Certainty Remodeling

This company was contracted to replace my roof, refinish a hardwood floor and repair ceiling & light fixture after storm damage. We signed the contract and paid a down payment to Certainty Remodeling to do this work on Sept. 4, 2010. It took a whole month for Certainty Remodeling to start the roof replacement. During the roof replacement one of their worker was seen by a neighbor across the street going into my next door neighbor's back yard and stealing their child's bike helmet. When we asked the worker for what he took out of the yard he went to the back of his work truck and pulled the helmet out and handed it over. Although the weather did delay the start of the roofing project there was no reason for the work for the floor refinishing to take an additional whole month to start. When we asked about the floor re-finishing being started while we waited for the weather to clear up, we were told that it would not be cost effective to have the Certainty Remodeling workers come to the house on two separate dates to do the work, yet that's exactly what Certainty Remodeling did. We now realize that this was one of many excuses to come. One of the workers that did the floor refinishing rudely commanded attention by yelling "Yo Brotha" from the back of the house to the front. When we later requested a repair completion certificate that my insurance company was requesting, Certainty remodeling was completely unresponsive. So far the work completed has held up.
