Jim gave us an estimate and made recommendations to prepare for his work. He installed carpet tack strips, glued instead of nailed to avoid breaking the new cement, then returned in 48 hours to re-install and repair the carpet. Jim was prompt, courteous, professional, and did a great job.

Overall experience was excellent. Jim Hicks responded quickly to my phone call, took the time that day to stop and give me an estimate and we scheduled him to return in a few days. This was an excellent experience. Another company had stated they could both fix and clean the carpet, but they let me down, leaving me with the carpet a mess and new furniture scheduled to arrive in 2 days. I saw Carpet Repair Service on The List, and gave them a call. Jim Hicks really bailed me out of a jam, and did a terrific job. He worked me into his schedule, and spent over two hours doing the job right. Once the carpet was lifted, he reinforced the tack strips so they would hold a tighter stretch. He had to work around a lot of cuts, including built-in cabinets and in-floor electrical outlets. He did a wonderful job.

Excellent job, entire carpet throughout house, looks and feels new. Mr. Hicks restretched carpet, after original installer indicated carpet could not be restretched. Work done at two different times, so that small items could be moved out of half the rooms at a time. Restretching work was completed, with large furniture left in rooms.

He came, he fixed and he went. On 4 days notice Jim was able to work me in before the weekend. He worked with me as my schedule changed do to another contractor finishing earlier. Then, as promised, he called before heading over to the job site. His workmanship was excellent. The carpet looks as if it was installed the original installation. I would not hesitate to hire again.

When I called for an estimate, he came out the same day. He said as soon as I had the drywall and molding fixed, to call and he would do the repairs. That was done on Thursday and I called Mr. Hicks Thursday afternoon and he came Friday morning to repair the carpet.

I can't recommend Jim Hicks' service too much. Very professional and neat. He answered phone in evening the first time I called to arrange repair, called me at work before he headed to my home (at my request), and arrived right on time. He was very knowledgeable about all things carpet and took time to explain everything he was doing. Work performed was flawless. Superb experience. I will use him for all future carpet repair needs.

Terrific. Jim answered my call the first time, fit me in his schedule the next day, called to tell me he was on his way and could fit me in even earlier. He showed up when he said he would, took off his shoes at the door (rainy day), did a great job (I'm sure it didn't test his skills!), and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Very professional and courteous.
