Paint job was great. Tried to reach back out for additional work and received one text, an not further response. I am out of town, so responsiveness is very important to me.

Scott, Jared, granite people were excellent; very talented, professional, and courteous. Able to leave them work when we had to leave our home. Cleaned up each day. Would hire and recommend them to others.

The person who came to evaluate the work to be done acted in a professional manner, but the price he gave me to perform the work as too high.

Amber was great. She took her time and listened to me and what we wanted to accomplish. She was very detailed orientated and her ultimate design was fabulous! Now I cannot wait to remodel.

Very professional business. Punctual in all meetings. Originally paid for a great deal on Angie's list for initial consultation. Afterwards, met with owner at their showroom and she gave us a very detailed report of costs and excellent drawings for beautiful new plans for 2 bathrooms. Overall renovation price was in line with other estimates we received already.

Their work is wonderful. My wife loves what we have done, (her mother too!). Great products and great work team. We will hire them again.

The porch looks nice (after a bit of prodding to change a few things). However, we asked them to build a screened in porch. There are A LOT of bugs on the porch, about a cup full of dead bugs after not using porch for two months! When I asked them to fix this, it took several weeks for them to respond. The solution was less than satisfactory as it involved additional cost. My final conversation with them was one year ago. They tried to blame the problem on the design of the existing roof. But the roof existed when they designed the porch! Now we are stuck with a "partially screened in porch". Their quote was about 20% less than a nearby (Gahanna) competitor. I guess we got what we paid for. I was hoping that they would contact me after I communicated my dissatisfaction to the person who built the porch. Now I will call a professional to ***** and fix the problem. And probably spend the 20% that I thought that I saved when building the porch.

We could not be more pleased with the service and work performed by Elite Home Remodeling. Kody Ruggles was our primary contact and has been responsive, courteous, and professional throughout. He provided a continual update leading up to the remodel, and followed all the way through completion. Jim and Nick were our primary contacts for the kitchen. The attention to detail and the quality of work that they provided was outstanding. They did all of the hardwood floors in addition to the full kitchen. They were prompt, clean, and always provided us updates. We also had our fireplace remodeled, having stone added to up to the cathedral ceiling. It turned out far better than we imagined. Once fully complete, we have already asked for additional flooring in the upstairs of our home. Steve completed this job, and again, we are very pleased with the work. We will use them again in the future as we look to remodel our bathrooms. We were very nervous about a home remodel, but are so very glad we chose them for our project. Kristin Hymrod

Difficult. Please reference other reviews regarding discussions with the office staff. Labor staff were friendly and respectful of our home. Quality average. Our wood floors are already cracking and wood putty is drying up. Sealant was not very good. Ended up with grout on our kitchen floors which needs to be maintained even though we were told the vinyl product being installed wouldn't need maintenance above that of typical vinyl flooring. Job took over 6 months to complete due to revisits to correct general installation issues related to flooring.

We were incredibly happy with Elite. We had a dedicated crew (Dave and Zach) that was prompt and communicated very well with us the entire project. Amber did a great job of designing our kitchen and working with our budget. Our house was left clean every single night, with tools and other items organized neatly out of the way. The job was completed ahead of schedule. We are so happy with the kitchen and our hardwood floors.

It was like a 3-month project. That?s where Sims-Lohman came into the picture, they were the sub-contractor. We first connected with them in late April after the Home & Garden Show, cause they were an exhibitor there in Columbus and the fairgrounds, and that is where we met them. The owner?s daughter, I guess the office business spokesman. She came and we went through our interests and options and then she took measurements. Then we went to their showroom and they showed us some options for the kind of tile and the kind of shower, so on and so forth. So, we picked everything out. We went around to different suppliers for the fixtures and the plumbing and all that. She came up with a very nice proposal. It was not the least cost proposal. We when with another one first, also a competitive bid. It was a little more expensive, but in the end, it was worth wild. The total cost, I think came around to $23,000. Price was competitive. For what we got, we thought we got a good deal. The person that did the work, he came very punctuality. He was very friendly and we had a great relationship with him, cause he was here every day for about 2 weeks. Tearing it all out and putting everything new in, rebuilding it up and all that. His son painted. It was a good team. The quote was good, so we were happy the end result. We actually got a quote for our second bathroom, which we haven?t done anything with at this point.

Service so far has been excellent; better than we could have hoped.

From the first contact with Elite, our experience was top-notch. Janet, the office manager, responded to my online inquiry within 20 minutes; she definitely set the tone for this experience! Originally, we had considered doing both bathrooms and had Elite quote us for both of them; we later reconsidered that plan and opted to do just the original bathroom upstairs. Janet set us up for an estimate with Heather, one of their designers, for that same week. I want to emphasize that, because of how well we "clicked" with Heather and our experience with the integrity with which Elite conducts their business (from the estimate stage on--truly), we did not bother quoting our remodel with anyone else. Normally I would insist on at least 2 or 3 estimates for a job of this scale, but we knew right away that Elite was the contractor for us. We have never, ever regretted that choice! (On a personal note, we connected with Heather immediately: it was like we already knew her, and we feel very fortunate that she was paired with us. We truly couldn't have gotten through the project without her, and now consider her a friend of the family.) Heather came to our home to have a look and get an idea of what we wanted, and she did scale drawings of the rooms as well. She was also able to very roughly estimate the cost of the proposed job because of her experience, and she was actually very close in the end! While we had an idea of what we wanted (color scheme, flooring, style of shower and vanity, etc.), Heather was an invaluable resource for us when it came to fixtures and materials. Our budget was firm with little wiggle room, and Heather worked very hard to make sure we stayed on it. She was upfront about what things would be better (i.e., cheaper) for us to buy ourselves vs. using one of their sources as well. We bought our own flooring (Lowe's), the vanity and cabinets (IKEA), and fixtures like towel bars (also IKEA). Because Elite is so good at what they do, they have quite a full book of work! Heather was very upfront about that, and since this was a remodel by choice rather than absolute necessity, that was fine with us. The original timeline was roughly 7 months out but because things can come up during a job, it ended up being more like 9. That was okay with us, and we were kept informed of this by Heather at all times. Doug was our carpenter, and this once again felt like kismet: his skill is exceptional, he had a true respect for the character of our home, and he is an all-around wonderful person. One thing we really wanted was to salvage as much of the original baseboard trim from the room as possible (some of it had to be removed for the shower to be built), which is a challenging prospect in a home with plaster walls. But Doug was able to carefully remove the baseboards and re-install them, and the extra pieces were saved for us as well. Doug went above and beyond for us: our job was not an easy one (plaster walls, uneven floors, ridiculous plumbing errors from previous tinkering homeowners, etc.), but he always kept us informed and made sure we were happy with how things were going. Everything from most of the plumbing to building and tiling the shower to installing the floor, toilet, and vanity was done by Doug himself! A sub-contracted plumber ended up being necessary due to some issues with the venting that could not have been foreseen, but Elite reconciled that work against what we had built into the quote and made sure we did not pay for any work twice. Both Doug and Heather were instrumental in that effort. In the end, our job took about 2 months from start date to passing the final inspection. There were certainly days during that time where work was not being performed (either waiting for materials, waiting for things to cure, or waiting for us to do painting, etc.). We did all our own demolition, which took place before Elite began their work. We handled the painting as well. While we were very tired of having only 1 functional bathroom from September (when we did the demo) through part of December, the wait for this transformation was well worth it! No corners were cut; past errors and negligence were fixed properly. We were kept informed at all times, and the results are better than we could have imagined. If you are looking for a remodeling company that provides excellent service, quality workmanship, and a level of disclosure and honesty that is unsurpassed, you should hire Elite. We are certainly going to hire them when we are ready to do our other bathroom, and our kitchen, and.... ;-) (Assuming we haven't scared Doug off with our wacky old house problems!) If there was a grade higher than A, they'd get it from us!

We used them for design ideas/renderings which were wonderful and exactly what we wanted. We did not go through with the project due to cost/budget.

I bought a rendering deal on Angie's List. They did the rendering and provided a quote which we thought was high. We decided not to hire them because the pricing was so high.

They gave us a quote that was high, but decided not to use them.

We decided to add a new room where our patio previously was, initially thinking a 3-season room but then going whole hog with 4-season with independent heating/cooling. We chose Elite after talking to the owner and reading Angie’s List reviews, and we’ve been consistently impressed by the speed and quality of the job they’ve done. They are easy to work with and responsive to questions, and really made it as painless as possible during construction. Were able to quickly accommodate last minute request to install Solatubes natural lighting. Went with Coretech flooring to keep down damage due to dogs. Really pleased with the new room.

Our first meeting was with Robert, the owner who listened very carefully to what we wanted. Additionally, he shared pictures of other projects to gain understanding of the look and feel of what we desired. He promptly delivered a quote which included all the things on my "like to have" list. Unfortunately, the cost for all my wants exceeded my budget. Robert met with us in person and we edited the project to eliminate all the fancy wants and together we created a plan to create our three season room at a price that was more in line with what we wanted to invest. We agreed to be responsible for all the painting and we changed materials and eliminated a fireplace feature and Robert sharpened his pencil - it was a good session where I felt like we both worked to find a way to make this happen. We were given an approximate timeline for the project. Our project manager Tom contacted us right on schedule. It did take a couple of meetings and more time than anticipated to complete the drawings and get all the necessary signatures and permits; however, these challenges did not impact our projected start date. Our crew, Andy and Greg, began work the day that they were scheduled and arrived each day as soon as daylight permitted. They started early every day taking only a short break and would work onsistently until quitting time. They worked cohesively as a team and it was evident from the beginning that they were professional who worked well together. They were both very respectful of our home, our dog and our neighbors.. Elite excavated support piers, poured the concrete, and framed the entire structure in just a few days. They did an excellent job matching the existing shingles , vinyl siding and roof and gutters on our 22 year old home.. Andy and Greg showed great attention to detail and were very conscientious in the work. Each day they cleaned up any debris and left our backyard in usable condition. The entire project took seven weeks to complete. I wholeheartedly endorse Elite Home Remodeling and would hire them for my next project. This was not the first construction project we had completed at our home but it was certainly the project that went the smoothest and as anticipated - on time and on budget. One of the comments that Robert made on his first visit to our home was that the room would look as if it had always been there, not an add-on. The quality of the work performed and the attention to detail seamlessly integrated this addition into our existing structure and landscape.

They came out to our house as scheduled, very polite and provided some initial ideas. They took measurements and said they would be in contact with us. We did not hear back, so after 10 days we called the office. The woman who answered apologized and said she would reach out to him and she or he would reach out to me. I did not hear anything for a few days, so I called again and spoke to the same individual. Later that day I received an email from the gentleman with the quote and a hand drawn layout of our basement, which was not the computer generated renderings we expected nor the "final in-home plan review". It is now two days since we got the quote and hand drawn layout and we still have not heard from them or received additional info. It is now day 16 since the original consultation. Since this time we have had two other basement remodeling companies in and have received their quotes back and drawings. Both of which we did not pay any fee for. I am starting to wonder if this $49 deal is a scam because so far it has not been beneficial to us nor has it delivered what the deal said it would deliver.

It didn't work out as well as I had hoped. I was not that impressed with the plans that they drew up. They were extremely simplistic. It just seemed like there was not a lot of effort put into it. It took them a long time to get back to us with the drawings. We had chosen to do it with the basement and they basically said that there was only one little part of the basement that was worth doing, otherwise we'd have to do something really major. There was only one room they worked on. They put some shelves on one side of the wall and thought that was all that was needed. There was no style to it. The workers were nice and friendly but I didn't feel like I got anything valuable out of that deal. We got no ideas. We went to their showroom and they showed us a 10 by 10 room. They said they were going to put $12-15,000 cabinets. It ended up being silly. Very little knowledge, effort and experience went into the plan. The responsiveness was pretty good.

We had a fabulous experience! Robert worked closely with us as we finalized the plans for the remodel and we were able to preview the contract and plan and make adjustments as the work proceeded. When work commenced, our crew (Joe and his son, Kyle) arrived and left at the same time each day so we always knew when work would be done. They always let us know what they would be working on each day and cleaned up wonderfully at the end of each day. When you have people in your house Monday through Friday for seven weeks it is truly great if the people in your house are efficient, respectful, and treat the house as if it was their own. Joe and Kyle did this! We also appreciated how great a painter, Charlie, is--wonderful job (kudos too to Spencer)!

We did not buy the service it's a little to expensive right now, but the design was fantastic and worth the forty dollars

We saw a deal on Angie's List for a kitchen remodel consultation. the deal was $49 for a kitchen remodel plan including plans. We had been thinking about remodeling because we really need more storage space. So I purchased the 'deal' through Angie's List. The lady that came was very nice but within 15 min. she was talking $30,000. When she saw that was more than we expected she started talking about $20,000 for resurfacing cabinets, etc. We never got any drawings. I feel that this was really just a scam to get in the door to sell us something. My recommendation is that you don't use this company, and my recommendation to Angie's List is that you make sure the company delivers what is promised to your members.

Wonderfully. Amber Harmon came and spent nearly 2hrs at my house she listened and also offered suggestions. Less than 2 weeks later we met at Sims Lohan to look at the design and also select cabinets and counters. However the first quote was too much for. We both then thought about alternatives. Amber was able to find a deal on good cabinets which really allowed to put things back in my plan together with Craig from Sims we found a price I could afford and a plan that has nearly everything I wanted. We are moving ahead and will be finalizing the deal next week. Greatpeople to work with so far.
