Energy Tech Insulation

I chose them because they were on the list of the energy audit people and also they had good ratings on Angieslist. They are very reputable and have been in business for a very long time. They came when they said they would.

We got a lot of estimates and the price was good. The guy that came out really knew what he was talking about versus another company. They called to let us know that they were going to be a little late. We didn't like that they were smoking outside and they didn't ask us if that was okay. We have a small child and didn't appreciate that. Other than that they did a great job. They were here all day from 8:30 to 5 pm and additional workers came when they finished another job. They were good. We had to call several times to get hold of them at first.

We spent $3,000 on that work. They came out and gave us an estimate, and were very professional. They scheduled the service, arrived on time and completed the job on time. They explained everything very well.

Could not be more pleased! Their quote was more than FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS then the other quotes. They were fast, QUIET, friendly, informative. They did a fantastic job. It would be a mistake to not call Energy Tech. It took a few days for them to return my call, but they definitely made up for that. The other companies we had quote us were a joke compared to Energy Tech. Going to buy some new golf clubs with the money I saved!!!!!!!!!

They were excellent to work with. They used a thermal camera to find the areas where our house needed more insulation, which we appreciated. That was very helpful. They were always very prompt and clean. They did a very good job and we have actually seen a lot of energy savings since they did the work.

Glen was very professional and really knew what he was doing and listened to my questions and concerns. His crew was great, skilled and polite. Blowing insulation is a dirty job and they did a good job of cleaning up. I would definitely recommend them for other insulation jobs. Initially it did take a while for Glen to get back to me but once he did he was always very responsive. It was well worth the slight delay. On the day of the installation his crew needed to come a bit later than scheduled and they called before the designated time and explained what was happening. That type of courtesy does not happen very often!

I called them to make an appointment for an estimate. They called back and gave me the cell phone number of the scheduler and told me not to call for a few days because he was real busy. They must not need the work.

When we decided to add insulation to the walls of our home (interior plaster, exterior stucco) we call several companies for an estimate. Glen was the only one to actually walk the interior of the house and use an infrared camera to check what insulation might be in the walls. He also checked for areas in the ceiling and basement that might need additional attention (correctly remembering that they had insulated our crawl space and attic a few years ago). His bid came in $700 lower than the rest. Although the bad weather in late December and early January pushed back our date (he did give us plenty of notice), I could not be happier with the work that was done – and the results. His team did a great job, were courteous and professional and cleaned up the exterior work areas.

The thing that impressed me the most with Energy Tech was that the estimator, Glenn, came up with the most creative solution to the problem of a cold master suite built over a three car garage. Other insulation contractors wanted us to pull the sheetrock from the garage ceiling to permit the use of spray foam (which, admittedly, would be the best for the job if this were new construction). Glenn was able to figure out, by accessing part of the garage ceiling over a crawl space, that we had 6" of fiberglass insulation in a 10" cavity (2x10 joists). So drilling a series of about ten holes, one for each cavity between joists, Energy Tech was able to blow additional insulation in and above the existing batts without tearing out the whole ceiling. We definitely noticed a difference in room comfort. Their prices were also very competitive.

They were great. They were a little late but called to let me know before hand. They performed the job exactly as they said they would and did a great job cleanning up.

I almost wrote off this provider when I didn't receive a return call for over a week. However, I had not made a decision when the call was returned, and we set up time for an estimate. This is a busy time for this type of business, especially given the tax credit for energy improvements. I ultimately decided to only complete the insulation work in my basement. Energy Tech was already completing work for a neighbor the next day, so Glen said he could complete my small project immediately following. The tech was friendly and worked quickly. He answered any questions I had before and after completing the work.

Overall, the project went well. We are satisfied with the results of the additional insulation as it has helped with temperature flucuations especially on the 2nd floor bedrooms. We had a very thorough inspection and estimate although there was some attempt at up-selling on crawlspace and basement insulation which we chose not to do this time to stay within our budget. Work was delayed one day, but they called to ask if that was okay. The workers who came out were not completely familiar with what work had been agreed upon and had to call and ask just before they came out so as to have the correct tools. Work took approximately 5 hours to complete and they ran into a few issues, especially in accessing the area above our garage. They had to drill multiple holes as opposed to one hole due to the configuration of the space above our garage and the bedrooms above it. Unfortunately they only learned this after cutting the original hole. They did patch all the the holes they cut. The two workers frequently were quarreling and sniping at each other over both the pace and workmanship of their tasks. This was not very professional in my opinion. My wife asked if they were brothers, and they responded by saying they didn't usually work together. They did take the time to explain what work they completed per the estimate and cleaned up after themselves.

My friend referred them to me. There were serious gaps in the insulation in our house. Energy Tech fixed them for us. We were very pleased with them. The house is so much more comfortable now. They see through the infrared camera and they were able to spot them and they knew how to fix them, too. Now we don’t sit and freeze in the rooms. The price was worth it. We had to fix the problem and now that we are done with it we don’t have to do it again. If we ever have to blow the insulation again we will definitely call them back.

I called Energy Tech after they had done work for a neighbor and also had good Angies List ratings. The owner, Ron, came out to do the estimate. He was very friendly, professional and was able to give me a quote on the spot. He scheduled the job, and the workmen arrived promply and work efficiently. They were very careful to check and make sure that my cat was locked up each time they entered and exited the house during various parts of the job. The workmen were very pleasant, and cleaned up everything when the job was done. We are very pleased with the outcome. Our heating and cooling bills have been reduced and the bedrooms have been more consistent in temperature.

They came in the morning with all of their supplies from flashlights to tools and barely stopped to rest all day. They explained every step to us and all 3 guys were very nice and professional. They continually cleaned as they worked sweeping up any insulation on the floors. They swept up as much as they could in t he garage as well. They answered questions and kept us informed of the process. They left around 4:00. We were very pleased.

They did a real good job. I asked them to come back out to check up stairs in the crawl space where there was a storage space. They filled it with insulation but they left the hole open and covered it with the outside siding. I asked that he come out to look and he said it was a dead zone so it wouldn't make a difference. He never came back as far as I know. But they did a good job. Their pricing was very good.

The installation was uneven and I asked them to level it out, which they did. Jason did a good job. However, we asked them to blow more insulation into the attic to finish the job, and one of the workers became upset.: When they were bringing the hose into the house for a second time, he was not as careful, knocking it into the doors and walls.

He walked through the house, let us look through his infrared glasses to see gaps they would fill with the insulation. He provided us a DETAILED estimate of what they would do (including patching holes where they'd drilled to blow in the insulation, removing and replacing shingles where removed, etc). Once scheduled, his team of two techs showed up and did exactly what the estimate said for exactly the cost of the estimate. They were quick, neat, no-nonsense. I marked N/A for quality because it is too early to determine if the product will be effective in addressing the issue; we will be watching our utility bills to determine whether this type of insulation actually helps and is worth the investment. But, in terms of the company's performance, they met expectations and were very easy to work with.

Glen came out and advised me how to deal with my ice dam problem and my frost problem (inside the attic) and was very knowleadgable and easy to work with. The estimate was quite reasonable. The two attics are very shallow and difficult to get around in. It all went very smoothly. The indoor mess was minimal and the two workmen cleaned it up and were courteous and professional. They blew in at least the contracted amount, maybe more. They did forget to insulate the lids to r-38, so I called Glen and he came out and did it.

The work was completed. Will evaluate over the next few months. They did not waste anytime to get done. One of the men did not take his shoes off when he used our restroom, with insulation on shoes, I did mention this to the supervisor. When they left they did not return the washer and dryer back, I did call them and I waiting for their return call to have this taken care of.

Glen came out to give an estimate and inspection. He was very professional and was not pushy. He used a heat camera (the only one out of 6 estimates) to figure out where insulation was needed. After calling to schedule an appointment they came when scheduled. It took 2 days to get the project done. There were 2 different crews they were both very professional. They appeared to be truly genuine in making sure that they filled all the walls and even went above and beyond in the attic space. Did an excellent job with clean up too. This is a top notch company giving top notch service at an affordable cost.

The job went as smoothly as can be expected. From estimate to final bill, I was treated fairly and professionally. Great job and thanks!

He did the work in the time frame promised. He cleaned up after the work. The change in room temperature was immediately noticeable. We are pleased with the results.

I had three different estimates. I liked their proposal and their plan of attack. I wanted a certain thing done and they were willing to do it. They arrived on time and did the work quickly.
