I first met with their sales rep who was very professional and knowledgeable and was not pushy but rather accommodating. The installers were very professional and courteous. They reviewed what I was getting, showed me in detail how to use the Nest thermostat and explained the work they were doing in words I could understand. I’m definitely using them again to maintenance my system.

The installers were very nice and professional. They took the time to thoroughly explain the system. My only issue is with the pricing. When I saw another A rated Angie's list HVAC company offering a deal for a replacement A/C and furnace for less than I just paid for my A/C only, I felt sick. I wish I would have done more research. I'm just glad we didn't pay the 8K+ quoted for the full system (A/C and furnace) replacement.

I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with Columbus Worthington Air. Our sales contact, Joe, was exceptional in working with us on our budget and timing. We got the newest and best technology in both these units and the thermostat. The installers put the AC in a new location and made sure with multiple visits that everything was working at 100% ability. They were always professional, incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We choose them after getting 3 different quotes because they are service oriented, and that definitely was proven.

I scheduled a furnace tune-up after noticing a smell coming from the vents. David was our technician. He was supposed to come b/t 2-6, but I got a call at 3:30 stating he would be late b/c another technician called off sick. They asked if I could reschedule, but I said no b/c I was worried about the smell and didn't want to wait another week until the weekend when I could be home for the appointment. David arrived around 7:30. Shortly after arriving, and while he was working on our furnace I heard him talking to his next appointment, which I didn't think was very professional. My main problem is that he told us we needed a new heat exchanger. He made this diagnosis without doing any testing whatsoever. Instead, he said we needed a new one because a white plastic part of the furnace was turning brown and one side of the board was not as shiny as the other. He said it would cost about $2000 to confirm his diagnosis and to replace the part. He said we should just get a new system instead and offered to call to set up an appointment with his salesman right then. He told us it was not safe to run the furnace because of fumes and possible fire risk. So, he turned the furnace off and we did not have heat for the night. The next day, we had two separate salesmen from two different and highly rated HVAC companies tell us we did not need a new heat exchanger and we did not need a new furnace. We also had two service techs from two different companies, who actually tested the furnace, tell us the heat exchanger was fine. And, even more frustrating was the fact that the Columbus Worthington Air salesman who came out the next day to sell us a new furnace could not explain why David said we needed a new system. My husband had to take time off of work for all of these appointments as well. I will not use this company again.

They were prompt, professional and cleaned up afterwards. Their price was a bit more than other estimates we got but we went with them because we felt more confident in their ability to do the duct work. We had some special requests regarding some duct work and they spent the time to go over options for how to do the duct work with us and gave us what we wanted. The whole project took two days.

Nathan came out and did the annual maintenance on our 18 year old furnace. He informed us that there were several cracks in the heat exchanger and recommended that we replace the furnace as this is a costly repair and an old unit. Nathan did not show me the cracks when I asked if there was a picture or way to see them. He explained that he would have to take out the entire heat exchanger, which was very time consuming, he did however tell me that during the replacement that this would be available to see. We decided to get a second opinion from CARE Heating and Cooling. We used them in the past and they had performed the previous year's maintenance on our furnace. They gladly sent out a technician free of charge. They used a camera to inspect the heat exchanger and could not find a single crack! He assured us that there were no detectable levels of CO and that there would be if there was a crack. He left our home stating that there was nothing wrong with our furnace and it was safe to operate. We immediately contacted CWA to challenge what they were telling us. On one side, we were told that our furnace was unsafe and in need of replacement and the other that it was perfectly fine. Clearly we didn't want the expense if it was in good working order. I spoke to the manager Matt who very quickly assured me that if his tech found cracks that they were there. And it is not true that CO is detectable with all cracks. He asked if he and another field tech could come back out and give them a chance to show us these cracks. He said if there were no cracks that they would give us 300% of the service fee. Given that Nathan said there were several cracks and this could pose a dangerous situation, we wanted them to show us these cracks. Being the middle of winter and having young kids, we needed to be sure our furnace was safe. Within minutes of arriving they were able to show us 1 crack. The entire heat exchanger would need to be removed to see the rest, which they were willing to do, but we felt at that point it was unnecessary. One crack is all it takes to compromise the whole unit, we knew then it needed replaced. The next day they had us on the schedule to replace our furnace thanks to Brian who knew that he needed to keep us on the schedule. When they took out the heat exchanger they were able to show us several more cracks! They 100% were not just trying to sell us a new furnace. We now understand the challenge of seeing these cracks. Nathan was able to see them during his inspection when he removed the blower, however it would be very hard to show a customer. You would need to lay down on the ground and look up with a mirror and flashlight. My only complaint is that I wish Nathan could have shown me the one crack that was visible without removing the heat exchanger. I realize at that point the furnace was running and maybe it would have been too hot, surely the rest would have been very hard to see. The replacement went very well and we were very pleased with the techs who came out for the installation. In regards to the sales process, Brian Rensi was great to work with. We replaced an A/C unit earlier in the year and worked with him at the time as well. He was great at explaining the options and guiding us to the right product to fit our needs. Both times we upgraded from the units that were original to the house and we are glad that we did! They are not the cheapest around but the quality of the products seem excellent so far! At the end of the day, we were very glad we gave them a 2nd chance. Brian told me a lot of times people won't allow them to come back into their homes in situations like this one. We can now say from our experience that they put a lot of effort into training their techs and that they really stand behind their work. Thank you again to the entire team that we worked with at CWA :)

Good. We got a new furnace and air conditioner and we're happy with the results.
Description of Work: Our furnace quit working. We discovered that since it was so old, there were cracks that could release carbon dioxide. The technician showed my husband the cracks and explained everything for him. The technician contacted the company who sent someone out within 2 hrs to talk to us about getting a new furnace.

We have a service contract with them so they come out twice a year. We like their service very much. Remarkable responsiveness. We tired them out because we figured that they could get here quicker. And we have been very pleased with them, and my husband had heard of them. They always replace the filter, we buy them because we can get them cheaper at the big box store. But they will replace it as part of the service.

Rob E. was punctual, courteous and friendly. With over 15 years experience, he was clearly both knowledgeable and efficient. While he recommended some preventative work, he was not at all pushy. We have used CWA for years and consider them a reliable and trustworthy business.
Description of Work: Annual furnace tune-up and system check.
Their initial repair attempt was prompt, professional, and informative. The estimator for the new system was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He gave great advice and helped us select the ideal system for our needs. We were able to schedule next day installation and got a good financing deal. The installers arrived early, did excellent work, and were very professional.

I called and they were able to come out the next day to check on it. They started by looking at fixes that would be less expensive, before potentially looking at more expensive options. They figured it out, came back to fix it a little later once they got the parts and were on their way.
