it stopped working so I tried it again and it worked for about 2 hours. It went out again and reseting the breaker wasn't working anymore. I was grateful for the 5 hours of heat his knowledge gave me. I limped along with space heaters for a couple of days and called for a service call. The technician that came to my house was none other than Terry. He got my furnace up and running without needing parts (which saved me some money). He was thorough, VERY KNOWLEGABLE, and explained everything in laymans terms that I could understand. It also didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I own a double so I am using this company and requesting Terry to come out and look at the other furnace. Also because he adjusted the gas pressure on my furnace my rooms are warmer and getting more heat to them! In the near future I will be replacing the heating and air conditioning units to both units and because of Terry's knowledge and input I will be using Fire & Ice to do the job. Thank you for having a stellar employee like Terry!

It was a good experience and I would use them again. One technician came out to do the work and he was on time for the appointment. They were able to come out to my home shortly after I had purchased the big deal.

Tech cleaned the flame sensor. After the tech left the unit acted-up again, and so the tech returned. Turns out he accidentally knocked the wire loose from the gas control valve, which caused the same problem as when the sensor was dirty (could not detect a flame when the unit was running). I don't blame him for knocking the wire loose- tight location. But was impressed that he didn't use it as an opportunity to charge me for something unnecessary (other companies have).

They're actually here today finishing up doing what I hired them for. My experience with them so far has been great. They were responsive. The price is good and they're doing the work. They're doing a good job, they're doing what I asked them to do.

I am very pleased with there response. My furnace stooped working in the middle of the night when the temperature started going into the negative. I called them first thing in the morning and they were able to come out the same day within 3 hours. They expected trouble in the weather and adjusted there schedules to compensate. We just purchased the house last year and we knew the unit is to small for the size of the house. We just started pricing for a replacement so we could be ready for spring when the furnace apparently got upset. The tech found some problems and didn't want to charge for expensive repairs if we were planning on replacing it, so he re-cleaned the unit and schedule for a sales women to come out to the house and inspect for a replacement. They did a through job and suggested some good ideas for energy savings in the summer. The sales person noticed the newly replace wood vent covers and told me to remove them. She told me that this could be causing the over heating issue on my older unit by restricted to air flow. Last night it reached -18 degrees and the unit worked thru the night. I got the price on a replaced unit with air conditioning and was given the tips to help keep my unit going unit I am ready to replace it.

It went very well. The system was in and working perfectly within 48 hours of the initial appointment.

They did a good job and showed up on time. The sales rep was very thorough and provided lots of useful information to help us make the best decision.

They had to order a fan motor which took a few days. When they received the motor they arranged for installation and installed it. They did a good and quick job to get the AC unit working again. I would use them in the future if needed.

The representative (Roger), from Fire & Ice was impressive. He arrived on-time and was very courteous. He provided us with an overview of the company, a detailed explanation of the products that Fire & Ice installs and helped us determine which unit would be right for our new home. He did not rush and promptly returned my calls when he said he would for matters that required follow-up. Although we chose not to go with Fire & Ice for our HVAC installation, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend, family member or anyone in need of HVAC services.

Fire & Ice replaced furnace and a/c unit in April 2011. They recently had to replace the defective thermostat with another type due to high humidity levels in summer and sporadic functioning over past few weeks. New thermostat installed quickly but was more complex to program. Technician came out after my attempt to program & a/c came on to reset thermostat. Was promised a quote for new thermostat taking warranty into account by next day. Have not received quote 2 days later. Overall company is responsive and must say they were superb at installation if new units-all old materials removed, very clean and professional.

Fire & Ice were on top of it! They were responsive an scheduled us promptly. The tech was punctual & very professional. He gave us some good tips to use in the future to maintain our AC unit. I would DEFINATELY consider using them again.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. They were very prompt, very informative. They were very good about informing about the process, what they were going to do and then showing me what they were finding after they were working through the cleaning. Very clean and prompt.

I signed up for the yearly maintenance package. Kelly was my tech and she came out to my new house that i just moved into three days ago. I decided to try Fire & Ice since they were able to fit me in to their schedule on short notice. I was on maintenance package with a different company and Fire & Ice was so much better as they performed tests that the other company did not. Kelly was great and Fire & Ice earned a long-term customer with the job that she did.

On Nov 5, I came home from work and the house seemed cooler than usual. It was cold outside but not frigid. I turned the thermostat up but the furnace would not kick in. The temperature in the house was 66. I called the furnace and air conditioning service provider (one of the top 3 on Angie's List). I had been a customer for 12 years. A service person came out the next day (Nov 6). I was not impressed with the professionalism of the service person. However, he tried several things and could not get the furnace to kick in. My furnace was 23 years old (a Lennox Pulse) and had worked well over the years. However, further repairs would cost an estimated $500 and there was no guarantee that the furnace would be fixed or how long it would last. I decided a new furnace and air conditioner (also 23 years old) was needed. I took off a day from work. By Nov 7, the temperature in the house was 64. I asked for bids from the top 3 rated A list providers on Angie's List. Roger from Fire and Ice was first. I had never heard of the company before. The presentation was very professional. He recommended various Trane components. The other 2 providers were Lennox dealers. My former service provider was last and had the least professional presentation. He was unwilling to price out components without regard to various rebates available. I spent time discussing the options with my wife. One of the factors was how long it would take to replace the furnace and air conditioner. I finally decided to go with the Trane if I could get prompt installation. The Lennox dealers said either the next week or maybe Saturday (Nov 9). The price was about $500 different between the 3 estimates with Fire and Ice being in the middle. The Trane was slightly more efficient than the Lennox. I called Roger from Fire and Ice at 8:30 P.M.Roger was the only estimator who left his cell phone. I asked Roger that if I went with Fire and Ice, could the furnace be installed the next day (in 12 hours). He said he would call me right back. He did and said installation could start by 8:30 the next morning (less than 12 hours). We agreed on the components and the price. Fire and Ice gave me the rebates but collected them from AEP and Columbia Gas. We had heat by 2:45 the next day. Service was great and the installers were very professional.

Fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time I called to confirm. I was then informed that the tech was stuck at a job site and would not be able to make it until potentially 2 hours later but that he would call to reschedule. I was already at the job site which wasted an hour of travel time for me. They never called to reschedule for an estimate.
