CHANGE IS GOOD TREE SERVICE

In the process of the removal one of the branches hit the wires that carries our telephone and cable. The branch broke a riser that connected our electrical services to the home and that now needs to be replaced. The result has come to large bill for electrical repair due to all of the different things that need to be done to bring it up to city code. When the city comes out to inspect the work they are going to see if all of our wires are grounded into a water meter which is also going to need to be grounded as well.. They also have to replace the electrical box outside due to the age of the home. The riser handles all of the electrical wires coming out of the house and they have to tie all of that into the repair work. All of these things now have to be done because of the damage that was caused. We paid them in full before the job started and the work is still not completed. Their are still three stumps that needed to be ground. The contract said we needed to pay 500 to start, 900 when all was removed. We made the second payment prematurely but we have not paid the final 200 for the stumps to be ground up. The second payment was due after all was cleaned up and that is still not complete. They have sent people who are not employees of the company to haul away the wood but they have not touched the stumps. The stumps still need to be ground and we have this electrical situation to deal with as well.

I hired Change Is Good Tree Service to remove 4 trees and also to trim a fifth tree. They cut down 3 of the trees but did not clean up after their work. They said they would return the following day to complete the job. But even after repeated phone calls they have not returned. I made the mistake of paying them in full before the job was finished.

Mike Kennedy drove past our house looking for business after a wind storm. He gave an estimate far below another we received. I asked if he was insured and he assured me he was, for $10,000. I was not home when the job was done. While removing our trees, the person he hired to grind the stumps assisted in the tree removal. The stump guy fell against our garage door, causing $570 damage. When I got home he had already left. I paid Mike for the tree removal and asked him for the name of his insurance company. He said the damage is the responsibility of the stump guy. When the stump guy returned to get paid, we asked for the name of his insurance company. He said it was the responsibility of Changes Good Tree Service since he worked for them. We told him that Changes Good should pay him then. Calls to the stump guy also were not returned.
