Description of Work: I have rented a water filtering system from this company for the last 5 years. (approximately $25/month) Each year the service tech would come to change the filters and test the water. The previous owner of the house left the unit in the house and I was billed by Culligan and I kept the system. I had the Water Filter Tech out to change the filters in June and told him I would be selling the house. He said OK than we will change all the filters and ready the system for the new owner. Now the company continues to harass me (after I have moved out) and said I still owe them $s. Their tech didn't not say we need to remove it and re-rent it to the new owners. I talked to Beverly several times at the company and last time she said everything has been taken care of and she saw where the tech was out. I received a bill today for a new contract!!! The new management seems unscrupulous -stay away from this ruthless company.

+ -1 moreInstallation went well, the removal of the old equipment took 4 weeks and numerous phone calls. It has now been 4 months with no followup, no one to check on my satisifaction or to validate that the system is working as it should!
Description of Work: Had them install a complete system, contact tank, whole house carbon filter, softener and 2 RO systems.

+ -1 moreI'm very happy with them. It took nearly a week before he came back to install it. I understand that was necessary. The older man who put it in was just like Santa Claus and I wish I could have kept him. I was very happy with them. They didn't try to upgrade me. They didn't try to sell me. It was my idea to buy a new one. We talked about different sizes of units. They are very, very helpful.
Description of Work: They installed a new water softener. My water softener had died. I called them and they had a gentleman out late in the day that day, after I got off work. He told me what was wrong with it and said they could fix it for $500. But I said it was a 19 year old unit and how much would a new one cost.

Description of Work: |Our old water softener died, so I had the Culligan man check it out. We opted for a new one rather than to repair a 21 year old model. The installer was prompt, professional, and friendly. After the install, but before he left, there was a slow drip; the installer returned to his office for a new part, installed it, and all was well. Cleanup was good. We're happy.

Description of Work: I needed to have a new water softener. After doing a lot of research on the various companies and places like Sears I decided upon Culligan. The installer was on time, finished ahead of time and made sure I understand how it works. Work area was cleaned well when job was done and he hauled away the old material with no additional charge. The sales person was highly knowledgable and did extensive testing to give me a complete understanding of water from various sources (filtered, refrigerator water, non filtered) with several tests. I was very pleased with the overall process and would recommend this team again. I would suggest you do your homework so as not to buy gadetry that you may not need.

+ -1 moreWe definitley got taken advantage of. When we had another professional company come in they told me I was getting ripped off and that all I needed was reverse osmosis and water softener. No our water is so much better, and the water pressure is better too. They never made the billing clear either. The whole situation was very unfair to us.
Description of Work: Our water had a smell in it and they led me to believe that they could fix it all. I had to buy an extra holding tank that was $500. They hooked up a bleaching system to get the smell out and then a carbon filter to remove bleach. They also said that we had red iron in our water, so we paid extra to get the red iron out. After all of this was installed a month went by and the smell came back. Our water pressure was horrible.

+ -1 moreDuring their last visit, they charged $160, most of which was for filter replacement. Otherwise, they are really reasonable when it comes to labor charges. They are due to do the service again, but we have to call them. We will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We use Culligan for water softening. The last time they came out was a year ago, for servicing.

Description of Work: Several weeks before this incident we had a serviceman out to check the softener and the softener had not worked since that visit. The water softener does not work as indicated to us by not using any salt. We had difficulty getting service man to check it out as it was not working. We emailed the Culligan cooperate office and finally got a service man on 3 Oct. 06. He stated it needed a part that would have to be ordered. He stated it would take about two weeks. On 17 Oct., we called to check on the part as we had not heard from them. The person answering phone said it had not come in yet. We called again this AM (30 Oct) and were told the part would cost over $100 and they had to order a certain number and "the boss had not decided what to do about it." The "boss" was not in today.

+ -1 moreWE PURCHASED A HOME WITH AN UNLABELED WATER SOFTENER THAT REQUIRED SERVICE. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT A CULLIGAN SYSTEM, THIS CULLIGAN OFFICE AGREED TO SERVICE THE UNIT AND SUCCESSFULLY RESTORED IT TO OPERATION. WE HAVE PURCHASED OUR SALT FROM THEM EVER SINCE IN THEIR SATURDAY SALT SALE THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH. THE SERVICEMAN DID NOT TRY TO "SELL ME UP" ON THEIR SYSTEM, AND WAS FRANK WITH ME ABOUT HOW OFTEN ITEM REQUIRE SERVICE (NOT AS OFTEN AS THE MATERIALS SAY.) I APPRECIATE DEALING WITH AN HONEST SUPPLIER.

+ -1 moreI CALLED ON A FRIDAY AND THE PERSON I SPOKE TO ON THE PHONE SAID IT WOULD BE A WEEK BEFORE A TECHNICIAN WOULD BE AVAILABLE. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD CONTACT ME THE FOLLOWING MONDAY TO SET UP THE APPOINTMENT. BY WEDNESDAY I HAD NOT RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I CALLED THEM AND THEY REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DEALER. I ASKED WHY THEY HADN'T HAD THE COURTESY TO CALL ME BACK AND TELL ME THIS AND I GOT NO ANSWER. OVERALL CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE. OBVIOUSLY THEY DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING THESE PEOPLE.
