Have maintained a service contract with this firm for several years and had a complete replacement of an HVAC system within the past three years at a substantial cost. Were not willing to scheduled 10-15 minute service call when needed for this very specific situation citing busy schedule. Very disappointed with responsiveness and professionalism given exceptional circumstances and time constrains. Showed a very low degree of loyalty to long time customers in this regard.

The repair itself went very smoothly. It has now been about a week and the A/C is performing well. The replacement parts took a bit longer than anticipated, but this was because of a supplier mistake.

Rob E from Worthington Air completed our annual air conditioner check in the same courteous and professional manner as he had also shown in our fall 2015 annual furnace check. He answered all of our questions and concerns in a courteous and professional manner. We will be requesting his services again in the future.

When I dealt with the owner in the past, he was excellent. He would always explain things and did everything very, very well. People who worked for him weren't just competent. I did use them several times. I remember they showed up early one time and that was pretty good.

Contacted WA in Dec. 2015 to check out old furnace; it was 25+ years old and needed new computer board. After a lot of back and forth, decided to just get new system. WA installed new Bryant furnace and ac in one day and did a good job. They did the pre-summer checkout yesterday, and Justin, WA representative, did thorough review and was even kind enough to figure out the energy usage of the ac unit so I could at least approximate the costs for running the system. I will definitely use WA in the future.
Description of Work: December 2015 installed furnace and ac unit. Yesterday completed their pre-summer ac check and inspected furnace.

We had an eye-opening experience on Saturday, April 30th, when Matt H. of Columbus Worthington Air came to do a Spring Check-up on our 12 year old AC system. This was actually a “second-opinion” call. I am not a CWA customer but unfortunately have a service contract with Atlas Butler. Three days prior to Matt’s arrival, we had our Spring Check-up with Atlas Butler, fully covered under the service contract. Not only did the AB tech not perform the full inspection (he declined to go into my attic to look at the system), he tried to scare us into buying a new AC and/or entire HVAC system. He informed me the coolant was dangerously low, the system should not be turned on, and he wanted to schedule a Home Comfort Specialist (i.e., salesman) to come to our home THAT NIGHT to talk about the expensive fix to the coolant leak and the preferred option of buying a new system from Atlas Butler. AB tech left without providing any paperwork report, but he did secure an appointment for the salesman to come out later in the week. We were suspicious and I called CWA to come for a second opinion, which we paid for out-of-pocket with the initial Atlas Butler inspection covered under our service contract. Matt H. came to our rescue! He did the thorough inspection that was required, even climbed into my spider-web-covered attic crawlspace (!), and after 40 minutes, informed us that the AC was fully functional and was nowhere near being low on coolant. He also explained the entire inspection and how a tech would know if there was a coolant leak and how an AC system actually works. After Matt educated us, we then had a nice chat with him about Atlas Butler’s deceptive sales practices. It is unfortunate that we are tied to Atlas Butler until the service contract expires, but as soon as it does, we will become new clients of Columbus Worthington Air. Matt, thanks again! (The issue with Atlas Butler is not fully resolved, but when it is, I'll post a review of that whole experience).

It only took the service agent (tech id 32600) about 5 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem. He was there for such a short time he didn't even charge me. He could have charged me but he was honest. I really appreciated his honesty. I ended up buying a maintenance package. They will come and check my heating and air on a semi-annual basis.

Furnace was inoperative -- fan running constantly, but no heat. I called them and they came within 2 hours!! Found that the limit switch was bad and got it working temporarily. Two days later, they returned with the new part and installed it. This is a very good outfit and I highly recommend them -- their techs are always knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I would recommend you sign up for their Advantage Plan. In addition to getting the spring and fall tune ups, you get no charge diagnostics, 20% discount on parts/labor, 24 hour appointment guarantee and other benefits.

We were very pleased with our recent experience with Columbus Worthington Air. We needed to replace our builder-grade furnace and air conditioning with a new high efficiency system. The team called 15 minutes before arriving, and were well within the arrival window quoted by the office. All of the guys were very professional, and took great care to protect our hardwood floors, all of the way from the front door to the door of the furnace room. The weather was absolutely miserable, (rained non-stop all day), but the guys worked all day without even taking a break for lunch. The installation was very organized and looks great. They took time at the end of the job to go over all of the system features and installation details. Their price, although not cheap, was very competitive with the proposals we received from other HVAC contractors. I would highly recommend CWA, and will use them for any future service needs!

It was a lot of work and the installers were great. They were efficient and professional. Unfortunately, the end result left us dissatisfied with Columbus Worthington Air for a second time. The furnace they installed for the second floor creates a lot of disruptive noise on the first floor. They had initially installed an overpowered furnace for the second floor in Jan 2015. We had never been happy with the outcome of this system. We had to use a nice two stage furnace as a single stage unit to keep the noise level acceptable. Since we needed to replace another furnace in Feb 2016, we decided to give Columbus Worthington Air another shot and to also see if they could fix our issue with the previous installation and give us a new furnace too. When all is said and done we are happy with the furnace (the two stage system originally installed for the second floor) that is now heating our first floor. Unfortunately, the second floor furnace is so loud on the first floor that we turn it off when watching television or entertaining. It is much more inconvenient and disruptive than the two stage furnace that was operating as a one stage. Albeit it is more efficient. It has been very disappointing that Columbus Worthington hasn't contacted us about this issue or even offered an alternative. They just send us an invoice. I think the issue is dealing with a historical house that might need furnace location, air flow, air return and/or duct work adjustments to make new systems work. This is something that should have been addressed a year ago or even last month, especially since I emphatically voiced my concerns at each time of sale.
Description of Work: Moved a furnace they installed in Jan 2015, removed a broken furnace and installed a new furnace.

Shelby noticed the leak from under my newer furnace. He thought it may be from a clogged trap and when he removed the front panel of the furnace he noticed that the drain hose was not connected to the PVC pipe fitting leading to the cellar drain. He also noticed that Columbus Worthington Air had checked over the system during the fall. He suspected that this was the technician's fault and he would correct it at no charge. Once the hose was secured, Shelby began checking over the entire humidifier and noticed it was not getting power since it was wired into the electric filter which had been converted over to a regular type filtering system that did not use electricity. Shelby rewired the humidifier and then checked the water feed system and the function of the unit now that it was working. He did not charge me for this service and apologized that the technician during the fall tuneup failed to catch these issues. Shelby seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He also spoke highly of working for Columbus Worthington Air. I was really happy to hear that I did not need a new $650.00 humidifier installed!
Description of Work: Mystery leak from my humidifier was resolved immediately thanks to Shelby, a technician at Worthington Air. I was surprised when I called to hear that someone from the company would be over that same day and that they would call just before coming over to my home. I was expecting to need a new humidifier until Shelby said it must be the trap hose. He was correct and fixed the problem in a couple of minutes and then checked over the entire humidifier and water feed to make sure everything was working correctly before finishing-up the job. Thank you very much Shelby and Worthington Air!

All mechanical and electrical connections were made without incident. A few minor details came up but were addressed promptly. John Bogart, sale representative, was very easy to work with.

Called for service call as furnace wasn't working. Never received a callback after 1 hr. Called again and said that nobody called us and the answering service lady said that it was unusual that nobody answered her call. She said that she would call again. Waited another hour and finally someone called us back. He didn't provide his name. He asked what was going on which we said that our burners weren't lighting. He said that he thought that it was an ignition switch. He provided the cost for a service call and hourly rate. We asked if he had the part and he said that he didn't know. We asked about how long it takes to install and he said that he didn't know. He said that he had several calls ahead of us and it would be around 10 pm before he could get to our house. We asked why we would pay for a service call when it was unlikely that he could repaid the furnace since he didn't think that he had the part. This company received good reviews, but based on our experience, I wouldn't call them again. Given it was cold to be without heat and they weren't very concerned about even calling back. I wouldn't recommend them if asked based on the poor experience we had.
Description of Work: Nothing as he couldn't get to hour house until maybe 10 pm and he didn't even know if he had the part.

Called ahead before arrival; gave timely arrival estimate. Wore protective foot slippers upon arrival. Spent what seemed like a reasonable time on the furnace - how would I know, not being a professional? - but worked for 30 minutes or so and gave a detailed invoice of check points. Provided helpful info on humidifier use. We came from a region where such a unit is uncommon, so that was greatly appreciated. Gave suggestions/tips on preventative care of furnace.
