Description of Work: I sent a request asking if they would be able to do a sink installation and never received a response.

Description of Work: Trimmed and rehung back door, installed a threshold on front storm door and installed trim over front window. Excellent job, he researched what would be best for front door and procured what was needed. He was professional, punctual, a good communicator and prepared to do the job. A pleasure to work with, and I would call on him again.

Description of Work: Basic carpentry services including some finish work in our kitchen. It was done quickly and exactly how we wanted it.

Description of Work: I contacted Bill to replace the tile floor at the base of my main stairway. It was soft and seemed as though someone could actually go through it. He came out to assess the situation, gave me an approximate estimate, reinforcing that the final cost could change depending upon what he found under the floor. Indeed he found much more, including the origination of the problem on the roof covering my garage. Water had been running down inside this wall for years! I live in a condiminum community. Familiar with repairs at condiminiums, he advised that I contact the Association. He took pictures of the damge and spoke with the trustees, initially, and eventually the insurance company. He was open, forthright with all parties, and very professional. It was a tremendous relief for me not to be in the middle of all those communications. Beyond taking the floor up, Bill ended up having to remove some drywall, and siding. He repaired the foundation of the floor, replaced drywall and painted the wall, installed ceramic tile, and installed a new entry way door and storm door. He even made wooden parts for trim that I had thrown away, thinking they were no longer useable. I was working from home during the repairs and had the benefit of hearing his conversations with another worker. I am a trainer, and I was extremely impressed with his instruction and coaching skills. He is clearly a master of his trade. My impression was echoed during a private conversation I inadvertently had with the worker. I started taking notes for use in training supervisors and managers. During the course of this repair, Bill made a couple of of adjustments to doors. He also installed new light fixtures, two of which were not connected to the original damage. He was diligent about keeping the expenses separate so that I paid what I should, and the condiminum association paid only their share. We would often end the door with long conversations. He and Chris always cleaned up at the end of the work session. And they both loved my dog. Chris even took him for a walk one day! I have recommended Bill to my family, friends, and condo association. I have found a handy man for life! (or at least until he retires, at which time I want someone he has trained).

Description of Work: I called 3 times to schedule a time to have a garbage disposal installed. He did not return my calls.

Description of Work: We had Bill do some work on a bathroom that needed sprucing up before we had company coming to visit. Bill did drywall repairs, installed new baseboards, a new mirrored vanity, new vent fan and painted. He also recommended Miracle Method bathtub refinishing as an option to keep cost down and still have a great looking bath. Bill did a great job and had everything completed on time. He is a meticulus craftsman, the baseboards lined up perfectly and all of the drywall repairs were perfect (not noticable at all). I will be doing another bathroom next year and expect to have Bill help us again.

Description of Work: We needed a cabinet over the area where our new refrigerator was to go cut out to accommodate a taller unit.

Description of Work: Install 20 feet of wood baseboard and stain it. Install 24 feet of vinyl baseboard in kitchen and bath. Create and stain thresholds for kitchen and bath out of oak. Undercut and adjust three doors.

Description of Work: Bill made a built-in bench for our mud room.

Description of Work: Bill removed a "whole-house" fan and replaced it with drywall. He also re-grouted and re-caulked the tile around a bathtub, installed some flag brackets on my garage and "silenced" some squeaky floors.

Description of Work: BILL DID MAINTENANCE TO 14 DOORS IN MY OFFICE BUILDING. BUILT IN 2003, MY OFFICE BUILDING HAD MANY DOORS THAT WERE IMPROPERLY HUNG. BILL WAS ABLE TO ASSESS EACH AND EVERY DOOR AND DO WHAT WAS NEEDED TO HAVE THEM HANG STRAIGHT. WHILE OTHER CONTRACTORS WOULD HAVE HAD ME BELIEVE THE PROBLEMS COULD NOT BE FIXED OR I NEEDED ENTIRE DOORFRAMES RE-BUILT, BILL KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS NEEDED TO BE DONE TO END UP WITH THE DESIRED RESULT WITHOUT CAUSING MORE WORK AND EXPENSE IN THE PROCESS.
