Davey Tile

Could not have gone better. They showed up the day after I called for an estimate. We talked through some options and it turned out they had a opening in their schedule and were able to start Wednesday and finish Friday. My wife and I were considering to try it ourselves but the quote was so reasonable that we hired them on the spot. So glad we did because the job turned out great and we could not match their attention to detail.

Brian and Chris made repairs to a tile job I paid a contractor to do 6 months ago that was part a fairly extensive remodel. I was extremely unhappy about the contractors work and knew I would never call him back to try to rectify his carelessness. The Davey's (re)work of my tile mess was completed in a remarkably clean, accurate, timely manner. When they came for the estimate they listened to what I was unhappy about and what my expectations were for improving the existing work. They made suggestions as to how the tile job could be improved or re-done, how long and how much it would be then showed me an impressive collection of their own work. I could not give a high enough recommendation to Davey Tile and wish I?d known about them before my kitchen and bath tile was completed by my contractor. They are professional, knowledgeable crafts-people and pretty entertaining!

We called Davey Tile because they did our daughter's backsplash and it was great. They did both our backsplash and fireplace. I took pictures to post because both the backsplash and fireplace came out so great looking but don't see a way to post them.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work preformed by the Davey"s. From start to finish it was a pleasure. Very willing to listen to our ideas and offer ways to accomplish the finished look we wanted. They promised two day completion and did so. I agree with some of the other reviews and cannot see how you could go wrong using Davey Tile.

I could not be happier with the Daveys. From start to finish, from the first phone call to cleaning up they were outstanding. Not only were they responsive and professional, but they provide ideas, connect you with designers at Hamilton Parker AND pass on the discount they get on tile. Their work is outstanding and you will not find two nicer people. They were even great with my 18 month, excitable Golden Retriever. Can't recommend them highly enough.

they kept everything clean, did the tile in a couple of hours, came back the next morning to grout and even found the grout that I wanted and couldn't find...fabulous job!

Davey Tile came out and installed around 42 sq. ft. of stone tile as back splash in our kitchen. There were several outlets and two windows to go around, requiring quite a few cuts. They were very professional and worked efficiently to get the tile all set in the first day, and the grout done the next day. They also gave us several helpful tips on sealing and maintaining the tile. We couldn't be happier with the results and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Everything went well from the beginning. I called and left a message and Brian called back the same day and was able to come out the following day to measure and calculate the amount of tiles needed. Since we knocked down a wall between our kitchen and dining room to double the size of our kitchen, we had a lot of area to cover. When Brian told me the labor cost was only $800, I was stunned that it was that low. We agreed on a date for the install. Brian called me the Sunday prior to confirm we were still on and told me they would arrive around 9:30. They arrived on time and started into working. A couple of times they offered options about how I would like them to handle tricky spots. By the end of the day all the tile was up and things looked fantastic! All day long as they cut pieces in the garage and carried them in, they had to step on a wobbly tile from where I had tiled the entry landing years ago. Chris told me if I swept up the loose grout in that area, she would reset the loose tile when they came back the next day to grout (she also ended up re-grouting that whole area and it looks great too). Overall, we were thrilled with the quality of service and the price. We have been recommending them ever since.

I had some tiles on my floor, and they also took those up and put new ones down. They re-did my laundry room and part of the entrance to my front door. They?re very good.

They were very punctual and speedy! They did a wonderful job! The backsplash looks amazing!

Chris and Brian did a fantastic job on the backsplash! I was amazed and pleased at how flexible they were after our tile delivery was delayed by one day at Pro Source from Monday to Tuesday. Not wanting to get behind schedule, they came to work on my backsplash on Tuesday from 3:00p until 8:00p AFTER a full day of working for another customer. Despite it being a long day, they were courteous, friendly, hardworking, and motivated. They returned on Thursday evening to complete the job, again after a full day with another customer. They were down-to-earth and hardworking, and it was refreshing to watch a husband/wife team work together so respectfully. Why do they deserve a grade of "A?" The final cost matched the estimate Brian provided. The final product is beautiful. They cleaned up after themselves, both in the kitchen and in the garage. They were great about communicating their arrival time. They didn't waste time, but they also didn't rush. They definitely paid attention to detail. It wasn't at all uncomfortable to have them in my home. They were great with my dog. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Davey Tile to others. It was a terrific experience.

The Davey's were very nice and flexible to work with. My wife ordered a special natural stone that had a great deal of variation in the color. The Davey's did an excellent job of blending in the varied colors. They had to come back several times to do the job because we sent the tile back to try and get the stone to match. The tile was ordered by us and the Davey's were not responsible for the material. We hired them for the labor only. They were very patient and understanding. I would definitely use them again. The backsplash material was marble. They gave my wife several suggestions that enhanced our finished product.

This was by far one of the BEST Angie's List experiences we have ever had. Two of the nicest people ever and their workmanship and attention to detail were incredible. They were very good at communicating from day one. They came out to our house to talk about the project, make suggestions and give us an estimate. We worked through design options and finally landed on something perfect. They showed up on time ( early) for every appointment, did all work as promised, and the results were better than we even expected. I would highly recommend Davey Tile for your kitchen backsplash work. We are very happy and our kitchen looks better than ever!

Brian & Chris did an outstanding job!, we couldn't be happier! They installed subway tile and glass tile in separate areas of our kitchen and both look great. They arrived on time, cleaned up when finished and made sure that we were satisfied when the job was completed. We had the old tile removed by another company and new counters installed prior to the backplash installation by Davey Tile. Brian and Chris had to redo some of the drywall work in order to get the new tile to lay flat. They also picked up additional tile for us as we did have enough end pieces on hand. I highly recommend Davey Tile. They will be my first and only call if I need tile installation in the future.

They were awesome! I provided the tile, they provided thinset and grout. The job was done quickly and perfectly. They took the time to ensure our light fixture wouldn't see any installation issues (we needed an outlet box inside wall) before tiling around it. After the job was complete we realized our light fixture was not centered. This was completely our fault. We had to remove 6 tiles to move the wiring over and without hesitation, Brian & his wife came back after a job the next day to redo the tile in this area. We will definitely be using them again for future projects. Friendly, respectful and careful workers.

Brian and Chris were punctual and work was meticulous. Project was finished on time, as promised. The backsplash looks wonderful! They were able to beautifully cut the tile to fit around detailed woodwork. They took outlet covers off and replaced them without being asked to do so. They cleaned up after job was over, including taking all scrap tile and leftover grout. Brian and Chris were very nice to work with.

Someone else had put in the backsplash and did it wrong, so it had to all be torn out. Davey came in and did it right. It was his wife that did the work. I think it's because of his illness he doesn't do as much of the hard work. He might do the cutting of the pieces while she was putting things in place and setting the pattern. They are very reliable. They told me that I didn't have as good of quality waterproofing sealer as they would like to use, so they returned what I had purchased at a tile place way over in Hilliard as a service. They did that as a service and got the good stuff for me. They were good people. They went right to work and got it done. They even came out on a Sunday and finished up. He was trying to get it finished up for me before Thanksgiving. I think he has a lot of health issues, at least that is my impression, and so he has a lot of doctors appointments. So they need to do some work to keep afloat.

We were very happy with the work. Brian and his wife were punctual and did a superb job. They were busy and we had trouble scheduling right away, but we figured that was a good sign. They came over first and looked at our space and estimated how much subway tile we would need and what kind of grout etc. and we purchased the materials before they did the installation. Our backsplash looks great! We used a slightly darker gray grout and the lines are very straight and professional and they did a great job of blending the tile up to the cabinets so it looks like it went behind the cabinets. We had to pay a little extra for Brian's brother, an electrician, to move an outlet on the day of the installation, but we were happy to have the entire project completed in one (long) day. We would definitely recommend Davey tile for your kitchen backsplashing needs!

They met us at twice at Hamilton-Parker to pick out the tile with accent inserts. They really steered me in the right direction on what would be best for my kitchen that I would love. They were right! They did a beautiful job on the work and were pleasant to work with.(Price of the tile & grout was included in the cost of service, above.) They picked-up the tile at Hamilton-Parker after it was received. They installed the tile one day, then came back the next day (spent 1/2 day) to finish the job. We removed a little haze a few days later as they directed. We opted for the better colorfast grout.

They seemed super flakey, and when they finally showed up to look at the job, they were 20 minutes late. Ultimately, they never showed up to do the work and never called. When they came out to provide the estimate, they did lead me to an excellent cleaning product for my grout.

They did an excellent job. They are a great company. They were very quick. They made it easy to understand and were very helpful.

The Davey's replaced our entryway and kitchen tile floor. We ran I to several problems with the removal, fiber rock under the cabinets, dry rotted sub floor. But with that they replaced it all and did a fantastic job. It looks amazing and would definitely recommend them.

They were prompt and professional, cleaned up thoroughly, did some additional grouting as well. They utilized a higher quality grout that does not require sealing. We were very pleased, and we will use them again if we need tile work.

I called Davey Tile to get an estimate on installing tile for my kitchen backsplash and it worked out that they came the same day I called. They left an estimate and explained the work, and followed up with an email copy of the estimate. I changed my mind about the tile I wanted to use, not a problem for them since it was not purchased yet, and we scheduled a date quickly and conveniently. Chris and Brian showed up when they said they would, worked efficiently, cleaned up and even took the trash boxes with them. I am impressed with the quality and the fact that both wanted to do the best job possible. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend them to others.
