Continental Blinds

Responded quickly but they don't handle repairs unless it's on a blind they sold. She said if I bring it in to the shop they would look it over and tell me if they would do it anyway. I decided to buy new instead of repair.

This was the most pleasant experience we have had with a contractor/service provider in quite some time. From the first call to the installation, everyone was professional, considerate, and timely. David, the owner, was aware of other deals out there and made sure that his bid was competitive. The business has an answering service so that when you call you always speak to someone. This was surprising and amazing. No one does this anymore. All messages I left were returned the next business day. I would recommend them to everyone.

It went well. I was happy with the job.

Very well. The blinds in one of the rooms came in the wrong size but Continental immediately reordered them and got them in within a week or so. Although this was an inconvenience, it was handled very professionally and responsively.

I only used them once, I started to use them twice. The first time was quite lovely, not so much the second time. The first time they cleaned our mini blinds, we have a lot of windows. I used to clean them myself. We have 65 windows in my house. After the first time I would have said yes to using them again and then I tried to.

Excellent. We originally called for replacement parts and repair, however when they came out they discovered that the design of the headrail had changed since we bought our blinds and the parts were no longer available. David, the owner, contacted Hunter Douglas and was able to get us a new headrail under warranty. Isaac and Matt were early and efficiently installed the headrail and replaced the verticals. Everyone we dealt with at this company was pleasant and professional. We especially appreciated their service as we purchased the blinds at The Andersons which are now out of business.

Very well. I delivered the shades to them for cleaning. They did the work and came to house to rehang. Also replaced a couple of minor parts.

I would recommend Continental Blinds and the Hunter Douglas brand to everyone. Continental's staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional. One blind did not fit properly. Continental got right on it. Between Continental and Hunter Douglas the replacement was here in less than a week. Great job!!

He arrived on time and was quite knowledgeable about the blind and had the piece to fix it. Would definitely call again.

Our experience with Continental Blinds was great. David came to take the measurements, and Isaac installed the blinds. We were provided with shades to temporarily cover our master bedroom windows so we could have some privacy until the new blinds arrived. Ann was very professional on the phone, and she sent email confirmations of both the measurement and installation appointments, complete with picture IDs of the Continental employees who would be doing the work.

Showed up on time and very quietly and professionally restrung the blind. Cleaned up and left with us having a like new blind. This is a good company and have used them before and will use again.

Everything went well. Very nice and prompt. The whole service went perfectly. I was very pleased and would use them again.

David arrived on time and went through everything. He measured and gave me an estimate. I had estimates from three others for the blinds. I went to their show room because I wanted to see the remote for the window in one bedroom and talked with Ann. David came back out again to do a final measure and because I had changed my mind on colors and a few other things. He gave me another estimate. I signed the agreement on March 24 and on April 2 Isaac came out to hang them. He was very helpful and informative. Everyone was very kind and answered all my questions. My blinds are lovely and I really like the remote blind in my bathroom.

This is the nicest company to deal with! I was really upset when I first observed that after spending over $2000. for shutters, I could no longer tilt my windows inward to clean them. I called Continental and they came out within a couple days. They verified the problem and, after careful consideration, determined that using a different style hanging strip would likely correct the problem. When the new hanging strips arrived, they scheduled a time to come over and take down the shutters and reinstall them with the new hanging strips. The new hanging strips corrected the problem with tilting the window for cleaning, but left a small gap when the shutters closed. Without my having to point out that this wasn't the way I wanted my custom shutters to look, Dave (from Continental) had already decided to order 4 new shutter panels that would correct the gap problem. It wasn't a big gap, just a bit more than you'd want with a custom shutter. I'm sure some companies would have called the problem "fixed" at that point and charged me extra if I wanted a better fitting shutter. When the new panels arrived, Continental once again scheduled a time to come out and reinstall the shutters with the new panels. This fixed the problem and I am very happy with the results. The windows (in my living room and dining room) look just the way you'd want custom shutters to look. Continental wound up replacing all the hanging strips and half the shutter panels. They were very nice about it and always made sure their numerous visits were scheduled at times good for me. All of this was done at no additional charge. I've found a number of really exceptional companies--like Continental Blinds--through Angies List. It's such a pleasure to work with these companies and know that their work will be done well and if something should ever go wrong, it can be taken care of in a very professional and pleasant manner. The work was done on time, and done well. We had used them once before for another shade where this happened. In the past, we had them come out and get the shade, and then reinstall it. This time, we just took it to their shop directly to avoid the cost of the delivery and installation fee.

Excellent service all around. First, they helped size and determine the best kind of shade needed for my front porch. The setting sun was so intense last summer that sitting on the porch was uncomfortable. Once the shades were picked, within a few weeks they were installed. Nice quality shades and nicely installed. The color and system works great. There's a unique string system to raise and lower the shades too. Next summer, I may add even more shades and would definitely work with them again.

Very honest folks. Took blind in to be re-strung expecting to pay. They covered it under Hunter Douglass warranty no questions asked. They easily could have chaged me and received warranty credit. I trust these very pleasant folks.

Blinds in good shape but some cords no longer worked properly. Fixed 6 blinds all but one were covered under warranty. Great service!

, We purchased a Pella sliding door with the mini-blind located between the two panes of glass several years ago. I broke one of the cords that operates the blind on one side of the door. I called Pella's service department, went to Pella's store trying to get them to repair my blind. They refused, saying, the door was too old, they didn't make parts for it anymore. I explained we didn't need parts, only a cord. After several months of going back and forth with them, I called Continental and they came to the rescue. I only wish I had called them sooner. I will keep Continental in mind for any project involving window treatments.

They were terrific from beginning to end. Ann Ferguson, who I worked with - was a delight. Very professional - offered great advice. She found some plastic clips for me, because some of my broke when the painter I had took them down. She also found a working wand. One of my wands was broken. All of that portion was free. Great customer service - Gave me the 10% Angie's List discount and another 3% for paying by check. Great family owned business!

They completed the job in the time frame they said they would. They did a really good job.

This was one of the best services we have used for our home so far! We purchased our home 2 years ago and it's a 16 year old M/I home. All of the homes in our neighborhood have the same white, 2" faux wood blinds. I am not sure that everyone's were as dirty as ours were though. It was awful. The home was a mess to begin with when we bought it - so we've been cleaning for 2 years. But the blinds were impossible to really get clean. I found Continental on Angie's List and the reviews are awesome. I thought it would be worth a shot and it's still cheaper than new window treatments for 20 windows.... We opted to take the blinds down ourselves and drop them off to try and save a little money. We did that and the blinds were cleaned, dried and ready in 2 days. They are SPARKLING WHITE!!! I could not be happier and I have told all of our neighbors. The slats, strings, pulls and valance are pristine. They really look almost brand new. They also cleaned one set of metal blinds for us. The staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with, the location was easy to find (parking is a little tricky) and the turn-around time was perfect - just enough time for me to clean the windows. Anyone with blinds should have this done! We never could have cleaned them to where they would look like this!

We visited the showroom in Grandview to discuss some options with Dave. We liked what we saw and Dave was very helpful and professional. He then scheduled a time to come to our home to take measurements. He showed up on time and measured four blinds in our living area and also presented different color options of blinds to choose from. It went well and we ordered the blinds on the spot. Continental called us when the blinds were ready and scheduled a time for installation. Isaac showed up on time for the installation. He said our installation was difficult as we have 20+ high ceilings. Luckily I had a ladder. However, Isaac was able to work his magic and install the blinds. It wasn't easy. Unfortunately, two of the valances (on the top two windows) did not fit so Isaac had to come out again to finish the job. It went very well. We also had installed a motor for the two top blinds. This motor will open/close the blinds via a remote. Very cool. It really makes the room nicer and keeps the sun out of our eyes on demand. They went as far as to send us a thank you card for our business. Top notch. Only downside is Hunter Douglas does not offeranything to hold the remote. It would have been nice to have a holder to install on the wall for the remote (similar to a ceiling fan remote). I think Ann mentioned there is a keypad model that installs on the wall but we're happy with what we got. Thanks Continental Blinds!

Good communication on the phone, service at the shop that wowed my husband, 2-day turn-around time, and now the blinds work.
