It went well. Our painters were very professional and competent. They paid attention to detail. The finished product is fantastic.

I hired CertaPro to take care of painting a majority of my first floor and foyer ceilings after completing a large remodel. The process of selecting them included 7 other companies bidding the job. CertaPro didn't have the lowest price, however, they had additional prep work included that I felt was worth the extra expense. My overall experience with CertaPro was mixed: Negatives: - The initial painters on the job did sub-par work requiring a punch-list crew to come back a week later to fix their mistakes. I was disappointed in their technique as they were rolling before they cut in the corners. This created a larger outline of brush strokes along all of the edges which could have been minimized if they cut-in then rolled. The brush stokes became even more apparent around light fixtures (I had suggested I could remove them if it made it easier). - The initial painters dropped a sanding tool on my new hardwood floors creating a gouge in one of the planks. This damage was taken off my bill ($90) by the CertaPro Owner which is still very disappointed after spending over $23k to put new floors in. - The initial painters seemed rushed the entire day even though the job was outlined ahead of time on what the scope of work needed. I am not sure on how it was communicated, but the painters seems frustrated based on the worked needed completed to their compensation. This was further confirmed when they had to leave to get more paint because they were short roughly 3 gallons. The frustration could be felt the second half of the day based on comments from the crew which I will leave off of my review. - The challenges in communication between the office and the field showed up a second time when it came to skim coating and caulking. I mentioned to the painters where the skim coating needed done and they were fine handling it. However, the work was not done well, it would have been better to keep it as is than what turned out. Moreover, I request a specific caulk (it was documented in the scope of work), however, the painters did not bring it. Fortunately, I had extras from my remodel I was able to provide. The CertaPro owner didn't acknowledge this when I brought it up later. - I will detail out more in the positives about the punch list crew, however, they were unable to fix all of the brushstroke issues created by the initial crew. It would require more aggressive sanding (per the punch list crew) to complete it correctly, and my final email to CertraPro about this resulted in no response. - While the crew was painting the foyer, their ladders scuffed part of the wall which were just recently painted during the remodel. Positives: - The Operations Manager came out after hearing about my challenges from the initial crew and did a complete walk-through with me. He took pictures and created a punch list of my issues to be fixed. I was pleased with his timeliness, demeanor, and willingness to get my job resolved. - The punch list crew was great. I would have preferred having them over the initial crew from the start. They looked at the work and instantly knew it needed fixed. - The punch list crew did a walk-through at the end (the initial crew did not) and found a few other areas to fix. This was done without issue and they were happy to do it. Overall: I think there were many opportunities for improvement. The CertaPro business model utilizes a network of sub-contractors so communication between CertaPro and their network needs to be tight. I think I fell into a situation where my job didn't get communicated well which caused the rub. The quality of work seemed to be an issue of the initial crew feeling rushed. This is a issue that comes back between the sub-contractor and CertaPro, so I cannot comment on why this was the case. This doesn't seem to be a common issue based on CertaPro's positive reviews, so I wanted to make sure I left my experience here for those in the future. At this point, my ceilings are complete (overall looks good) but I have to live with a few minor imperfections CertaPro didn't want to discuss/address.

It was excellent, professional workman that I am very pleased with. They painted two and a half bathrooms and a laundry room. The place looks like it was transformed, its beautiful. The painters were promptly on time and very professional. I would definitely have them do any future jobs in a heart beat. The price was also very fair also. Thanks for your service.

Excellent. Was contacted when necessary about confirming scheduling, clarification on aspects of the job and received help picking colors. The two who performed the work were courteous, professional, highly skilled and a joy to wok with.

You will not go wrong hiring this company. Kevin Rutter was the person who gave us an estimate. He was excellent. We would definitely hire them again, and plan to do so. The reason for the 2 B ratings was because of the helper. CreatPro called for feedback on the job done. Specific feedback was given and was told it would definitely be addressed. This is a company that is customer focused. Grade A.

The estimate was fine. They will send out of a sub contractor. That's one of the downsides but we needed a painter and they responded. They've been wonderful in responsiveness.

They painted the house with 2 coats and had it done in one day. Very nice and professional.

Excellent. Fast and efficient, but still quality work. Will hire again.

My husband and I differ on what kind of a job they did. I think there were a lot of things that could have been better. There were spots in certain areas the paint hit the wood. I don't think it was as detailed or professional as I would have liked it. Tiny little specks in the bathroom where every time I cleaned I was having to use my fingernail to get them off the sink or the toilet. It was not attention to detail for me. They should inspect it a lot better than we did in the end.

Everything went wee, had no problems with the company and i will be hiring them again in the future.

Three weeks and did not bother to even give me a quote.

I guess that was a couple of years ago. I don't recall what they charged me.There were two people that showed up to do the work. It took them just a day. It was two coats. I was a hallway. They did excellent work.

Quoted spray and backroll but did not backroll. Worked out settlement with business owner.

They were good. They are a good company.

We were happy with the estimate and were able to get the job scheduled quickly. The painters arrived on time, were professional, and finished the entire job in one long day. Excellent work and left the house clean.

I could not be more pleased with the outcome. They did an amazing job.

They had a good price. They had a good service. They were on time and they were professional. It took 2 days to complete the painting. Two workers came out.

Looked good at first, but after it was dry, looked splotchy. Called company & mgr came over & said redo was needed for several areas. Said he'd call to schedule. NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN. When I called office, he stated they were not my painter & I had wrong company, though Sherwin Williams had their name & my colors on file under my name. Also, I requested eggshell finish but some of my colors were on file as "flat". The painter ran out once & finished w/new paint in a different sheen. TERRIBLE! Do not hire!

The paint is holding up well after one year. The work was complete a thorough at a good price.

I still get comments on it! It was a really good experience. They even stained our deck. I would use them again inside or outside. On the price they came down to match another quote and they gave me financing, giving me a year to pay the best price. I've used them more recently to do some interior painting in the bathroom! They were really good.

It was great. Their rates were much more reasonable than others and the service was excellent. They did a great job and it looks fantastic. They were quick, thorough, clean and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The crew was there at the scheduled time, ready to work. However, the Sherwin-Williams semi-transparent stain we chose did not cover well, due to poor weather conditions following completion of the job. Dan Goodman and his crew made it right. Dan is a trustworthy businessman who cares about his customers. We recommend Dan and CertaPro of Columbus and will work with them again.

Painting was average, but there was an extreme lack of communication and proper supervision of employees. Painted empty house to prepare for market. Employees broke thermostat, several blinds, and a toilet and left a disgusting mess. Ownership did not care or reimburse, stated we got a good deal on the job as they underestimated it. Will never use them again.
