Central Ohio Appliance Repair

I called Central Ohio Apliances Repair about a screechy noise that my 30 year old, up till now, very reliable, washing machine was making. The repairman called me back on the same day, diagnosed the problem over the phone and said it would be cheaper and better to buy a new washing machine than to repair my old one, effectively talking himself out of a costly repair for me and a money making opportunity for his company. I was very greateful and wished him a blessed day and told him I would give him a nice review on the Angie's list website. Thank you Central Ohio Appliances Repair for being such an honest company. Excellent... Called ahead ....Was there on time ...... done quickly .... had the rigth part and fixed it .. All within 45 mins.

The representative got there late in our time frame, but was apologetic about a very busy day. He was very friendly and showed us where the problem was. The washer's pump was jammed with coins, stockings, paper, and even a debit card had gotten lodged in there! He let us know what to do and what not to do for prevention's sake. The pump was replaced, the washer checked, and it was good to go.

I called Scott at 730 am and request service and he said he would do his best to get us in today. Scott called my husband at 930 am and told that a repairman would be out today. The repairman called my husband on his way to our home and he replaced the air compressor and gave us tips on how to keep it clean.

The repairman quickly pointed out the the breaker was now rebooting. He also looked at our microwave and advised what could be done with it, at no charge. Then we talked a minute about the maintenance needed for my washing machine. The information alone on how to better care for our appliances has saved us money and time. Central Appliance Repair is looking at building lasting relationships with their customers and I doubt that their customer service can be beat. I have recommended them to all my family and friends. THEY ARE TOP QUALITY!

His price is reasonable and he did an excellent job; he is a good guy and knows what he is doing!

He came at the agreed upon time and went right to work checking to see what is going on with my washer. When he was done with his check, he informed me of the problem, what it would cost to fix the problem and his recommendation. He didn't waste any time. He was professional. Overall I was happy with the service he provided.

Dishwasher wouldn't start - I appreciated very much that the repairman told me honestly how much it would cost to fix the problem once he figured it out and recommended that it was really too high. He also told me some problems that it could have had that would have been worth fixing. A nice education that I really appreciated. I felt he was trustworthy. Then also, they had a coupon for $10 off which I appreciated.

My father met repairman, he was on time, very nice and did not try to over charge. My father was very impressed. Will absolutely suggest to others.

Called to schedule on a Thursday around lunch time. Told them I wasn't in a hurry to get it done. I was told they would call on Friday before the service man came out. I got a call Friday around 10:00 saying he would be out in about 1/2 hour, which he was. He diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes, had the part on the truck and finished the job in less than 1/2 hour. The oven works great now. I groaned inwardly a little at the price (not because it was unexpected or over the top - just because I hate spending that much when the work is done so quickly).

Same day service. Punctual and professional.

Woke up this am to find our refrigerator not working. Called to schedule a service call at 930a this am and was told available from 11a-2p and that they could call me 30 minutes ahead of time so I could leave work to meet them. Got a call at 1145 am, drove home and problem already solved... its 1pm :) Would recommend to use!

Trusting the reviews on Angie's list we waited three days for a tech to become available to repair the in-door water and ice dispenser. The tech was courteous and diagnosed the problem as a failed electronics board. He ordered the part which took four days. Upon replacing the board, the unit still did not work. He then stated another board was malfunctioning. This did not solve the problem either. He then stated he had no idea what the problem is and therefore we'd need to call someone else. Prior to the second service call our LG washer stopped working properly; the water pump was not removing the wash water. We called this in advance of the tech's second visit to ask if this could also be serviced at the same time and were told this would not be a problem. After giving up on the refrigerator, the tech began to work on the washing machine. After 20 minutes he came out and apologetically stated he could not figure out how to remove the outside casing. We therefore needed to call another company as well. I can respect when an issue is greater than one person can solve. However an appliance repair company that effectively cannot repair appliances is problemsome. The only reason for the "D" rating (verses an "F") is that the original service call fee was refunded. Regardless, two weeks of my time have been wasted. Basd upon my experience, I would NEVER recommend this company desipte the other comments.

I called the morning of the 17th and Robert was able to come by that afternoon. After talking earlier and responding to some of his questions, he had diagnosed the problem correctly, arrived within the time he had quoted, and with the necessary parts for repair. Robert was very friendly and all work was done professionally and without incident. This was the first time I had used Angie's list to find a service company and am happy to say I will definitely recommend Central Ohio Appliance Repair to others who need appliances serviced.

Fantastic service. Arrived on time and promptly diagnosed the problem. He had the part on his truck so he was able to fix that day. Extremely professional service from the time I made the appointment until the time the tech left. Price was reasonable based on my online search.

He came out the day I called and quickly diagnosed the problems. A part needed to be ordered for the ice dispenser and as soon as it came in he was out to install it. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. Would definitely use again.

I called in the morning and they showed up approximately 2.5 hours after, giving me a call 30 minutes prior to let me know they were on the way. The repairman did some troubleshooting on the broken dryer. He then had the dryer running. He determined that a safety switch shut the dryer off because it had gotten too hot, and that the reason for getting to hot was that a thermostat had gone out. He then told me that he had a replacement thermostat in his truck and how much it would cost to replace. While it's convenient that he had the part with him, I asked him if the part was interchangeable across brands and models and he said no it wasn't. I was trying to determine if it was just luck that he had the part, or if he just found something that he could swap out for me to get more money out of me. I asked a few more questions about the nature of the problem and why the dryer shut off, and decided to let him go ahead and make the repair. While I probably paid a little more for the part, I was happy that the problem would be taken care of that day and a return trip/appointment would not be necessary to complete the repair. He was very professional and I felt comfortable with the job that was being done.

When we called, we made an appointment a few days out. We received a call to say they could come the next day if we were available. The person who came listened to my explanation, checked the machine and vents. Based on the inspection, it was explained what was wrong, an estimate was given and approved. The dryer was repaired quickly. We were very happy with the service and cost.

The gas dryer stopped heating and was making a noise. Called the West office Monday morning and they scheduled for Wednesday. They showed up on time and the guy knew exactly what was wrong. He said when the coils get weak and the dryer is several times they will stop heating. Replaced the coils and it' back to working like new.

The repair went fine. Diagnosed the trouble and brought the correct part. Uneventful service call, which is really what you are looking for isn't it? Will call in the future for our appliance needs.

I could smell melting plastic every time I used my dryer and was afraid there would be a fire. I tried to take the dryer apart and find the heat element to see if it was against something plastic. Called Central Ohio Appliance Repair for help. Felt really foolish when he pointed out that it was the remnants of the plastic bag that held the information about the dryer that was melting against the outside of the back panel. He was really nice, put the dryer back together for me and didn't laugh at my attempts at dryer repair. I don't have the exact date or charge. I waited too long to write the review and have forgotten when and how much.

We were able to schedule and get them here quickly. They were able to diagnose and fixed it on the first try.

It was a fantastic experience. They were awesome. There were no problems at all. We tried to call somebody else but their hours were more restricted so we call this other guys and they were able to come out and help us out. They did a good job.

It was okay. Service issues are always a headache. They were okay, but not sure if I would use them again. Maybe.
