Capital Collision Ctr

I had used Capital Collision previously to repair damage to the driver side door. Contacted them again for an estimate to deal with rust. I dropped off the car at 8:30 on Monday. Rental agency picked me up at Capital Collision. The following day I received a call from Shelly at Captial saying that my car was ready. I dropped off the rental car and was transported to Capital Collision to pick up my car. The Jeep is gold (well, they call it "champagne"). When I checked out the work, I noticed that the paint job did not match the color of the car--it was more silver. I went back inside and metioned that I thought it had been painted the wrong color. Ken came out and took a look and agreed. Said he wanted to take care of it right away. He wanted to provide me with a rental car while they "made good" on the work. The arrangement we came to--on the spot--was that he would pick up my car the following morning from wherever I parked it for work, drive it back to the shop, repaint the rocker molding, and then deliver the car back to me that afternoon. Sure enough, he called at 10 on Tuesday, I met him in the parking lot at work and gave him the keys, one of his employees drove the car away. About 3:10 that afternoon, Shelly called me to tell me that the car had already been returned to the parking lot "almost exactly where it was parked this morning." I work at Ohio State. The car was by Ohio Stadium. They went out of their way to come get the car and make right on the work. Not many companies will do that. Ken and his crew went above and beyond and I would recommend them to ANYONE needing body work done on their car. AAAAA++++++

Took the car in to a well-known auto service center at the beginning of August to have the tires replaced. During the process, when they lifted the car up on the rack, the driver-side door became damaged...it sustanted several scratches about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. After much back-and-forth with the "well-known auto service center," I was told to bring in the car and they would try to touch it up. It looked worse after their attempt...splotchy paint on the door. Even the employee that did the work said it was a poor job. Again, after much back-and-forth, the auto center's district manager told me to just go and get an estimate to repair the door and "we'll take care of it." I went to a repair shop I have used in the past. They quoted an estimate of $663 to repaint the entire door because just addressing the one area would not "look right" becuase of the difficulty of getting paint to match. I took the estimate in and personally handed it to the district manager. Never heard anything. Finally in December I decided to give them one last phone call before I pursued legal action in small claims court. The district manager told me he was no longer the district manager (no suprise) and I had to contact someone else. I finally got contact information for the new district manager and left a message on his voicemail. He called back within 10 minutes and asked me to tell him what had happened. He said he knew nothing about this and would need to check out my story. In the mean time, he asked that I send him a copy of the repair estimate. One week later, he told me to take the car to Capital Collision for another estimate. When Capital Collision estimated the repair to be $203, I was shocked that they could do the work for such a low fee. I was told that all they needed to do was sand, paint and coat the affected area, not the entire door. I made an appointment to drop the car off at 4 pm on Jan 23. At 3 pm on Jan 24 Capital called to let me know the car was done. That fast!!! The work was flawless!!!
