Dale was able to quickly access the situation which involved a crack in the lintel of my 100-year-old home where a car had long ago hit my house (the crack had recently opened up a bit). It was quite a relief to learn that all my house needs is to have the basement window beneath the lintel filled in with concrete block to prevent any further movement, and that the stone and mortar foundation should be rebuilt on the inside where it has begun to deteriorate beneath the window..

Absolutely fabulous. Dale was on time and ready to go. We toured the home and he pointed out things we were not used to looking for. Extremely observant. Told us the home was worth buying and was very knowledgable about some supports, how they worked, approximately how long ago they were installed and what can expect to happen in the long run.

Dale was punctual, he looked at the entire house but focused on the area that was of concern to us. He stuck around while we dug a hole to identify how bad the issue was, and once we had identified all of the variables, he wrote us up a report of what he recommended doing to fix the problem and even recommended some contractors that he thought would be ale and willing to take on the little project. Overall we were very happy with Dale's jon and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to consult a structural engineer.

We couldn't be happier after working with Dale Mickey of DLM Engineering. He was prompt to meet with us after initial contact, came prepared during our first meeting surveying the basement support and living spaces impacted taking measurements and notes. His detailed sketch and professional summary was provided promptly and allowed us to move forward quickly with our renovations and resulted in a quick permit approval from the city inspector to move forward. Where we needed a slight change to the specs, he quickly revised. He was very open to communication via phone and email to clarify any questions we had as we've never completed a project such as this. During our project we encountered a challenge requiring his advice and he kindly accepted our frantic phone call on a Sunday, although he works Monday through Friday, which was crucial to our timetable. For sound of mind we asked him to look at the rough build prior to framing which he quickly accommodated and as it was a brief visit did not charge us. We received a swift and quot;roughand quot; approval prior to drywalling, etc. from the city. Overall, we are extremely appreciative and find Dale to be worth every reasonable penny paid.

During our inital conversation, Dale explained his experience with similar situations, and very kindly scheduled the inspection within 24 hours of our initial contact to satisfy the home sale contract. He arrived on-time, performed the inspection, explained the mechanics of each area of concern, and provided a brief explaination of the required repair. On the following day, I received an electronic copy of the inspection report with a commitment to drop the original paper copy in the mail.
