I suggest payment is not made until your project is complete. I find Collegiate Landscaping to be very untrustworthy and dishonest. I received estimate on 08/17/24. I sent Collegiate Landscaping a check for half the amount 08/19/24. They use an app that sent my schedule date to complete work for 08/30/24 at 8:30-9:30AM. No show I contacted Reece around 11:00. Reece advised they do not work their guys in 90 degrees + weather. I said fine I understand. You cannot call or text me to let me know? Waiting around all morning? So Reece sends new schedule date for 09/07/24 at 9:00-10:00AM. Again no show. I text Reece and before he responded to me he had went in and changed my schedule date to 09/10/24 totally ignored my 09/07/24 appt. Reece texted me stating everyone was moved ahead due to the guys being off hot weather. Again, I asked him he could not call or text me to advise I am waiting here all morning? He ignored that. My issue is he did not think I kept the text for the 09/07/24 date and he just went in to app changed it to 09/10/24. The 09/07/24 scheduled date totally disappeared but the 08/30/24 remained. I no longer trust Reece and Michael. Two times cancelled and they cannot call or text me to let me know? Plus delete the second scheduled date like it never happened? What ethical business will do this? Also, what business when you call immediately states mail box full and cannot leave a message. So, I asked for my check back and of course they said no. They had already bought the materials which I do not believe. They offered to drop the material off to me. Right? When I hire a new contractor they will want to use their own stuff. Plus, they know I live in a condo community and no space to store the material which I believe with my whole heart they never bought. Buyer beware. I only wish I had paid by visa I know I would receive my money back. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio State Attorney General's Office. I am looking into Small Claims Court. There is no minimum amount plus it is the principle of this whole issue. Update as of 9/10/2024 : I need to update my poor performance review written 09/09/24 for Collegiate Landscaping to correct the names to Reed and Nick.
