The installers were GREAT -- thorough job, very professional, detailed, hard-working guys ! Super job! Done in 2 days ! We also thought good about the salesperson, Noor -- very detailed and talked us thru everything -- great job !

We had a really nice/informed salesman who took the measurements, offered varieties of carpets and never heard from him again! I called back a week or so later to see if an estimate was available, and was told that our local Empire office would be contacted and asked to follow up. Guess what?! Never happend! We gave up and went with another company.

Emipre sent out an estimator - he showed in a pair of shorts and appeared very unprofessional. He proceesed to explain to me that it might be necessary to rip out my 3/4 Plywood subfloors and install the 3/4and quot; solid hard wood directly onto/over the joists. He was done at that moment -- even a layperson (and I have worked at Lowes for 10 years) would know better. He was unprofessional, un-knowledable and totally represented Emipre, at leat to me, as an incompetent hardwood installer. I would caution against using this company.

Two days later as Tim promised the hardwood floor installers were here on Saturday. It was a husband and wife team. They moved all the furniture and explained the installation process before they started. They did a terrific job. The following day the carpet was installed. The carpet installers were not as friendly and hard to understand. They were however very cautious of our home. They to also moved all furniture and put it back. All in all great experience. We have referred them to friends and family. To our surprise Tim sent us a $50 gift card for the reference. I will definitely use them again. Great job.

2 hour appointment with sales rep. Picked out carpet, tile, and hardwood for estimate for 3 rooms. Sales person was unable to give prices and said she would have to get back to us. No contact since. It has been 2 weeks now. Using another company. Was a waste of time.

The salesman was great, but the then the office here in Columbus canceled my order. They never showed up. When I called to find out where they were, they told me my order had been canceled. They connected me to the office in Cleveland, and they found installers that were willing to come to my home, but obviously it was not that day, so I had to take another day off of work. However, the carpet layers did a beautiful job.

I called to get an estimate after seeing Empire's add on TV. The salesman came to my house THAT afternoon. He had many samples of hardwood for me and gave me a VERY fair estimate. The salesman was very professional and courteous and made valuable suggestions. We had some concerns b/c we have existing hardwood in the ktchen and family room and he was very helpful w/ regard to trying to match. He also gave us very helpful suggestions w/ regard to choosing the carpet for the stairs and hall. After getting 4 other estimates, all which were well over Empire's estimate, I called the salesman back b/c I was very hesitant to go with such a huge national chain. I was not sure I would get the same quality work from them that I had in the past with other smaller companies. He assured me I would be pleased and Empire's #1 goal is customer service. We are thrilled with the result. The floors looks like they've been here forever. The installers were also v. courteous and hard working. They really struggled to remove the old tile as it had been layed in 2 inches of concrete, but they did it well and then had to get more subflooring before they could lay the hardwood so the floor height would be even with the LR and the kitchen. We signed the contract on a Thursday, they started work on Tuesday, and were finished by Friday. Amazing! We're still waiting for the carpet, as it had to be specially ordered, but I know I will be pleased with the result as well.

I called and they came out the next day, and laid the carpet the next day. The carpet layers were very hard working, professional, and kind. I was very impressed!

Did an excellent job. The installers arrived on time, were friendly and professional. They removed the old carpet, installed the laminate I picked and cleaned up when the job was done. They even moved any furniture that was in the way. If there was a question or concern on how I wanted something installed (such as the baseboards), they would immediately bring it to my attention and we would discuss what I wanted and what could be done. There was a final walk through when the installation was done. My floors look wonderful. I would definitely hire them again.

We were impressed with the options that were offered - refinished hardwood and engineered wood is what we were interested in. We did wonder if there was some sales goal set for per go as that is what our salesman kept pushing even after we said we would rather have a wood product.

I scheduled the estimate appointment online. Steve was here exactly when he was scheduled to be. The carpet I wanted was on sale, PLUS you get a discount for setting up the estimate appointment online, PLUS I got a discount for being a member of Angie's list!! The price was great! The installers arrived punctually and MOVED THE BIG FURNITURE!! They carpeted the whole room - even my 2 little itsy bitsy closets, and the room looks terrific!! I could hardly wait to go to sleep in it! Then the guys put my furniture back. They were professional and friendly, and they get "10's" all the way.

After a bad experience with a different carpet company, I called Empire for an estimate. They were prompt, knowledgeable and completely professional. I was particularly impressed by the installation crew who worked tirelessly to get the job completed - which included moving furniture and the complete clean up afterwords.

Came out to give estimate and scheduled installation for following day. Came next day, tore out old carpet and pad, and installed new carpet and pad. Cleaned up afterwards and hauled away and disposed of all old carpet.

Overall, it went pretty well. Prime issue had to do with timing. The salesman told us they would make their best effort to get to the house by 9am the next morning. (Note: he didn't *promise* this, but he did say they would try). They ended up coming at around 12:30pm, which we were concerned would put us in a major bind because we were leaving on a trip first thing the next morning (and couldn't meet them there the next day so they could finish the job). Turned out, this wasn't an issue because it took less time than they thought it would (I'll expound on that in a moment) and because they were willing to work as late as was needed to get the job done. They sent three guys, each of whom knew how to do their jobs quite well. They worked well as a team and busted their butts to get it done for us. In the end, they did a good job. Only complaint other than the timeliness was the fact that they didn't have a working wet/dry vacuum to clean up the mess. No problem, though because I worked right along with them and I had a vacuum and I did the cleanup. I was more than happy to help, given the fact that these guys were willing to work late to get the job done. In terms of estimating the time to complete the job: The foreman (if I can call him that) informed me that most customers don't listen to the sales folks when they tell them they need stuff cleared off of the furniture in advance. That's actually what caused them to be late because they were sent to another job that should have been really quick, but they ended up having to move a bunch of stuff that the customer should have taken care of. When they got to our house, we had everything moved (lamps, pictures, etc.) so they could go straight to work. Also, they said that the salesman wrote down that our carpets were pasted to the floor, which takes a lot longer to rip out than those that are tacked down. Turned out, he was wrong. Ours were tacked and the removal happened pretty quickly. Overall, I'd choose Empire again. They were cordial, efficient, and do quality work. I'm also pretty happy with the quality of the carpet we chose.

Quality of work is excellent. Work was done on Saturdays with no extra cost. Installers were very nice to deal with and hard working.

I had them twice because I wanted to see the product up close after I had looked at other places. They were kind of pricey, so I decided to go with another company.
