REFINANCING APPRAISAL WAS DONE WITH NIT-PICKING DETAIL WHEN THEY WERE DIRECTED IN WRITING THAT A 'DRIVE BY' TYPE WOULD SUFFICE. EVEN LOOKED IN BATHTUB BEHIND CURTAIN AND IN EVERY CLOSET AND PANTRY. WANTED TO TAKE INTERIOR PHOTOS BUT WAS TOLD NO! FELT AS THOUGH THEY WERE CASING THE PREMISES AND EVEN LOOKED TWICE ON THE REFRIGERATOR, A MOVABLE APPLIANCE. TOOK OVER ONE HOUR FOR AN APPRAISAL THAT WAS FOR ONLY A 27% LOAN TO VALUE LOAN. I TOLD HER AND THE OWNER THAT THIS WAS AN INVASION OF OUR PRIVACY AND THAT THIS WAS AN INTRUSION. THE FINAL APPRAISAL CAME IN BELOW THE EXPECTED AREA AVERAGE AND WE FEEL THIS WAS IN DIRECT RESULT OF MY COMMENTS REGARDING THEIR INSPECTION TACTICS.
