Description of Work: We needed to move a large and heavy piece of furniture from the 2nd floor to 1st floor. Staircase was narrow and winding. 2 workers arrived on time, covered the banisters, carefully maneuvered the furniture downstairs.

They did all the work we had asked them to do and were very careful with our furniture, walls, etc. We had one piece of furniture that was very hard to get out of the basement and they worked diligently to come up with a solution. This was the first time I had used a moving company and had heard some scary stories - but there were no hidden fees, they did an excellent job and were a joy to be around that day. The cost was actually much less than I expected it to be!

+ -1 moreWe could not be happier with our choice to use Troy and his team to help us move. We have moved several times over the last few years, and they made it easy. They tool special care of our belongings and we didn't have any damage or issues. The team showed up 15 mins early (never a bad thing when you are moving) and started padding down the doorways, covering the floors, and prepping their truck. Over the next 4 hours they loaded up our old house and moved us to the new one. Carefully placing all of our furniture in the new rooms, re-building the beds and crib, and even re-arraigning one room when we needed it. The crew was pleasant, clean and professional.
Description of Work: Moved all of our furniture, disassembled our beds/cribs and reassembled them at the new house. Moved us 3 miles.

I have been a real estate agent for nearly 18 years and I had heard so many horror stories about moving companies. Troy Rote, the owner was so relaxed and confident that we would have a good experience and he delivered! The crew was so conscientious and took great care to pack our furniture and items well. Ben and Shawn made the trip to South Carolina with us and these men worked so hard and "efficiently" They were also very polite and friendly.. Efficient Moving was very competitively priced. We had three bids. I've already passed the name of this great company on to two other families who are moving. A+++ in my book!

I had to move out of my sold house in Westerville, OH, travel abroad to India for business and then move into my new home in Merion Village, Columbus OH. So, had the opportunity to utilize their storage facilities as well. They showed up on time, effecient, clean, professional and fun moving team. By far the fairest price on moving a 2500 sq ft ranch with full basement, unbeatable storage cost for a month and the same team moving me back into the new house a month later. They lifted the stress/burden of this moving experience and Troy with his team did an awesome job! Highly Recommended!!!!!

+ -1 moreWhen my husband and I decided to move to Cincinnati, we immediately began to research movers. Efficient Moving was rated high on Angie's List, and we liked the idea of using a local company, so I gave Troy a call. He responded promptly, came to the house, and gave us an estimate of the moving costs within 48 hours. When we decided to use his company, I explained the moving date was a bit vague, as we were leaving most of our furniture (and miscellaneous stuff) to keep the house staged while it was on the market (this was in August). Troy told us that was no problem and kept in touch with me while our house was on the market. When we finally got an offer on the house and had a closing date set in January, I emailed Troy to set up a moving date. He was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. Moving day arrived and his team arrived promptly on time to begin loading the truck. They used pads and protective items to ensure nothing in the house and no items were damaged. They were clean, efficient, and courteous. Once everything was loaded, they gave my husband and estimated arrival time in Cincinnati, so I was easily able to meet them at our new house - and they arrived on time from their estimate. Unloading the truck and moving our stuff into the house went quickly and smoothly. The only problem they ran into was not being able to fit our queen box springs upstairs, which was no fault of theirs. The movers were hard workers, professional, and courteous and did their jobs extremely well. The final bill ended up being about $25 less than the original estimate, and all of that was adjusted on site before the movers left. All in all, it was a great experience as it took a lot of the worry of moving to a new city out of our hands. I highly recommend Efficient Moving for anyone looking for a moving company in Columbus - they were fantastic to work with and did a great job.

Description of Work: Moved household belongings from Columbus, OH to Washington, DC, including one stop to new home and another to storage facility. Efficient worked with me to develop the estimate and to figure out best packing, moving and delivery dates. Very professional, courteous, efficient and on time. Not only that, but the packers were so skilled in packing our belongings that nothing got damaged or broken.

+ -1 moreOur experience with Troy was excellent. He was friendly, helpful, and flexible. Because of issues with our buyer's loan process, our closing date and subsequent move-in date were changed several times. Troy worked with us throughout the process and was honest when a date was not available. The move went very smoothly. While the movers did arrive about half an hour late, they gave our furniture the utmost care, padding doorways and furniture alike throughout the entire process. There was not a scratch or dent on furniture, walls, or doorways.
Description of Work: Efficient Moving moved all of our furniture and some appliances from our old house to our new house, which is approximately 10 miles away. We did not have them move boxes.

+ -1 moreOverall our experience was better than I could have imagined. I am recommending Efficient Moving to everyone I know. My only advice is to book them as soon as you know your move date. You will be disappointed if they are already committed to other people!
Description of Work: We joined Angie's List so we could check out movers. I read the reviews for Efficient Moving and I was very impressed but a little skeptical that people could really like a moving company that well. We are very picky and had some nice furniture that I wanted moved very carefully. After getting two other bids, we chose Efficient Moving for our local move from Dublin to Powell. Troy Rote is the owner of Efficient Moving. He came out to our home and made a list of all of the items we wanted moved. We decided to move the clothes and personal items ourselves. We felt very confident after meeting Troy that he would do an awesome job for us, and we weren't disappointed! We weren't sure when the current owner could move out so I couldn't give Troy an exact date to schedule our move. He was very patient and helpful in planning out the process. We had to move out one day before we could move in to the new house and Troy let us store our furniture on his trucks overnight. His crew was THE BEST! A big thanks to Sean, Mark, Tony, Doc and Ben. Move out day was unbearably hot and muggy and they were incredibly hard working, careful and courteous. They had such great attitudes and joked with each other. I have never seen people work so hard and yet be so nice while they were doing it. It made what could have been a very stressful day almost fun! We moved in to the new house two days later. Everything came through beautifully. They reassembled the beds, desk, entertainment center, etc. Some of the pieces were very heavy and a tight fit, but they worked hard to put everything where I wanted it. And they didn't complain when I asked them to rearrange one of the bedrooms when I decided the bed should go in a different place. They said it was their job! I wish my husband would be so nice! The next day I had two of the guys come back - Tony and Ben - to help me unload the pod. I just paid them through Troy by the hour. They carried twice what we could carry and actually ran up and down the basement steps - even though they were paid by the hour. I ended up paying them less to unload the pod than I paid two high school boys to load the pod because the professional movers were faster and carried more. Amazing!!! Love those guys!

+ -1 moreAfter the initial call, it took several calls before we could get in touch with Troy to schedule the date and time. Eventually, they did show up for the move. During the move, they broke a mirror and didn't apologize, and instead said that the mirror was "flimsy". They broke the cord of a painting and dropped it and didn't apologize. Overall, both men seemed to work very slowly and since we were charged by the hour this led to a large charge. A 2BR apartment took approximately 7 hours. Finally, after they had left, we found that there was a box missing. We called the owner Troy Tote and left a message regarding this, but did not receive any reply. It has been 10 days since the call and no response. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED with Efficient Moving and will NOT use them in the future.

+ -1 moreThe two movers, Ben and Mick, arrived on time as Troy had promised when I made the appointment. They were courteous and professional, following my instructions perfectly. They did something that I could never have accomplished, so I felt the fee was quite fair. I definitely would call this company again if I needed moving to be done, and I would recommend them to friends and family.
Description of Work: I needed to have my basement cleared in preparation for basement work. There were heavy items, such as a set of barbells, exercise bicycle, and fish tank stand, that needed to be moved up a flight of stairs into the garage. Everything needed to be placed in the garage so there also would be room for my car.

The company owner (Troy) called me back quickly when I inquired about service, gave me a price estimate over the phone and then wedged our job into their already-set schedule. The guys showed-up on-time and were very professional/efficient. I sincerely appreciated the fact that they were so accommodating - we would definitely recommend them and would use them again ourselves. In fact, we will use them to help us move the stuff back in when it is time!

+ -1 moreThey delivered high quality, low-cost moving services. The staff were extremely professional, hardworking, accomodating, and all of our possessions arrived without a scratch. Things were delivered in the new home in accordance with our wishes. A large mirror which seemed very problematic to move arrived and was placed where we wanted with no difficulty and no increase in the final price. Our children's rooms had everything they were supposed to have to ensure a smooth transition for them. The move could not have gone more smoothly and we could not have been happier with the outcome. The team that moved us (Sean, Tony) were unbelievably outstanding. Really, really super-awesome.... could not have done it without them!

The men who came were a pleasure to work with. They took the job seriously and yet we had a few laughs along the way. I have told many people about my experience and hope to use them the later in the month to move additional items between office and home.
Description of Work: Efficient Moving moved me from one home into a 3 bedroom house with a tight staircase. It rained all day. They sent an extra man to help it go faster. They padded and covered everything. None of my furniture was damaged in all the maneuvering The only "damage".was some smudging on the stairwell wall and it came off with a Mr. Clean magic eraser! The move included an armoire, a king sized bed, treadmill and several antique pieces of furniture. They also made a stop at a friend's home to pick up another piece of furniture.

Gave me an exact estimate and said this would not change unless I changed the items that were being moved. They delivered boxes to loan to me several days before the move. On moving day they arrived on time and were very efficient. They brought garment boxes for the clothing and even packed the closet of clothes for me. I had a few extra boxes than originally estimated which the quote told me would be $2/box and that's exactly what I paid. I could not be happier with the move and the professionalism of this company.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job! They arrived on-time, which was very important. Five guys showed-up to pack the moving trucks. They cleaned out an 11 room house in about 3 hours. They were incredibly fast and didn't break anything. Additionally, they were very polite. The employee that they sent to help with the packing also did a great job. He packed our belongs securely and labeled all of the boxes. He worked all day long and his assistance was much appreciated and needed. Once we arrived at the new location, they unloaded all of the boxes and furniture. They then rearranged the furniture to my liking, which I greatly appreciated. They placed each of the boxes in the correct rooms, which was also a big help for us. The only negative is that my Oriental rug was left behind because it was not on the list. You have to specifically mention all of the items that you want moved. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better moving experience. They did a fine job!
Description of Work: They moved us about 70 miles--from one city in Ohio to another. We used two trucks for the job. They also sent someone to help us pack our belongings.
