Carpet Repair Service

Jim and his crew of three began working the minute we accepted their quote that day. They did an excellent job matching the pattern and grain with the previously installed carpeting. We cannot see any indication such as outline seams where they were joined. They called earlier in the day to confirm the appointment and they were very punctual. We were very impressed with their service, professionalism, and their lifetime guaranty. The latter has some real creedence as they have been in business for several years.

It was great work from start to finish. Very responsive, prompt, and friendly. Did an excellent job.

I called Jim Hicks on Monday and he provided me with an estimate of cost for the repair. I scheduled him to come out the next day. Jim and Harold came as scheduled and made the repair. He also repaired another small damaged area at no additional cost. The work was completed in less then an hour. Jim and his assistant Harold did an outstanding job.

My call was taken immediately and since it was such a item that needed to be fixed I offered to send over digital pictures so they could estimate based on that rather than having to come to my house. Jim Hicks agreed and I sent the pictures over. He sent the estimate back via e-mail very quickly (I believe it was the same day). He even called a day or two later to make sure I received the estimate and to see if I had any questions. I ended up using a different company that I've used in the past (to clean carpet), but I would definitely recommend this company and would consider using them for future jobs.

I liked him over the phone because he gave me advice on what to tell the carpeter about pulling up the carpet. When he performed the carpet repair he was prompt and very nice, and gave me other carpet advice while he worked. The work was done in about 1 hour and it looked great.

I HAD A SMALL HOLE IN MY BERBER CARPETING NEAR A SEAM, IF I COULD NOT GET THIS FIXED TO LOOK LIKE NEW I WOULD HAVE IT TOTALLY REPLACED. AFTER READING THE TERRIFIC COMMENTS ABOUT JIM HICKS, I WAS CONFIDENT THAT HE WAS THE PERSON TO CALL. I WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT VERY QUICKLY. HE CALLED BEFORE COMING AND ARRIVED ON TIME. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO TO MAKE MY REPAIR LOOK LIKE NEW. HE SAID THAT IT WOULD NOT BE RUINED BY CARPET CLEANING. I THEN TOOK HIM TO MY DAUGHTERS HOUSE TO FIX 3 AREAS OF CARPETING WHICH HER PUPPIES CHEW APART. SHE ONLY HAD A SMALL AMOUNT OF EXTRA CARPETING TO WORK WITH FROM A VERY SMALL LINEN CLOSET. WE COULD NOT EVEN BELIEVE THE AREAS WHEN HE FINISHED. THIS WAS AN OUTSTANDING JOB! YOU ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT TELL WHERE THE REPAIRS WHERE MADE. SHE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A HAPPIER PERSON. HE JUST MADE HER DAY! WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH JIM'S FRIENDLINESS AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE WAS VERY EXPERIENCED, PROMPT AND EXTREMELY FAIR PRICED. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE HIS SERVICES AGAIN IF NEEDED. I PLAN TO HAVE NEW CARPETING INSTALLED IN MY FINISHED BASEMENT AND WILL DEFINITELY CALL HIM TO DO THE JOB. IT WAS A PLEASURE TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WHO DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME CARPETING WHEN MINE WAS ABLE TO BE REPAIRED. JIM HAS HIGH WORK STANDARDS AND DID NOT TRY TO RUSH THE JOB. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS TO DESCRIBE MY EXPERIENCE WITH JIM HICKS.

Great. He did more work then I asked.

I had carpet in three rooms that needed to be re-stretched. I called on a Thursday and the next Monday morning Jim Hicks and two of his son s came out and did the work. I had a 9:00 AM appointment and Jim estimated it would take about 2 hours to do the work. They called about 8:40 on Monday to say they were on their way, and they got to my house right on time. Jim came in and we toured the house. I inquired if the carpet in any other rooms needed re-stretching and he said that it might in the future but it did not make sense currently, and he did not want to take my money unless the work was necessary. He and his sons quickly took care of all three rooms. Moved the furniture, stretched the carpet, vacuumed and replaced the furniture and were done in about 90 minutes. Jim was very friendly and informative about carpet care and maintenance. This was a great experience, as he came in gave me a quote did the work and left very quickly and professionally.

Jim, Eric, and Paul are wonderful! I was given Jim's name by my Realtor, upon closing on our home, as someone who is reputable in carpet repair. When I contacted him, Jim made himself available within a couple days to come to my home for an estimate and also said he would build in time to do the work. After talking through the process with him (he is extremely knowledgeable in all things carpet!) it was a no brainer to have him complete the work immediately. He and his sons worked quickly to initially restretch 2 upstairs bedrooms. After completing the work, I asked Jim to walk through the remainder of the home with me to find any other trouble areas that may not have been as obvious to me. He explained why some were good and some needed work. I scheduled time a couple days later for him to come back and complete the stairways and other 3 rooms. While there may have been a miscommunication on time (I thought he was coming at noon, but he didn't get there until almost 1), it was another wonderful experience with Carpet Repair Service. I would recommend Jim to anyone looking for fair and knowledgeable carpet service!

Excellent experience. Jim was quick to respond to my inquiry and gave me a quote over the phone. He and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. They completed the job in less than an hour. They had to move some furniture and then replaced it when they were finished. After they left, you couldn't even tell they had been here, except that our ugly cable was no longer strung across the living room floor! I highly recommend.

Great. He came out to give us an estimate. Then he brought carpet samples, from which we selected a carpet. We gave him a down payment, he ordered the carpet and installed it within a week.

Went very well. Called me within one day of asking for contact and came out next day and repaired. Took only about 15 minutes. Very good job.

Jim & his assistant were on time. When they came in they covered their work shoes which I greatly appreciated. They were knowledgeable about what needed to be done and were both kind & courteous as well. The job took about 1.5 hours.

They were extremely prompt and arrived 10 mins. early. They performed the service very quickly, even though I neglected to turn on the AC for them upstairs. They moved my heavy furniture out of the way and moved it back to exactly the same spot. After they were done with the job, they found me to ask if I wanted to vacuum the carpet before they moved the furniture back. I found their price very reasonable and would definitely call them again or refer them. They were also very nice, but not too chatty--got right down to business.

Overall it went well. They did a good job. He had to cut a lot of small pieces. They showed up on time and they were close to the estimate that they gave us.

Jim Hicks and his son gave us an estimate then preformed the work at a later date. Basically we wanted to preserve the existing carpet after a stairway was installed. There were big gaps requiring replacement and blending of carpet. The carpet needed to be reattached to the new stairway. I did not see the job as it was our vacation home and I have not been back since the work was done. My husband said the work was outstanding and that you could not tell that the repair had been done at all.

Great - he was able to squeeze me in after another job because I needed the carpet removed for another contractor to work on the floor underneath. He showed up a little early and was out in about half an hour. $75 is the minimum fee. He and the other guy were careful of the floor and stacked all the used carpet out by our trash for us, with the tack boards and pins rolled up inside.

We had carpeting that was stretching and had waves. Carpet Repair Service arrived on time, stretched the carpeting so that it lies beautifully. They even fixed a problem that was caused by the original installers. Jim Hicks knows his business and I would recommend him to anyone.

Called for an estimate and Jim showed up right on time. He was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He ordered the ramp product and we scheduled the job to be completed according to my schedule. The product was delayed by a day, but Jim called in a timely manner to reschedule. Again, he worked with our schedule. The job required him ripping out what had been done two years ago, finding more problems as he went. He removed all of the old padding and filler; installed the ramp material, replaced the carpet, while fixing all the squeaks with screws. It looks GREAT! We are very pleased.

Jim responded very quickly to my inquiry and did the work expertly and quickly, cleaning up after his work.

Jim came over to do an estimate and came prepared to do the work if I wanted to go forward. The job was 10 times bigger than he expected, but he rearranged his schedule and did the whole thing for me, which was critical because I work 6 days a week, travel frequently, and rarely if ever get a day off. This guy is amazing! You don't need to move all of the furniture do stretch a carpet. He said other companies hire him and charge a fee on top of his services. Save your money and hire him directly. He is an absolute genius. My carpet looks brand new. I'm recommending him to my friends.

It looks as though there was never a problem in the first place. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of his work. The owner was fast, polite & priced below the competition.

I called Jim to get a quote on what he would charge to restretch my living room carpet. Before I even finished leaving a voice-mail, he called me back and he provided an estimate over the phone. We schedule a time slot within two days of my call. Jim was prompt and did a great job on the carpet. He was very professional and I would recommend him to anyone.
