Very nice technician. They always wear shoe covers. Went smoothly and quickly. They are very persistent about customer service and will contact and contact you until you schedule what needs to be done! (I appreciate this; I often forget to return their calls!)

They did a 22 point inspection of my Trane system. They also cleaned the compressor outside. They were very thorough. The scheduling process was also very simple. I bought the Angie's List Big Deal in March. They did the work in April as they wanted it to be warmer outside so that they could test the cooling level. I was very pleased with the experience.

It was fine. He was helpful, informative and professional.

He arrived on time and went right to work. As he worked he answered all of my questions and was cordial and polite. Before he left I had a question about the filter on my furnace humidifier and he showed me where it was located and how to change it. He told me the number on the filter and said where I could buy it. He explained that while my AC unit was getting old, it was still in working order, but was working hard to cool the house. He didn't try to sell me anything, but when I asked he told me the range of the cost to purchase one to fit my needs. This is the second time I have used this company and was completely satisfied both times.

All went very well. Terry provided me with a great deal of good information about the workings of the furnace and air conditioner. He cleaned the AC coil and ran a test on it. Terry was very professional and let me know what I can expect of the furnace and AC in terms of longevity.

Fire and Ice was great and the reason we went with them was because Maggie was wonderful from start to finish. She was here for a couple hours and was thorough. She was genuinely engaged with us. They had great customer service and if we had any questions they were great with providing the information and we felt we learned a lot and received an education. It was three months from when they provided the estimate to when we decided to go with them and I appreciated they weren't pushy. They also offered low cost financing on the highest efficiency models we purchased. The installation went very well and they brought the placement of the intake-outtake vents up to code. Another provider came to the house and provided an estimate but didn't provide the estimate for a couple weeks and it wasn't as thourough and spelled out as Fire and Ice's. We signed up for the annual maintenance with Fire and Ice and the first year of maintenance was included with the purchase of the new units. The same technicians have come out for this maintenance and have been on-time, friendly, have called ahead of time, worn shoe covers and been good at explaining things. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Estimate done when promised, lasted 2 hours (longest of 5 estimates). Nice process, very professional company. Only company to want an extra $500 to redo my AC connection. Uses Trane. Estimate of $6310 was second highest of 5 (range, $4210-$6579), included humidifier, new air intake, Z-wave thermostat (WiFi would have been extra), and one year maintenance.

The office, the people who did the inspection, and the people who installed the furnace were all very professional. They were very responsive, quick to get to the job, and did quality work. The pricing was reasonable.

They are great. They were really good, they cleaned all of our ducts and everything before they put in the system. They changed the air ducts and everything. They are a great company. They did everything. The owner is great, and they were amazing. This was the first time that we used them. The sales rep that came out gave us a proper system, and we got rid of the heat pump and put in a regular system, and since then everything has been great. They will come in and they will take care of the furnace and air conditioner.

The work was fine. The person was professional and work was performed to our satisfaction.

It began as a service call on our existing system when we woke up one chilly fall morning to no heat. The previous owners had used Fire & Ice to service the system so we called them. The tech discovered a near-total system failure and informed us that a repair would likely be in the $3,000 range IF he could find parts for the old GE air handler. A sales visit from Roger convinced us that not only would it make more sense to replace the system but we'd likely have a whole new take on the comfort of our home. I'm usually skeptical of such claims but he was right. We went with a mid level Trane system with an upgraded air filter and I thought the price was rather reasonable. Roger laid out all the options but did not pressure us to buy the more expensive systems. Instillation went well with only one small hiccup. We'd asked to have an existing humidifier removed and the hole patched. That didn't make it onto the work order so it didn't get done that day but Fire & Ice did come back out a couple months later and complete that portion of the job. As of this review, we're still waiting for final inspection from the city but I presume that's not Fire & Ice's issue. There is no question the Trane system has been a marked improvement over our older, mismatched heat pump and air handler. Utility bills haven't been significantly impacted yet but this has been one of the coldest winters I've seen in Ohio so I'm sure that's a factor. Fire & Ice should be back out this spring/summer to maintain the system and I'm confident it'll keep us comfortable for years to come.

Our furnace was leaking water. They came and looked at the furnace on 3/4/14 and found the problem. There was a pump on the inside of the furnace that was broke. The part had to be ordered, so they serviced the unit and cleaned it. That was $99.00 & it was working better already. The part was in within 2 days and they were back by Friday morning and had it fixed and out in about an hour.They were great, I would def. use them again and again.

I tried the $99 Angie's list special. Fire & Ice contacted me quickly to set up an appointment. Kelly arrived on time, very courteous and professional. She explained everything she was doing while I looked over her shoulder. This was informative and I'm glad I had this service done. Fortunately, my furnace is in good shape.

We could of not asked for a more professional & friendly install/technician team that provided our install on such a cold winter day. They were very clean during the install and cleaned up very nicely when the where done. I would recommend Fire & Ice to anyone looking for a new furnace and ac. The first technician showed up to confirm what I knew already. The blower motor on my old Bryant system was toast. I did have another company come out to confirm it as well. Every smart consumer should get a second or third opinion even if you already think you know what's wrong. The repair costs varied but the story was the same. Did I really want to spend $400 or more on an 18 year old system. The answer of course was no. The comfort specialist later arrived to provide a quote on the various Trane systems based on the needs of my house. Being a former technician, he was very knowledgeable and I trusted his opinion. After obtaining a few more quotes and settling on a price, I scheduled the install with Fire & Ice. The installers showed up just before another bitter cold spell was arriving. They used nearly their entire day to remove the old unit and put in the new. They used drop cloths, they were friendly, they were professional, and I didn't have a single concern. It's important to note that Fire & Ice offered to provide electric heaters for me if necessary. That's a nice touch and I'm sure that other providers offer the same but it's worth noting. The comfort specialist returned to follow up on the work performed. He took notes of what needed to be done and he made sure it was handled. Fire & Ice returned a week or two later to provide duct cleaning that came with the purchase of my air cleaner. They also followed up on the install of an end cap to finish closing off an old fresh air duct. Finally they dropped off a Nexia bridge which I installed myself at my request. Here's the bottom line on Fire & Ice. They take their customer reviews VERY seriously. Our reviews drive their business and that is very critical in the HVAC business. As a consumer you have probably already been taken by another HVAC company, you just don't know it. I have seen the worst and I have seen the best. A company that prides itself in its image like Fire & Ice, IS the best. If you're not satisfied, they will do whatever they need to do to make it right. Choosing Fire & Ice is a no-brainer decision.

Made an appointment for service. Was advised technician would arrive between 9:00am and 12:00n the following day. 12:00N came and went without so much as a phone call. Contacted their office and advised tech was currently on their way--I declined service. I don't expect people to always be timely, but I do expect a simple phone call when their delayed. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I sure expected better from a business I found highly recommended by Angies' list.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. Everything was good and I will still use them. I have used them many times since I bought the deal. They did fine and I hope they keep up the work. They come in twice a year for me.
