Downey Clean Carpet Cleaning

Very well! Pickup was prompt, cleaning was as expected, return was as requested. We are moving and Downey agreed to hold rugs a couple of weeks until we were ready for them.

Jim was on time very social and gave my wife and I tips on stains and cleaning. He was very professional and was in and out before we knew it.

First, the response time & price was great. I rated responsiveness a "D" because after I called to complain about technician, I never received a call from Downey. First, the technician was extremely inappropriate. Asked why we didn't have presents under Christmas tree, asked my husband & I what side of bed I slept on. Talked about how young his wife was compared to him, and on & on while he wasn't working. Once, I asked him to close the back door while he was talking & preparing to go outside because he was letting our heat out & he had a smart reply. He never once put on booties even after running in and out of the house several times, soiled a spot that was originally clean in our living room but, when asked, he gave us each a pair & said "there's lots more where those come from!" Instead of starting in a room less used from top to bottom, he starts downstairs & cleaned the stairs going up, walking over each wet area, then ended in the upstairs bedroom. We've used Downey before & didn't have a problem but this technician was T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E. He is probably a nice, eccentric older guy but he lost our business with Downey!!! When we called to report, the answering service took details & assured us that Downey would want to follow up with us about our complaint; however, we never heard from anyone. I was going to complain on website but let it go until this opportunity to voice our concerns came up.

They came out twice the first time the grout did not come out good in spots. A person from the company called me and said they were not happy with the result and wanted to come out again. The person they sent out the second time did a great job and the tile grout came out much cleaner. He said to wait a few days to make sure we like it and then he would return to seal the tile. Their service blew me away. Total concern for my satisfaction from everyone in the business. Will definitely use again!!!

There were a few stains from movers, got everything up. Carpets look perfect.

It worked out quite well. It is a home that I own, but I was not there at the time. It was just the $99. I would say that they were very professional. The technician called me, as well as someone from the office to follow up. They were punctual. There was a main carpet that they weren’t able to get very clean, they did call and discuss it with me so that’s the only reason for the “B”. I have no idea how many people it took, I think just one. It took probably about 2 hours.

It went well. They came out a couple times but they dud the tile and grout between two different sessions. I use to do grout and it has never looked like this bedfore, it is clean in the middle but around the perimeter iit is darker because the treatment wasn't very good.

Fantastic. We called about 4 highly rated carpet cleaning companies listed on Angies. We worked with Debbie who was great, asking questions we hadn't even thought of. She gave us a quotation that was exactly what they charged. Downey considers a room to be 300 sq ft or less. The others considered a room 250 sq ft. One of the other companies gave us a guesstimate but said we wouldn't actually know final price until they came. Another was significantly higher priced. Chris came to do the work. He called the day of service to reconfirm and showed up exactly on time. Extremely thorough and did a great job. We would hire again or recommend in a heartbeat.

I gave them a B for responsiveness because they didn't quite get here at the time I was expecting them, I thought they would be here earlier than they arrived. They did call when they said they would but, I was expecting an earlier service time. They were here when they said they would be after a phone call. It took 30 minutes for the work to be completed. One person came out to complete the service. He was okay, he was busy. He doing our entire building plus our carpets. He was professional but busy.

The work was completed in a timely manner and all carpets were cleaned and stain guarded.

They arrived promptly at the specified time and set to work on our 4 areas. The carpets were badly soiled (sick puppies) and they admitted that it would be difficult to remove the worst of the spots. We were amazed as the carpets looked much better.

They were good. They are an a we have used them before. Pricing was an A, it was a special deal. They were responsive.

I never received a heads up that he was on his way. I just happen to be looking out the window at 12:16 pm and saw the truck. I went out and found a card saying sorry we missed you ...time? 12:00pm. So I asked the tech how long has he been here. Said he just got there and was leaving cause no answer at the door. I pointed out very mild marks on carpet and was told if I didn't know what it was he may not be able to get it out. I asked about his special chemicals. He said he didn't have anything more than anyone else. I was frustrated and said please SELL me on your co. Why would I even use you?. After that I felt tech just wanted to leave. He clearly was not waiting in my driveway for over 16 minutes by his own admission. Carpet cleaning is only as good as person doing it . It took twelve hours to dry with ceiling fans going in all rooms. Received a follow up call from cust service. I called back and left a message and have still not received a call back. Better ones out there. You live and learn.

They were extremely punctual. They called me first thing this morning to let me know they'd be here at 10 am. Jim King showed up right on time and did a really good job. There were several small stains and he got them all out and just did a beautiful job.

This is the 2nd time we've hired them and they did a great job both times. With their coupon, it was very affordable, too.

Overall, the quality of the cleaning they do is better than any I have gooten from anyone else I have used. However, this time I had a terrible time getting service. Initial service which I had scheduled over a week ahead was cancelled due to weather...(understandable) but next promised service for 2 days later resulted in a no call no show. Finally after much struggle, I got someone to come 2 days later, This was especially difficult as I told the company I needed reliable service as my Christmas decorating was waiting until carpets were cleaned. The actual cleaning job when finished was exceptional so I would hire again and hope for more reliable service.

The technician was professional. The carpets looked pretty good at first, but two months later they look only okay.

I've used Downey Clean Carpet Cleaning twice now and they've done great work. They always take their time and don't rush their work. If I show them any spots that need extra attention they do try to get those spots out. They're always professional and courteous.

The serviceman arrived on time, accepted my Angie's list prepay card. He did a thorough job and the carpets looked good. My only complaint is that I noticed after the fact a small stain that was not addressed. ( I had not noticed it previously to point it out.)
