Downey Clean Carpet Cleaning

They arrived on time and paid attention to us in reviewing those portions of the carpets that were particularly soiled. Downey uses a three step rocess. They spray the entire area, use a mechanized brush, then finally a steam wand extraction. Took only about 4 hours to dry. After the carpet was dry I ran my dyson over the cleaned areas and absolutely no particles were picked up. Sometimes when a carpet is cleaned those troublesome spots reappear after a few days. Its been three weeks now and I have not seen this happen. Downey has been around for decades, probably because they do excellent work in a pleasant, courteous, neat and professional manner. Have used and recommended them before, will use them again, even if there is no Angie's deal.

I spoke with Debbie at Downey cleaning the first time. She was nice and explained the process of cleaning carpets. We agreed on a price and date. A couple of days later my wife called to confirm the appointment and the guy from Downey cleaning was out rightly rude. Not only did he refuse to honor the price agreed with Debbie, he went on to layer in additional charges. He refused to listen to us and recommended going to some other cleaners. We took his advice and urge the readers to take ours --- do yourself a favor and avoid going to Downey Cleaners -- not worth it. I would rather pay extra money to someone who treats me well.

These guys are good. The scheduling was very easy. I was planning to get the carpet cleaned before moving into our newly purchased house. The closing date was not confirmed so I had to reschedule the service few times and they never asked any question for that. As promised they come on time and done a great job in cleaning.

They were right on time and got right to work. The carpets were cleaned but they took 2 days to dry out.

It took a bit to schedule the pick up, fortunately I logged back into Angies List ot see if there was an issue, that is where i saw that they had responded within 48 hours - this wasnt Downey's fault since they responded to my request via the Angies List Web site. A suggestion is to provide the vendor with our emails or other contact informaiton so they have alternative methods for contacting us. A Downey Clean rep came to my house and picked up the 2 carpets. They stated it would take approximately a week it took 6 days. The 2 carpets were cleaned actually made the house smell good. The rep who dropped them off explained what they had to do with the larger shag carpet to get our some of the dirt (we have dogs who love to chew things on the carpet so stuff gets caught in the fibers). They did an excellent job and yes I would use them in the future.

The gentleman that arrived was polite and very efficient. He cleaned all three rooms expertly even taking extra time on some stains. I have recommend this company to my friends and family.

It looked fine at first, but about two weeks later, the same dirt/stains returned.

My experience with them was fine. There was an area that we thought would be included under the Big Deal, but it wasn't.

Service was completed on time, cost and as expected. Would use again.

Service tech was super nice. He reviewed all areas and trouble spots with me before starting. Worked quickly and efficiently. I was worried about the cleaner and special pet protection cleaner but it was a really nice, pleasant odor (smelled like clean laundry). The carpet looked brighter and all pet smells are gone!

The technician called me right at 8:00AM and said he would arrive between 11:00AM and 1:00PM. He then called at 11:30 and said he would be there in 25 minutes. He arrived on time and explained everything he was going to do and even helped me move my heavy hope chest into the bathroom. This deal did not include moving furniture but he was willing to help with this last piece I couldn't get on my own. He then started working right away on the 4 rooms. The carpets looked awesome after he was done! He said it would dry in 8-10 hours but it was dry by 5:00PM. Very good company!
