I gave them a B on Responsiveness and Punctuality just because it was hard to get a start date for the project from them as the project before mine had some "unexpexteds" in it. Once they got here and started all was great! They offered creative suggestions and the finished product is outstanding. I love it!!l

We felt very pressured by them to redo the whole floor, which we could not afford.The service went well other than some issues with promptness.

Never returned my calls.....moved on.

Brian and Christine Davey own Davey Tile and do the work themselves. This is exactly the kind of company that we were looking for - a specialized skill, no employees and no contractors. We talked with three tile installers about this backsplash job in our kitchen. Brian and Christine were by far the most knowledgable of the three. It was clear that they know their stuff from the minute they sized up our kitchen backsplash job. Their quote for the work was in line with the other two installers. They were clear about what work they would do, what materials they would supply, and what materials we needed to buy ourselves, including specific and helpful suggestions about what would work and where to buy the materials. They did the job in the time frame that we agreed on. The gave great ideas about how to make the best use of the materials. They paid close attention to the details, were careful about our newly installed counter tops, were neat and cleaned up after themselves, and finished the job completely before leaving. They are also very nice people. We felt that we could trust them in our home. We highly recommend Brian and Christine Davey.

Brian and Chris Davey not only did a superb job from start to finish on the installation, they are really lovely people. We had to special order the heating mat and floor board and Brian was very good about answering my questions. The really know what they're doing and worked very quickly once all the materials came in.

Quick estimate, performed work on our schedule. Installed a fireplace glass tile surround and hearth.

The Davey's are extremely nice and knowledgeable. They told us up front that they were booked a couple of months out. When they called to schedule we were headed out of town. The first time they were scheduled Mr. Davey had a health issue, which is totally understandable. They had to move it back another couple of weeks to finish other projects. Once they came the job went very smoothly and looks awesome. They do not start very early, showing up between 11:00 and 12:00 each day. We are very happy with the end result. If you are patient and and not in a hurry we would definitely recommend them.

We had scheduling issues which may have been related to the size of my job. A couple of no shows during the process. However, the work they did was excellent. I am very pleased with the work. Also they recommended some reasonably priced products that will help clean and keep clean my tile surfaces in my house. I would use them again but be very clear on timing of appointments.

I spent $1500 on that work. They were outstanding. Their ideas were good, they were professional, clean, neat and I would definitely use them again. They had ideas for design as well and so it was not just doing the work.

Excellent experience. Brian and Chris went above and beyond, responding same day to my call (on a sunday no less), coming out, providing an estimate and beginning work the following day. Work was completed quickly and looks great. Would absolutely use them again in the future and recommend them highly.

We got to know about them through Angie?s list. I always use them. They do superb work. They are a family business and take a lot of pride in what they do. I rate them high overall and recommend them to others.

The experience was wonderful. They were both very helpful and truly a great team. Provided their insight and experience that really helped us decide what we wanted and needed to do given our situation. Were very responsive, timely, cost-effective, professional and their end product turned out great. We love it.

I tried to seal the bath tile grouts and that did not go well. I called Davey's to fix what I did and regrout the tiles. They showed up within 1/2 hour and provided estimates, did what I asked for. Great job and nice people.

The end result is a beautiful wallsplash that I am completely satisfied with. The work was done on schedule and on budget. Their commitment to quality is paramount. It was a bit of a challenge to get the estimate scheduled but I was motivated to be flexible because of their high ratings. Once the estimate was done, the rest of the process was very smooth. I would definitely use them again and recommend them very highly.

I've used them before and this experience was just as good as the first. Brian and Chris do excellent work with top notch quality. They were able to squeeze us in earlier then they originally expected as some of their other work was delayed for reasons out of their control. As before, they had suggestions on how to lay out the tile that would work with my old house (and wavy floors). They do tend to work later hours, starting mid to late morning and working until early evening, but its not an issue for me. Overall they are good people that I am happy to do business with.

Absolutely Fabulous! Brian and Chris came over the night we initially called in order to provide us with an estimate. They worked with us extensively on determining the right design - we wanted to make sure we used design elements to define the entry area - they provided ideas which we ultimately factored into our design. They were on time, on schedule and listened to our concerns - even when we decided to make some changes in the middle (which probably caused more work for them). They were flexible and professional. They cleaned up after themselves every day and finished in the time frame they initially stated. We couldn't be happier...My husband is a Mechanical Engineer and doesn't feel confident about most providers - the Daveys changed his mind - we are already working to schedule the retiling of our bathroom with these folks. No one else will do.

I had brand new hardwood floors & asked that they take precautions to protect the flooring & their response was we'll do our best. They put some plastic down & only relied on the cardboard I had in place. When I would suggest taking additional measures to protect the floor it was met with resistance & assurance the floor would be fine. After they left I discovered countless dents scratches and impressions. They would constantly tell me I had no foresight by not having the tile installed first rather than making the effort to protect it. I wonder how they address a bathroom or kitchen remodel where they are coming into a house with existing finishes. I also had a difficult time getting them to show up on any sort of schedule. They would tell me that after a certain date they were dedicated to my job and wouldn't leave until it was finished...however, on multiple occasions they would not show up & go to another job site...even after paying them a draw against the job. Davey tile's typical daily work schedule was a 12:00 to 1:00 arrival and a common departure time between 3:30 and 4:30 despite my trying to get them there as early 9:00 am and stay till 4:00 or 5:00. The average work week consisted of 15 and occasionally 20 hours. Cleanliness was really an issue for me. After asking them not to dump the old tile cement, grout and cutting waste water in my landscaping and newly seeded yard they still did. I also found hand prints with grout on my freshly painted walls and trim...not to mention dings in the brand new wood trim from leaning tile against it. After they were "finished" they only packed up their tools and removed two small bags of trash. I had to remove from the second and first floor all of the scrap tile, cement bags, grout buckets and bags...there was so much garbage it took me three hours to clean it up and wipe down all of the floors doors and trim from all of the cutting splatter! After weeks of incredibly slow progress I explained my frustration and desire to complete the project. This request was met with a combative and hostile attitude; informing me that they were not going to finish the entire bid project. At this point the two small bathrooms had taken 2.5+ months and I was blamed for making changes...I never made a single change from the original design. From this point forward I encountered yelling, statements such as "he has no foresight", "I wish I had a gun", "I'm about to beat someone's a**" and "I'm going to do something for you...I'm gonna say a prayer for you". I was also informed by other contractors that they would go on and on saying I didn't know what I was doing. BTW, i though I was hiring experts in the field! I'm convinced the reason they left the job is because they didn't want to honor their written quote on the whole job: they completed the expensive work first and quit out of laziness.They tried to disputed until I showed them their own quote., butt hen they were gone...& left a huge mess.

Overall it went very well. Davey Tile does not lack attention to detail. The quality and care which they put into the job was truly outstanding. If we ever have to tile again, they will most certainly be hired.

Brian and Chris came out to provide an estimate the same day that I called them. The estimate was detailed and they took the extra time to explain to me what was recommended and why. The price was very good and they offered us the flexibility to purchase our tile (or even other supplies) where we wanted. They were able to start and complete the work quickly, which was very important to us. We could not have been happier with their work and the final product. In addition, Brian and Chris were just great people to have around the house. We found them to be very friendly and hard working. They took care to protect our floors from the winter snow/ice and even made us aware of some existing issues with our sub-floor so that we could complete some needed repairs. They definitely went above and beyond to help our family out and I would recommend them to anyone that has a tiling project. We have other tiling projects in our future and we will definitely call them back.

EXCELLENT! I called Brian Davey in the afternoon to make a appointment for estimate, Chris & Brian came out that evening. They gave us good suggestions where to get the tile. Once we ordered the tile I called Brian and they took if from that point. Because we ordered specialized tile it took longer for the tiles to come in. Brian followed up with the tile store. Finally when the tile arrived and installed the tile. We are very please with the work they did. Brian and Chris accommodated our time. They were great to work with, they made you feel the customer was important. They took pride in their work. I would highly recommend. Thank you again Brian & Chris

It went very well. Very happy with their work ethic, attention to detail, communication and professionalism. They kept the work area clean and were careful straighten up each day. Brian gave advice on grout colors and options for the install. Chris did the install with care-she's meticulous. I supplied the materials (they recommended Hamilton Parker in Columbus for supplies if I needed them-most I picked up at Menard's). I would hire them again.

They came out when they said they would. They gave me a more detailed quote then other companies. They were significantly higher than the company that I went with.

I'm a real disciplinarian and I think they did it right. They were methodical. They were not disruptive. They were courteous.

I'm bummed that he never called to say he wasn't going to make it.
