sSeveral days ago I called and made an appointment with this service provider for appliance repairs in my home. They told me I needed to be at home for a 4 hour window, which was difficult to arrange. Since the time period had almost expired this afternoon and I heard nothing, I called and asked when the serviceman would be coming. They claimed to have called my office earlier this afternoon and when I didn't answer -- unilaterally decided not to come to my home. Of course, since I wasn't at the office, I WAS AT HOME, I couldn't answer the phone at my office. NO ONE had said that any type of confirming call would be required. If they had, I would have given them my cell phone number which is in my pocket. This afternoon was totally wasted and the appliances still aren't repaired. WMT

This was a very good experience, I would definitely recommend Economic Appliance Service and will call them again if I have any troubles with an appliance.

We spent the amount of the service call and really didn't get anything out of it (other then a chance to do a quick sweep/clean under the stove when he had the lower portion of it opened up...) The frustrating thing is that the oven still sometimes works and sometimes doesn't...

Not sure if I'll have them do the repairs again until I get a second opinion on total cost.

They fixed it quickly and their service call fee is reasonable.

They are professionial and very fair people. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them. They are very trustworthy and won't try to cheat you. They are honest and will tell you the most cost effective way to solve the problem. For example, the last time they came to repair my washing machine, they told me it would be cheaper to replace it than the purchase the new parts. Don has been my technician the past few visits and he is very friendly and a good worker.

The repair was done for my mother and I am not sure of the details. She was happy with the results and the service technician.

The technician was polite and knowledgeable and he quickly discovered the problem and corrected it.

I would have been happier if the repair had been done completely by the first repairman but Economic was very good about promptly sending out another repairman who fixed the rest of the problem with the ice maker.

They scheduled a service call for the very next day, called before arrival and showed up promptly as planned. The serviceman was bright, energetic and professional. He diagnosed the problem in 5 seconds and fixed it within 20 minutes and I was back in business. I thought $165 was a bit expensive, but they were so fast and reliable and professional that I got over it. It was cheaper than buying a new washing machine.

Our nine year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher sounded quite different because it had developed a problem that prevented it from getting the dishes completely clean. The Economic Appliance Service representative, Jason, called before he arrived exactly on schedule. Within twenty minutes Jason had diagnosed and fixed the problem, which involved two foreign objects stuck in the impeller such that water did not circulate properly in the dishwasher. After a total of thirty minutes, the service visit was completed, and the dishwasher is now as good as new. It was a very efficient, highly successful service visit. This is the second time in the past two years we have called Economic Appliance Service to repair our dishwasher, and each time they have delivered a totally successful outcome. Their level of professionalism and quality service is unsurpased, and we will continue to call on them as new appliance issues arise.

We recently observed a problem with the performance of our nine year-old dishwasher. The dishes were not completely cleaned, and the dishwasher racks looked to be damaged. Economic Appliance was able to provide a simple solution and offered suggestions to improve the use of the dishwasher. Their service was professional from start to finish.

I was having problems with my dryer not heating up. I called them to check out the vent, which I thought might be backed up. My dryer still wasn't drying as well as it could be. It turns out that the problem was the lint that wasn't getting out of the vent. It was backing up, so they came out and cleaned it up. I was very pleased with the price. He really didn't charge me any more than he would for a basic service call. He suspected what the problem was right from the start. He checked the hoses and immediately went outside, which is when he found the problem. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional.

Next time will double check prices charged before I write a check. Also will have more accurate questions to ask if I have to ever call any repair repair company again. (too long to tell whole story). Angie's List needs to add another catergory to "would you use this company again in the future?" Please add " __ Maybe" or "__ Depends".

I called to say my refrigerator was running all the time and the noise was driving me nuts. When the repairman was there, I told him I'd already had another company check it out and they said it was within normal limits and there was nothing to be done. The refrigerator wasn't making noise when the Economic Appliance Service repairman was there, so he said it clearly wasn't running "all the time" but that replacing the cold control unit should solve the problem. He didn't have one with him and we scheduled a time for him to come back to install the part. He didn't call the afternoon of the second appointment. I left several voice mails on his cell phone, but he never responded. When I called the office, the woman who answered the phone said he was running late and would be there around 6 p.m. He never showed up. We rescheduled installation of the part. The serviceman arrived late. The new cold control unit had no effect on the noise. The owner agreed to remove the part and refund its cost. The owner arrived late. I called a few days later and requested a refund for the second (part installation) service call because they had misdiagnosed the problem and the part was never needed. The owner refused, citing my initial call when I said the refrigerator was running all the time. Based on that, he had told the repairman to replace the cold control. So if you use this company, be careful what you say in your initial call, because it will carry more weight than what the repairman sees when he inspects the unit. We had to replace the refrigerator. I wasn't happy that it cost me an extra $110 plus hanging around four times waiting for the Economic Appliance Service repairman to show up.

All went very well. The serviceman explained the problem to my husband. He had obviously been repairing machines for quite some time and was friendly and professional.

Our experience with Economic Appliance Service was 100% possitive. They were polite, accomodating, on time and best of all... fair. The repair tech determined there was nothing wrong with our dishwasher but noticed some installation issues that might have caused the leak. He recommended some quick fixes to the dishwasher and we were only charged the service call fee.

I called in am and was lucky enough to get a same day appointment. I was given time frame for arrival. He called ahead, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem in minutes, gave me a price and fixed it. He was polite, professional, and I was very happy with the result.

He was very fair and helpful and didn't charge for the visit.
