Duncan's Gutter Cleaning Service

He always does a very thorough job, best I have ever had at this job. My trees put down a lot of very small stuff so I have to clean them twice a year, and it's always a flawless job when he has been here.

He's a doll. He did gutter cleaning and gutter repairs. I would totally use him again in the future.

I contacted Duncan, he came on Monday and cleaned the gutters. Left the invoice and I mailed the check. How easy -- I love it. Have used him for YEARS.

We had paid another contractor hundreds of dollars to troubleshoot a downspout issue that they never resolved. Very well. I found Duncan to be polite, professional, and responsive. His communications were very responsive... which I appreciated a great deal. I liked that he asked questions before the service about any "trouble spots he should pay particular attention to", and he reported back what he found with while he was still on our property. This was our first time using Duncan, and we plan on using him again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him based on this first experience.

Duncan inspected my gutters because I am having water issues in the basement. He found that the gutters were in great shape and didn't need to be cleaned out, so no services were done. I appreciated his truthfulness and his suggestions on how to keep water out of the basement. He was also quick to respond after I left a voicemail. In the future, I will use him if I have gutter issues.

Duncan has great reviews on here, but I'm not sure why. Maybe I caught him at an off time... I called on Saturday morning (I think?) and he said that he would stop by either Monday or Tuesday and leave an estimate. Great. Monday, no show. Tuesday, no show. Wednesday just as we were getting home from work and about to leave for dinner, Duncan showed up. I asked him what happened to Monday and Tuesday. He said, "Oh... uh, that didn't work out." Ok, no problem. Since he's here, let's stand around for a bit and wait for him to give us an estimate before we go to dinner. He was on the roof in a hurry and as expected, the gutters were full of birds' nests. Without discussing cost to do work, he grabbed his bucket and started scooping debris. Oookay... I wasn't getting on the roof and he was up there, so I guess we'll go ahead and let him work? He said that the screens covering the gutters were in decent shape but had been pulled loose on the ends by the birds, and that he'd reattach them while he was up there. Well that in and of itself was worth any cost, in my opinion. Long-term fix, right? Wrong. A couple of days later, the birds were back in the gutters rebuilding their nests. Not only that, our downspouts had begun backing up because of the debris that was dropped down in them and NOT flushed out. Repeat - he did NOT run a hose through any of the gutters or downspouts. And while he picked up the majority of the dropped debris, enough was left on my patio that we had to clean it up ourselves to keep the dog from eating it. After clearing the downspouts ourselves, having the birds get right back in the gutters through the "reattached" screens, and for the hassle of having him show up unexpectedly, I was charged $95. Since then, my wife has asked a few times when we can hire a "real" gutter company to come out and do the job right. UPDATE: Again, I wonder if we just caught Duncan on an "off" day. After seeing my review, he graciously apologized and refunded our payment. Greatly appreciated.

Excellent. Called and left a message in the evening. Received a call from them next morning. They came out same day, did the work at a very reasonable price. Would use them again and would recommend them to others. They were very professional and friendly.

I left a message for Duncan on Sunday, not expecting a reply until at least Monday. He responded in about an hour. He looked at a picture of my house online and quoted $80. I accepted. He completed the work on Monday and only billed me $75. Good old fashioned customer service.

Duncan was extremely professional, easy to reach, and very responsive. We loved that he left a note after he cleaned to let us know the overall status of how our gutters looked. Duncan went to our house while we were gone and put up a downspout that had completely fallen down. He also secured another downspout that was loose. He left a self addressed envelope and his bill. He completed the job within a day of our original conversation.

We were so pleased to work with Duncan Campbell. After a rocky 2014 autumn when our former service was unable to perform fall cleaning due to injury/illness we had made several unsuccessful attempts to schedule a cleaning as soon as temperatures allowed this spring. We were desperate to have our gutters cleaned (ice dams over winter, concern about heavy spring rains etc.) We found Duncan's Gutter Cleaning Service on Angies list, used the "schedule service" electronic communication offered and received a response from Duncan on the same day (a Friday). He indicated he would likely be able to set up a time the following week (pending weather). Indeed, he came when there was a "window" in rainstorms and cleaned all gutters and downspouts. In addition to performing our much needed service Duncan gave us important feedback on where gutters were most clogged and also let us know that loose stones on the chimney need attention. This extra information was much appreciated as we are unable to inspect our roof. He gave a verbal report at the time of service and also gave us and a handwritten note as well as an invoice and business card for our records. In the world of gutter/downspout cleaning, timing and responsiveness are everything and Duncan is A+. He brings his own ladder and hose and checked with us beforehand to make sure that our outdoor faucet was turned on. Duncan is highly organized, professional, responsive and, overall, our best experiences with gutter servicing in decades. Thank you Duncan!

Duncan, no, you charged me $50 because I didn't have cash (you said if I had cash you would have only charged me $40), I had to pay by check.

Duncan returned my initial call promptly. He came to the house the next day and provided a free quote. He then kept in touch to properly time the cleaning since there are 2 large trees on the property and we wanted to wait until all of the leaves were down. He called the day before he came and then let me know that the work was completed. He cleaned up all of the debris and leaves he removed from the roof and gutters. He did a great job.

Duncan cleaned out gutters on my house, pointing out a few minor issues, and completing the job very quickly. He was very flexible in scheduling the appointment, and called before he arrived. He cleaned up afterwards, and there were no issues he did not address. I will definitely call on him in the future.

They did a good job. The arrived when they said they would, they were professional, and took their time w/ the work. When we lived in another city we had a company clean our gutters and they did not do as good of a job as Duncan's. Their price was also reasonable
