We had no complaints. We drove in on a Saturday afternoon and someone came out for a couple minutes to look at the damage and we had a quote in under 5 minutes. They fixed it right then and it took less than 2 hours, car looked like brand new.
Description of Work: We had a dent on our rear bumper that the dealership said we would have to replace and cost $1,100. We took it to the dent doctor and they popped it out for $140 and in less than two hours. We also had them buff out some scrapes on our other car on the front bumper for $40. I would highly recommend and will return if I ever need this service again.

This is one of the best consumer experiences I have ever encountered. All the people involved were friendly, efficient, and professional. And, of course, the cost was only a fraction of what a full auto body repair shop would have charged for the same service. I would HIGHLY recommend Dent Doctor to others with no reservations.
Description of Work: I visited Dent Doctor to get an estimate for having a dent removed from the passenger door of my Prius v. I was given a VERY reasonable quote for the dent removal. I was informed that I could have the dent repaired immediately while I waited. The repair was completed in only 30 to 40 minutes. Upon completion of the service and my personal inspection of the car prior to payment, I could not discern where the dent had been. The work was completed flawlessly. The car looked like it had just been driven off the new car lot.

There's a reason why I keep going back to Dent Doctor for repairs. Quality work, no excuses, no unexpected costs, fair estimate and friendly people. Stopped in to have a dent repaired on the drivre's side door and, within 45 minutes was out the door. Can't tell where the old dent was. I strongly recommend Dent Doctor.

I made the appointment for first thing in the morning and when I arrived they were waiting for me. They were courteous and professional and took my car in to the shop right away. I choose to wait for it and they completed the job in less than two hours and I couldn't even tell where the dents were when they were done. A great job and would use them again.

Bad experience on the phone and in their shop. I called on two separate occasions to get information and spoke to two different people who were not pleasant on the phone - rather, very abrupt as if I was bothering them. I decided due to the close proximity of their shop to my home I would stop to get an estimate anyways on my body repair work. While I was promptly greeted and my estimate was prompt, I received the same type of cold response and rude answer when I was trying to ask a basic question. From what I understand, I was speaking to the owner while at their shop. It was not a welcoming atmosphere nor friendly.

We are very sorry for not be able to give the member a repair price over the phone without seeing the damage. There are many factors that makes the price in addition to the price of parts if needed. We tried to explain the pricing process to the member on the phone and in person. We hope you would give us the opportunity to take care of your repair needs and we assure you that we would do our best to provide you with the best possible results.

The shop isn't the nicest, or cleanest but they were courtious and friendly. The work they did on my car looks great, I can't even see where the dent was. I was hoping the price was going to be closer to $100 but I figured since it was a crease and not a dent and in a difficult location $170 was fair. They performed the work on the spot and were done within 1.5 hours. I would go there again and definitely recommend them.

My Prius had been run into from behind which did not damage to the back of the bumper, but did push the side of it out a little. I went to Dent Doctor to see if they could fix it. They said they could do it right then - it would take about 45 minutes and cost $75. Unfortunately, when they started on it, they found the bracket underneath had been broken and so the part would need to be ordered and would cost $46. I went ahead with that. They called two days later to say the part was in and I could come in anytime. I stopped by that afternoon where they fixed it 30-45 minutes. The car looks very good. The receptionist and staff were very pleasant and courteous. I would use Dent Doctor again.

So fantastic. Price was much less than the competition. Did the work on the spot in 1 hour verses having to make an appointment and leave my vehicle for the day. Also, did some touch-up, detailing spots at no charge. It has been over six months and I don't even notice the dent repair. I would and do recommend this company to everyone.

Took car to Dent Doctor as wanted a reasonable priced fix to a dent in the bumper...not interested in having the entire bumper replaced. The owner did the estimate...quick and efficient...and indicated that they could do the work while I waited. He estimated 45 minutes...it was actually a little less time than that. Bumper dent is gone and need to look closely to see paint scratched where the dent was, which was what I anticipated from the estimate. Completed the transaction quickly and efficiently.
Description of Work: Repaired a dent in the bumper. Very satisfied with the work, still has a small scratch which I was told ahead of time would still be visible. Significant improvement at having a dent in the bumper and repaired at a reasonable cost in less than an hour from estimate to completion.

There was one minor glitch. When I picked up the car, the rear bumper hadn't been repaired as requested. They fixed it while I waited in about ten minutes.
Description of Work: Don't confuse Dent Doctor with a body shop that does collision work, because it's not. Their work is confined to minor scrapes and dings. That said, consider that big company auto body, also rated A on Agnies List, wanted slightly north of $1,400 to fix the parking lot scrape on the side of my car, and one week in which to do it. Dent Doctor charged me $397 and did the work in about four hours. Their work isn't perfect, but it was more than satisfactory for me.

I took my car to Dent Doctor to have small dents and scratches removed. The man I talked to, who seemed to be in charged, and later I came to learn was the manager and owner, went with me to look at my car and said everything could be taken care of for $529.43. I told him I was from Washington Court House, Ohio and because he said it would take three hours to work on my car, I asked him if I could be dropped off at a shopping center on Henderson Road. He told me no, that the shopping center was within walking distance. There were no sidewalks and I was on the road. I had to walk through people's yards. I had on flip-flops and it was a mess. When I got to the shopping center, I went to a McDonald's and asked about a bus or cab service. I am 62 years old and have rheumatoid arthritis and know nothing about public transportation, but learned quickly. To make a long story shorter, after I found a bus, I still had to walk 5 blocks to get back to the Dent Doctor to get my car. It was still inside the bay and he said they had just finished it. I told him about my ordeal and he said to just eat a few pizzas and it would be ok. I'm not sure what that was supposed to mean because I weight 115 pounds. I noticed the next day that the dings were still on both doors, I called them back and spoke to the manager. He originally said they had fixed the dings, then went on to say that one of his workers told him he hadn't fixed them. The manager said to drive it back up and he would make it right. I drove it another hour and a half. He told me it would cost me an additional $200 to fix the dents. I explained that when he told me it would be $529.43, they would fix everything. He accused me of trying to get the work done for free. I told him that $529.43 was not my idea of free. He then pretended to be just another employee, and not the manager, saying that he would get in trouble if he did the work for free. He is a fraud, a coward, and a liar. He would not negotiate with me and would not provide me with his last name. There is something very wrong and odd about this business if the manager doesn't want to give you their last name. I told him that I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau and he then said he wouldn't finish the work. I went on to ask him if he was on Angie's List and he said no. My daughter told me that on the paperwork for the estimate it says that he is on Angie's list.

Response from DENT DOCTOR
The customer came in requesting an estimate. We went outside with her where she pointed out the driver rear quarter, driver front door, hood, and the passenger rear quarter. We listed on her estimate each panel and each dent she requested to be repaired. She authorized the repair and signed the itemized estimate. We advised her that the repair would take about 2-3 hours. She asked for the closest shopping center and she was told that it was about 1 to 2 miles away. She said she would walk just call her when the repair is completed. We finished the requested repair based on the stated estimate and called her for pickup. When she came for pickup, she was upset for the lack of sidewalks to the shopping center and she had to stop at a restaurant for a break from the walk due to a lack of sidewalks. We did not discuss her shopping trip since we have no involvement in where she shops or walks or has lunch during the repair. We asked her to inspect the repair and walked her through every panel listed and repaired. She and her husband checked out each panel that was listed on the estimate and they were satisfied with the results. After they both examined the repairs, which were to their satisfaction she signed the invoice which indicated each panel and each dent that was repaired exactly identical to the estimate. At that point she paid her bill in full and she was happy with the repair and the price. The next day we received a call from the customer saying that her passenger front door was not fixed. We replied the passenger door was never pointed out to us and we never listed it on the estimate or on the invoice and we never charged for it. She said she wants it fixed anyway. We told her to bring her car for an estimate on the remaining door and we would offer her a discount on the additional panel that she needed fixed. The customer came over a day later requesting the repair for free because she lived far away and she had to drive twice; also because we did not offer to drive her to the shopping center during the repair and she had to walk to the shopping center which was far and she did not have proper shoes on, and because she already paid us for the other dents 2 days prior. We tried to reason with the customer by letting her know that we do not drive customers around or choose their activities or the kind of shoes they should wear if they want to walk during the repair. We offered her a discount on the work but nothing would make her happy. At that point she wanted the work done at the discounted price but she was irate, very belligerent, threatening, and loud. She wrote on the estimate I will report you to the BBB, etc and you have to do the work fast and immediately. At this time, she looked up and noticed our honorable mention plaque from Angie’s List and the logo on the estimate that she signed, and she stated that she will contact Angie’s List and use any means to deface our name. This was very clear that we were not going to be able to satisfy this customer under any circumstance. I felt unsafe having her at the shop, and around my other customers and employees, so we turned the job down and asked her to kindly leave the establishment. We are very sorry for her medical condition that is mentioned in her report but we certainly have nothing to do with anything related to her personal life or what she would chose to do while we are fixing her car. We fixed her car as we were contracted to for her approval and satisfaction. We were willing to discount the additional work requested just to please her which was impossible at the time. We wish her all the best health and happiness and a stress free future.

What a great experience. I had gone to another dent shop on a whim because I was driving past it. I received an estimate of over $500. I then decided to research do some research on Angie's List before doing anything.. The Dent Doctor had great reviews so I decided to stop by there for an estimate. There estimate for comparable service was less than $200! So I decided to have another less noticeable scrap repaired - the total was still less than the other shop which had some iffy Angie's List reviews. They could do all the work now, while I waited. The work was done just a few minutes sooner than the eta they gave me. For the price I feel I definately got my money's worth.

Recommended replacing rather than repair, as this would be a more permanent solution. Priced out new part and found it to be not only better solution, but much cheaper than repair. They ordered the part and replaced it in about 1/2 hour. The owner really seems to care about customers and doing excellent work. We had a very good previous experience here a couple of years ago for a bumper dent, and had no hesitation on going back there for other work.

I have used Dent Doctor in the past for door dings for which they do a fantastic job. I have learned from this experience that they are also very good at replacing quarter panels as well.
Description of Work: They attempted to smooth out a dent on the front quarter panel. This was a medium sized dent with no creasing or paint loss. Dent doctor assured me that they would repair the dent to 85% or greater. Their 85% is approximately equal to your or my 60%. What was done to repair my car is very obvious and lumpy. It kind of resembles a dimpled golf ball. They said if I wasn't satisfied they would paint the repair but I don't really understand how painting over the lumpy repair would improve things. Update 1/7/11 After submitting my initial report the folks at Dent Doctor called me to try and figure out a way to make me happy with the repair. They decided to replace the quarter panel with an entirely new panel for no additional cost. I consider this to be going well beyond what was necessary. In retrospect I feel it may have been possible to work out an agreeable solution prior to my initial report and therefore I think it only appropriate to upgrade my initial ratings to all A's. All I can suggest now is to be vocal in what your expectations are and what exactly can be done if you are not happy with the initial repair. And do not hesitate to go here for repairs, They all but insisted that I leave there happy after initially being pretty unhappy with the repair.

A couple months later the area where the work had been done started to bubble. Rust was forming underneath. I took it back and he said it was a tough area to fix. It was the same area he advised me to NOT have completely redone a couple weeks before. He said he would put the price I paid toward the new fee of repainting the entire quarter panel (option #2). I told him I wasnt confident enough in his work to let him do this. So he said he would give me back half of my repair fee if I had it done elsewhere and brought him my receipt. Which he did. I feel this was good business and was a fair settlement, but I would advise folks to get another estimate. And, by the way, his price to completely paint and fixt the quarter panel was 50% more than where I had it done. And...the paint match is perfect and looks awesome.
Description of Work: I took my Acura MDX in for repair. There was a small (1-2") dent right above the rear wheel. The car had no other dings or dents so I wanted it fixed and Angies List gave this guy such high ratings. He gave me two options, to have the dent fixed with paintless repair (#1), or have the entire back quarter panel painted and pop the dent out (#2.) He pushed hard for option #1 since the car is black and 4 years old and didnt think I would be happy with the match. He led me to believe option #1 would be fine. I had the work done. You could still see the dent...not quite as bad, but there.

Response from DENT DOCTOR
The customer came for an estimate on January 27, 2010. We told the customer and indicated in the estimate that the dent will fix but the touch up paint on the rusted area will be at 60%. We provided her with 2 estimates. Dent repair for 140 + 15 touchup, or 475 for regular body work with paint. We also mentioned to her if she did not like the result of the touch up and wanted to do the full paint job that we would apply full credit of the 155 towered the 475. We performed the work and it came out exactly as described. The customer inspected the car, and she was perfectly ok with the job and did not feel there would be any reason to do full paint work. A few days later we received a call from the customer saying that her husband is not happy with the touchup paint. We gave her the full paint option again and told her that she has 30 days to make a decision. Nine months later the customer came to the shop stating that she still does not like the touchup paint and that she is concerned that the touchup paint area will rust. We explained to her that metal covered with paint will not rust. It would only rust if it was exposed. We brought the car in anyway and reinforced the touch up paint for free. She mentioned that she is going to take it to a body shop for a full paint job. We told her that she may choose where to go. Although, we have no obligation due to the fact that she waited for 9 months, we still offered to refund her 50% of what she paid upon presenting an invoice from any repair facility of her choice. A week later the customer showed up with an invoice from a body shop in the amount of 375. She was not charged for body work since we had already fixed the dent and that is why she did not have to pay the full 475. We granted the customer a refund of 50% of the total charge exactly as promised. We took into consideration the customer’s limited budget and over looked the great lapse of time in order to do our best to please our customer. We believe that we accommodated the customer’s needs and handled her situation correctly. We take pride in achieving customer satisfaction, and will continue with the highest standards that we are known to provide.

They were very courteous with no pressure. They explained how they could fix the car without having to do any repainting (a big plus for long term paint matching and much better wear). Their quote was significantly less than the competition and an auto dealer repair shop. They said it would be done in 3 hours and it was a bit less. Staff was very personable and work was excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called first, and they told me to come right in. They took my car right away after giving me an estimate on the time and the amount. When it was completed, they took me back to check it. Both the amount of time and the price were what they told me it would be. Although up close, you can tell the paint is touched up, which is to be expected, I was extremely pleased that it looked so good and the dinged metal was perfectly back where it should be.
Description of Work: They fixed a small ding on the fender of my car and touched up the chipped paint.
