Downey Clean Carpet Cleaning

I will use this company for all future cleanings. They did a larger area for same price as other popular cleaning companies. They added stain remover and deodorizer and did a fantastic job.

He was on time, did a good job - noneventful really!

He did the work in a timely manner with little interruptions to our family life. We had moved furniture aside before his arrival We appreciated the booties that he left us to put over our shoes as there was still slightly wet areas. I would recommend their service to others. Worker was prompt, professional, efficient and courteous.

They did a good job on my carpet. It was relatively new (just under a year) and i have dogs so I do upkeep. He took about an hour to clean my stair well up stairs, my 2nd floor master room, office and hall way. I should have asked for the stairs down to the finished basement since they were pretty wet from the stairs going up to the 2nd floor. The person did not want to do my couch, and explained why. He was concerned that cleaning my theater type of couch would damage it. I told him it was micro fiber and that I had purchased it at Value city furniture. He felt that it would do more harm than good. I appreciated that, and was a bit disappointing as I really wanted that service. To be honest, If it had done damage, I would have been more p***** than happy I had it cleaned. I would use them again.

Hired Downey to clean/seal a slate shower surround and a ceramic tile floor. They should up on time and were in and out in just over an hour. The bathroom looks great! If I had attempted this myself, it would have taken the better part of a weekend. They have miracle machines. Would most certainly use them in the future.

Excellent. I called on Friday January 29 and, based on the positive comments in a recent Angie's List review, requested Mike Hoskins as the service technician. Appointment set for Monday morning. Downey Clean sent an email reminder at 8:00 a.m. on the day of service, and Mike Hoskins called 8:35 a.m. to let me know he was on the way, and arrived at 9:00 a.m. as scheduled. Mike cleaned the love-seat first and did a very good job. During the summer it was cleaned by the large carpet company with yellow trucks and they gave it a very quick once-over which didn't get any of the grime out of the arm where the dog likes to sit looking out a window. Mike from Downey Clean took the time to pre-treat the mud spots and go over all the surfaces thoroughly. It looks much better than it has looked in a long while. Thorough job on carpets also pre-treating stains. He was here about 1 1/4 hours. Cost breakdown was $10 service call; $75 carpet cleaning; $40 love-seat.

GREAT!. Ordered one of the $99 specials from Angie's list and added on some extra items. Service was completed within a few business days. We have used a couple of other companies before for similar service and Downey Clean Carpet Cleaning has been the best by far.

I went on Angie's List and read all the recent negative comments about Downey. I always do this when I am thinking of hiring a company. I often find dissatisfaction comes more from a lack of communication than anything else. So, armed with my questions, I called Downey. I asked a number of questions about what type of machinery they use (several people had complained that they used the units that can be rented at a grocery store not the truck units). I was very specific in wanting a truck unit because I believe they do a better job, and I had stairs that needed a good cleaning. After he answered all of my questions, I scheduled for them to come out Thursday between afternoon. I was told the technician would call me in the morning with a two hour window- he did. He also told me he would call me when he was on the way- he did. He arrived here at about 12:10. I showed him the areas I needed to have cleaned; he immediately told me that my family room would cost extra and due to my diligence on the phone earlier in the week I knew that it would be an extra $25.00 so I was unsurprised. I left him upstairs in the bedroom where he moved any moveable furniture- there wasn't much. He cleaned my walk in closet and another small closet in the master, did the hallway and then started working his way down the stairs. I watched as he came down the stairs and was absolutely SHOCKED at how he cleaned my steps. He cleaned each step itself, then cleaned the edge where the dirt collects very thoroughly and then he cleaned the risers on each and every step. In 25 years I have never had a carpet cleaner clean the risers on my stairs. I thought I was the only one who did that. He was so careful not to leave any dirt at the edge of the step (the last time I had someone clean my carpeting I had to go back with my small spot cleaner and get all of the dirt that settled at the edge of the step that was left behind by careless cleaning). He finally came down to the family room and spot treated the entire room. He then got some kind of agitating machine out that brushed the carpeting in both directions. He finally, carefully cleaned everywhere in the room, moving all of the furniture a piece at a time putting it back on either plastic or raised styrofoam so that nothing was going to be damaged by the moisture or damage the carpeting. He did an incredibly thorough job. He took as much time to do four rooms as other cleaning companies took to do the entire house. But, I didn't have to move the big furniture this time, he took care of that. An excellent job. If you are looking for someone to clean your carpeting, use Mike Hoskins because I will always ask for him in the future. Nice, professional young man who clearly takes pride in his work!

They did a great job. They didn't charge me more and I didn't have them do anything else.

They charged me more because I had them do extra rooms. They did great. They showed up on time and did everything they said they would. The price for doing the additional rooms was reasonable. They confirmed it with me before they did it. I called them ahead of time and said, "Hey, I've got a coupon. I'm going to need you to do more. What's it going to cost?" They confirmed it on the phone. When they showed up, they confirmed again what they were going to do. The people who came actually looked around the house and said, "Okay. We're not going to need to charge you extra for that." They were extremely professional and just did a great job. I've got nothing but praise for them. They were really good. They were wonderful. I will use them again.

He arrived on time and worked quickly. The rugs I had him clean look much better and brighter. They're old so i was doubtful how much they would clean up. I was very pleased.

It was okay but not what I expected. The carpets were cleaned with a rug doctor cleaner and no furniture was moved. I bought a "Deal" on Angie's List for $99 and, for the price, I guess I expected too much.

Matt was the technician that did the work. He did a wonderful job! The carpets look beautiful and I will definitely use Downey again! I highly recommend this company!

All expectations were met. The special did not include the moving of furniture so do what you can to expose the carpet you want cleaned ahead of time.

It was fine. They came out and they were prompt and courteous and all that.

I purchased the four areas for $99 Angie's List deal, but they only cleaned two areas. I asked them to also clean my couch, and one chair which cost another $180. All this after being five hours late for their appointment, with no apology.

I purchased a carpet clean coupon from Angie's list deals. I called for an appointment and the service tech arrived on time and ready to go. John worked diligently and appropriately. John finished up quickly and I was very satisfied with the results. John was personable, professional and friendly. I would want him back the next time. There will be a next time with Downey.

Technician showed up promptly and did a fantastic job. He cleaned our family room, dining room, stairs and hallway. He was able to remove stains from our pets and the carpet looks new again. Would highly recommend them in the future.

Called earlier and arrived earlier than scheduled time which was great! Went promptly to work after answering my questions and explaining what he would be doing. Very good experience!
