The carpet installer was very courteous, but installation ability was poor. The door seams were not straight, and fibers were easily pulled up from those seams. He didn't lay the same thickness padding that was in the bedrooms. A chunk of carpet was missing in a doorway of a bedroom. He didn't vacuum when finished, thus making it difficult to see all of these mistakes (scattered fibers, pieces of padding, spread over the hall and stairs). The company responded by sending an inspector to my home. He determined the carpet and padding needed replaced due to installer error. I finally received a call to schedule another day for Cover-All to fix their mistake. The 4th day that I set aside to have them replace the carpet, the new installer showed at 3:30 (window of 1-3PM), and after 30 mins. decided he did not feel comfortable doing the job and left. I spoke with Mike (Mgr.), and he was very combative and rude. I decided to end my relationship with Cover-All and find a skilled installer.
Description of Work: This company (sub contractor for Home Depot) was to replace carpet in a hallway and stairway, approximately 25 sq. yds. of carpet. There were four bedrooms that would need seamed together. A bathroom and laundry room were also part of the mix.

WE PURCHASED OUR CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT AND LATER FOUND OUT THAT THIS COMPANY WOULD BE INSTALLING IT. WHEN I CALLED THEM TO SCHEDULE, THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR OVER 20 MINS. THEY SCHEDULED ME FOR THE NEXT DAY FROM 8AM-11AM. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE MORNING OFF TO BE THERE WHILE THE CARPET WAS BEING INSTALLED AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. AFTER CALLING TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY WERE, HE WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 30 MINS AND HAD TO CALL AGAIN, THEY CLAIM HE WAS DISCONNECTED. AFTER BEING PUT ON HOLD AGAIN FOR 10 MINS, A MANAGER ANSWERED AND SAID WE WERE ON THE SCHEDULE, AND HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED, AND THAT WE WOULD NEED TO RESCHEDULE. WE TOLD HIM THAT WE COULDN'T, IT TOOK HIM UNTIL 1:30PM TO GET SOMEONE TO OUR HOUSE. HE NEVER APOLOGIZED OR TOLD US WHAT HAD HAPPENED. WE FOUND OUT LATER THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOAD OUR CARPET ON THE TRUCK, HAD NO INTENTION OF INSTALLING OUR CARPET THAT DAY, WEREN'T GOING TO CALL US TO TELL US, HAD TO CALL IN ANOTHER TEAM FROM HOME TO PICK UP THE CARPET, AND THEN COM
Description of Work: THEY WORK THROUGH HOME DEPOT TO INSTALL CARPET. THEY INSTALLED CARPET IN OUR BASEMENT.
