Clean Air Radon Solutions

75% of the basement in my new home was crawl space area divided into 3 crawl spaces. The purchase inspection reported higher levels of radon (20 pCi/L) which was most likely coming from the crawl spaces. I called Clean Air Radon for a quote. When they arrived we discussed the design of the system in order to run the exhaust pipes through the channel of the ceiling joists in my usable basement space, to the garage, and out the back side of the roof so that only a 2ft pipe would be visible on the back roof. After the appt, I requested to see the design to ensure it was what we talked about. It was a little sloppy so I sent them my own. They were very responsive to finalize the design with me so I finally scheduled the install appt. Drilling through concrete slabs and joist rim boards is very invasive to a home. I'm beyond pleased at how clean all of the holes were cut. They have tools that make a perfect circular cut leaving minimal gap between the hole and the 4" exhaust pipe. The gap is then sealed. They also cleanly sealed my sump pump. There was also no mess when they left. The post installation test should the radon level to be .5 pci/L. I've dealt with 100s of contractors and this was a top 3 experience.

At first the system did not reduce radon to the amount I was expecting. Contacted them and Tommy came out with another crew to address my issues. Both crews were polite, nice, and professional. After addressing the issues, he ran another test and the system has now reduced the radon to levels I was expecting (original test after installation was 3.6 and after doing some additional remediation it came in at 1.7). While there to address the system issues, Tommy was also nice enough to warn me about the tile floors in my basement most likely contain asbestos (he said 99% or more chance) and told me a couple remediation options as he used to be in the asbestos removal business. He didn't solicit work out of it nor try to sell on someone else to do it, he just gave good pointers and warnings as I was planning to turn that area of the basement into a play area for the kids.

The person on the phone gave me a really good education on radon levels, how they fluctuate throughout the year, and factors that can go into getting a radon mitigation system. Instead of just trying to sell me, she basically talked me out of it. I really appreciate the honesty and willingness to help. I'm going to run some more radon tests, and if I decide to get a radon mitigation system, this is the first place I'm going to call.

It was very good after. He was very professional. He came in and his machine was there for two days. He did exactly what he said and charged what he said. He was also very clean. There is no negative. I would recommend him because of his professionalism and he was very clean. We did compare prices and he was in the middle of the road.

Tommy came to my house and spent time with me examining the basement and feasibility of a solution. He was polite and professional, and I would have been comfortable choosing his firm. The two bids we received were less than 10% apart, and both providers are licensed and have high marks on AL. It was essentially a tossup. Unfortunately for Tommy, we chose the other provider. All things being equal--as they seemed to be--we went with the lower bid.

Great quote, was timely when he came out to estimate the job. He was flexible with pricing and a nice local guy to boot. I accepted his proposal, then he disappeared. I emailed a follow up a day later because I had an inspection deadline, which is normal for house sales. No response. I called and the voicemail was disabled.

Tommy Hay came out on time to estimate. We worked with condo board for approval. Set up time to install, including early drop off for painting the pipes, and the guys, Jesse and Chris, came out and were great. The install is clean and tight. The guys were very efficient and polite.

Schedule an appt with Tom the owner to come and give me an estimate for radon installation on a home I was selling He was 1hr late for the appt and did not call until 15mins saying he was stuck in traffic. After he arrived he provided a estimate which I agree to and I told him to send me a written estimate so we can get this on his schedule. He never sent the estimate and after several text messages and calls to the office if contacted another business to perform the work.

It couldn't have gone any better. I dealt directly with the owner, Tommy Hay. He was very knowledgeable,and honest. He quoted me a very fair price. I did get other estimates. The installers showed up as scheduled. They, too were very knowledgeable, hard working and professional. They explained everything you n detail. They did an excellent job in a timely fashion. I will be recommending Clean Air Radon to others.ps, the work area was spotless when they left.

Brian arrived shortly after his scheduled time and after a brief introduction and tour of the basement/sump pump areas, explained in detail what his work would entail. The job took approximately 2 1/2 hours from start to finish, and was very thorough in his clean up. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who requires a mitigation system.

Tommy was very responsive and polite and did a great job. After the new system was installed, the readings were exceptional. The price was very reasonable and came in under the original estimate. I would definitely use Clean Air Radon Solutions again.

The two man crew should up on time, I escorted them to the basement, they looked it over and told me exactly what they were going to do. They also looked at the sump pump area and said they would install a new lid with a window port that could be used for access and then silicone everything to seal it up. They completed the job in a very timely manner. They cleaned up. They were very Professional. I have had several contractors to do work recently and these were by far the most professional I have seen. The only issue occurred when they were installing the new sump pump lid. The sump pump pipe came loose. They reinstalled it and tightened it up. I found out a couple of days later that the sump pump float was stuck in the up position which was causing the pump to run continuously. THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF THIS. I fixed the issue myself, however I am sure if I had called them they would have returned and fix the issue. Tommy came to pick up the tester and asked about the job and the performance of the crew, I told him I was impressed and they did an amazing job..

I am in the process of hiring them again for the home I am selling. Great service and reasonable pricing.

.They did a great job. One worker, Brian, installed the entire system in 3-4 hours. He was extremely professional and competent. Tommy, the owner, was gave a no-nonsense estimate and provided a simple contract with no hidden conditions. I would recommend them to anyone who needs radon mitigation.

Everything went like clockwork. I called this provider because I noticed others' reviews were thorough and detailed, and I figured this was a good indicator. No disappointment. Tommy came and gave a price that was in the ballpark I expected, maybe a little lower. His crew came a week later to install the system and they were efficient, tidy, and nice. The reading a couple days later showed levels went from 54 to 1.6. I'm very pleased and will ask Tommy do the house we're about to sell, if mitigation is required.

Tommy was very professional. The CleanAir Company is family owned and has a limited administrative staff. I found contacting Tommy was easier by text message (cell phone to cell phone) or leaving a message on his cell phone. At the time of the first test, Tommy answered all my questions and concerns about RADON, the mitigation process, how it was to installed and his work crew. Tommy was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous in all our meetings. Tommy's crew arrived on time and completed the work in less time than estimated. They cleaned up after themselves both in the basement and outside the house. The finished installation was as designed. The crew left the monitor for the post installation 48 hour test. I am very pleased with the work completed by CleanAir Radon Solutions and would recommend them to anyone looking for a RADON contractor.

After performing two home radon tests and getting the results of both being greater than 25, I called Clean Air for a quote on Radon mitigation. Tommy (the owner) came out on time and quoted me a price $200 less than the other companies. He is a nice guy and knowledgeable about radon mitigation systems. We scheduled a date and the tech came out on time. In about 2.5 hours he was done and cleaned everything up very well. The material they use is very good and I was happy with the overall appearance of the system. My levels are now down to 0.4!!!! I was very happy with their work. I would at least get an estimate from them if you are considering radon mitigation. They do good work.

Tommy and his team is fantastic! They dropped by a Radon detector, provided the test results. I asked for the remediation system, we scheduled it 10 days later. It was installed in a few hours and within a couple of days the radon levels were down. Tommy and his team could not have made it easier. Very impressive and flexible company!
