Description of Work: This was a "special" for furnace check and cleaning. They included in this not only the furnace, but the humidifier as well, and they carried the proper filter with them. I decided to enter a yearly contract with them for heating and cooling--there was no pressure for me to do this. |I was very satisfied with the job the completed.

Description of Work: They took out old furnace, placed a new gas furnace and air conditioning unit and all of the duct work in the basement, going to the existing ductwork already in place in the walls. This is a very old house - 1939 vintage.

At this point he advised me to call AEP. Very professional and courteous. Furnace is 38 yrs old and heat pump is at least 25 yrs old. He suggested I might want to consider replacing with more efficient model. Would use again and most likely call them for replacement. |

He was very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. The pricing was very good for the type and brand I selected. My new furnace was installed right away. The staff that installed the furnace was very professional and skilled. I was very impressed with the service and efficiency.

Description of Work: I called Fire and Ice after dealing with another provider didn't fix my furnace. They came out to my first call promptly and looked at my furnace which was not kicking on, The person was very professional. As had happened numerous times with the first providor, although the furnace was running at the end of the appt, , it would not kick on by itself. I called Fire and Ice back and the service supervisor came out promptly at 8 AM on a Saturday morning, diagnosed the problem and fixed the furnace. He had to go to the other side of town to pick up a new exhaust motor. Then he replaced it and the furnace has been fine ever since. I also bought a year contract to come out next spring and winter.

Description of Work: Performed maintenance on furnace. Easy to schedule through Angie's List special. After last year's experience where the (young) technician told me I was on the verge of carbon monoxide poisoning (not true), this was much better!

Description of Work: The technician who came out thought I'd ordered a furnace checkup, but I had ordered an AC checkup. When he hesitated, I asked him to verify that I'd ordered an AC pkg. He said it had come through as a furnace check, but he agreed to do the AC check instead. (My AC had quit on the last hot day this summer.) He found a bad switch in the outdoor unit and asked if I wanted him to replace it, quoting a price. I said yes, even though the price kind of stunned me. He replaced the switch and was done, all in less than 30 minutes. He said the unit should be ready to go next spring.
