They were extremely intense and aggressive about completely the work effectively. The installers had great intentions, the equipment was suspect. They returned 5 or 6 times to fix the installation or repair the installation and I'm not sure that it's as effective as it could be. They need to understand the equipment more effectively.

This is a good business. They sent a free in home consultation. In my case, Josh. He did a great job on the in home inspection. We spent two hours talking about potential needs of my house. When the installation team came, they put cover on my floor and communicated well. Overall very professional team. Highly recommended.

I originally purchased a big deal tune up from Fire and Ice cost of $79.00. The tech came up and checked my A/C unit. He explained that my Freon was low and that since they charged it last year they needed to check for leaks by reg. I scheduled to have them come out and check for leaks. What was uncovered is my coil needed to be replaced at a cost of approximately $1775.00. He showed me how rusty the coil was. My system was approximately 11 yrs old and I am unsure how often it was serviced when I bought the house last year. Long and short of it, I asked them to give me an estimate for a new A/C unit. I saw they had a deal with Lowes buy the A/C unit and get the furnace included (80% efficiency model - I upgraded to the 97% unit and they took $1000 off the cost not to mention they also processed the paper work to get the rebates from the local utilities companies overall discounts totaled $1,485.00). 2 reps from Fire and Ice (Josh - Trainee and Chris) came along with Dave from Lowes. The sat down and showed me my options and after taking into consideration the costs, financing options and what the system would be able to do. I decided to go with the Trane XV-95 97% high efficiency furnace and a Trane XL-16i 3 ton SEER air conditioning system with an upgrade on the thermostat for an additional $200.00. The thermostat is WiFi enabled and also you can link it to your smart phone (which I did and is an excellent option). What I was surprised about (due in part to dealing through and with Lowes) is that they were able to schedule me next day. So I purchased it on the 14th and they installed in on the 15th. Expect you will need to be home the entire day - they started at about 9 and left a little after 3. 3 techs came initially Will, Alex and Angelo and their field supervisor showed up after noon to assist as well (they did a great job). Everything went very well, there was minimal impacts to me even though I work from home, they dismantled and installed as well as hauled away the old furnace, they also did a good job of explaining what they were doing. One small item is on high efficiency units they don't need to run the exhaust through your chimney as a result they installed an exhaust and intake vent out of the side of my house, which was a nice improvement over some of my neighbors who have high efficiency units and have 2 PVC pipes sticking out of the house, additionally the vent matched my siding. Overall I am pleased with it thus far (we will see how much we save on the utility bills - at least I shouldn't be charged for the system to be charged with FREON again).

Installers arrived at scheduled time. They removed old units. The new furnace required air intake and exhaust piping since a lower efficiency unit was replaced. All work was neatly installed and well thought out. The installers were professional at all times and pleasant to have in our house. We are pleased with the Trane equipment provided. So far we have only used heat and it is different than the old unit. The difference was expected but will take a little while to fine tune.

Everyone I worked with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with the product and service. I would definitely recommend Fire and Ice to my friends and family. Thank you for all you have done!

We appreciate the time Roger spent with us explaining our options in heating and cooling our 3-story 1931 house more evenly. He is very knowledgeable about houses, HVAC, rebates ? and he?s a super nice guy, the kind of person you want to do business with. We went with a different company due to reasons specific to our situation, but many of Roger?s ideas improved our new system. To improve air flow on the second floor, the other company planned to install a small cold air return, but Roger pointed out it wouldn?t be enough to balance all the supply ducts on the second floor. Moreover, the modern HVAC system, properly balanced ductwork, and the Mitsubishi mini-split we are getting to heat and cool the third floor would greatly improve comfort on the second floor. Not putting in that air return saved us $350. The other company had presented the Trane XV95 furnace as our best option, but Roger told us about a new model, the S9V95. The new model is shorter, allowing for a taller array of cooling coils in the plenum atop the furnace. Both furnaces are the same price. When we told the other company what we had learned about the SW9V95, they agreed it was a better unit for us. If you?re in the market for heating and air conditioning equipment, you could not do better than to have a sit-down with Roger. He really knows his stuff.

The install was awesome, clean and professional. Nick & Ryan left nothing to be desired. They were just simply a true customer focused team. I have not one bad comment to say. Having cut ducts and metalwork myself- I was impressed. Angelo and Will Maynard installed for my neighbor and she is absolutely delighted.

Scheduled an appointment for the same day, and David came out to perform the inspection. He was very thorough and knowledgeable.

The service went well. The filter that I had didn't fit quite right so they installed a new piece to make it work better.

It went fine. There were additional charges.

Even thought I ended up going with a different company, I was very impressed with this company. Pricing was competitive also. I would not hesitate to use them.

We arrived home from Vacation and I noticed our furnace was not on. I Figured out it was the flame roll out switch. I reset it and then researched online more about the problems of that switch ( did not seem good from what I was reading). I then called fire and ice to come take a look. I appreciate them getting back to me so fast and in a timely manner. I went with them because I thought I needed help right away. They sent their tech out for 79$. fine. HE then proceeded to tell me it was my secondary exchange was bad and it would cost upwards of 2600$ or so to fix parts and labor...Even suggested at that price to replace the furnace. I then called my father in law who is a retired HVAC tech who lives in florida and He told me to call his buddy, so i did. HE knew right away it was the exchange heater as well, but the 2nd opinion also told us this was under a recall and all parts will be covered. He charged us 99$ to replace the secondary exchange heater!! 99$$$!! not 2600$. I am not happy with how If I did not get this 2nd opinion I would of spent that much money when there was a recall and you fire and ice did not tell me about this recall that had been out for 5 years now. The tech did not seem very happy that I was going to get a 2nd opinion and or had him talk to my father in law on the phone. Word to the wise...Always get a 2nd opinion on things and ask questions about recalls now is what I have learned. I am very glad I got the 2nd opinion now. I saved my self a lot of money!

The first crew came out Wednesday to service the 2yr old furnace for the $79 Angie's list price. My complaint was the furnace was running very loud. The techs diagnosed the problem as a loose blower and wheel, parts were under warranty, labor of $234 was not. They could not replace the part until the next day, in the mean time we couldn't run the furnace. The next day the second tech arrived on time, replaced the part, tracked mud throughout the house and said the reason for the wheel going bad so soon was because it was pulling twice the amps that the motor should pull. He was willing to come out to diagnosis that problem another day and for the cost of another service call, or he suggested we contact the company who installed the furnace. We contacted the company that installed the furnace. The senior tech came out, disagreed with the amp diagnosis and said their cost of the blower and wheel repair would have been covered in their $95 service call. He also said the original blower was a sleeve design and Troy has had many of these fail, so they have been replacing the units with a better ball bearing design. Fire and ice replaced the part with another sleeve unit. So I paid $313 for something that could have cost $95 and have an inferior part. Although the furnace is quiet again and we have heat.

It went well from the beginning to end. It was completed in one day. It took over 10 hours to do it though. Everyone we had contact with at this company was professional and courteous.

The technical was professional and courteous. He clearly communicated the issue with my furnace. He provided me with my options applicable cost of each option. We were very satisfied with service provided by Fire and Ice and will use them again in the future when necessary.

Our home was very dry, and had a lot of static electricity, so we had Fire & Ice come out to install a whole home humidifier. We had used them before to do a check up on our furnace at our previous home, had a good experience then, so were familiar with the company. Our service tech Nick, was on time and very courteous. It had snowed that morning, so he ensured that he always had boot covers on inside our house. Nick did a great job installing our humidifier: he explaining how he was going to install the equipment, how it worked, the benefits, and what to look for if our house had too much humidity. Upon completion, it looked like the humidifier had always been there, as the work was extremely neat with a high degree of quality. Great Job Fire & Ice (and Nick) - you can tell there is a strong company culture at the company, as everyone I spoke to including sales, scheduling, service, and payment, were very professional. You need to hire the right people to have all of these people have this same attitude....thanks again!

I had purchased the furnace tune up from Angie's list. Although the purchase notification mentioned that the service provider would contact by a particular date, we did not get a response. However, when we called them up on a Saturday, they took the contact details and called back on Monday to schedule the appointment and provided a 4 hour window. On the day of the appointment, Brad called ahead. He was on schedule, very courteous, did a thorough job, explained the work he did and provided some recommendations on how to reduce the dryness in the air which was a concern of mine. Overall I am very happy with the service.

Everything went well. Roger guided me to the furnace that fit both need and budget on a Friday, the team was here to install Monday morning (next business day). Everyone was professional and did good work. Roger came out for a follow up visit two weeks later to ensure everything went well, which it did.

Our furnace went out on the coldest day in January. Fire and Ice was able to come out that day while other companies said wait list or next day.Their tech Brad came to our house to service a non working furnace. At that time he had the unfortunate news to tell us that our furnace heat exchanger was broken. He was very helpful and explained while showing me first hand the issues. He apologetically recommended purchasing a new furnace. Salesman Arne came out that same evening to measure the house windows etc and recommend the proper range of units for our home. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We opted to get a second opinion the following day and found Fire and Ice to be competitive in their pricing and chose them for install. The following day (a Saturday), installers Billy and Will came to our home by 8:00 am. They were professional, considerate (wore booties on floors to minimize mess) and trained/ explained the new system. It also helped we were able to get 12 mos. Same as cash through Trane. In all, we had an excellent experience with all individuals we encountered at Fire and Ice. We highly recommend their services and will use them for future maintenance on our new system.

Their diagnosis of the problem was correct. The A/C needed a new cooling fan motor. Their cost to complete the repairs were higher than I could get elsewhere.

They performed a full inspection and made sure everything was working properly. They were able to work around my schedule to do this when I needed at a price I was comfortable with.

I have not been able to schedule service because they do not have weekend hours>>>>> so I wasted my money

We were in need of a furnace and A/C replacement and Roger gave us an estimate. He was on time and thoroughly explained what would be involved with the installation. We chose Fire & Ice because of Roger's professionalism, the competitive price and positive reviews. The system was installed on 1-7-2016 by Bryan and Ryan and everything went extremely well. The job took about 5 hours including a humidifier install, which was less time that I was expecting. They cleaned up very well and were very professional.

The tech called when he was within 30 minutes of arriving, as we requested. He arrived on time and went to work. I explained that furnace cycled frequently and that tenant complained of too little heat. He found that gas valve to burners was set too high, overheating the plenum and that speed of blower was set to "low". When I went to thermostat to set to call for heat, I found thermostat seemed backwards, old and may have even been installed incorrectly, but tenant had been using it the way it was. I asked the tech if he could install a new one at this time. No problem. He had one, installed it and system has been working just fine. Tech did not try to upsell, just pointed out a few minor problems, but indicated that furnace should be OK for years. I appreciate that kind of honest and thorough service. I will (in fact, have) call Fire and Ice again.
