They found the issue and saved us money. They were professional and very fair priced.

Knowing nothing about garbage disposals and how to fix them, I called Calhoun Plumbing. They were able to schedule a service call the next day. The serviceman, John, arrived and asked a few questions about the problem. He he said that there was hard debris stuck under the blade and was able to fix it by turning the flywheel with a hex wrench. I was glad to know how to fix it myself if this ever happens again but I did not like how, upon leaving, he made comments to me that this call was not worth his time and that it was not a "real" plumbing problem. His attitude was rude and borderline demeaning.

Left voice mail for emergency contact number and was never contacted.

Mike came out to inspect and give me an estimate. He was on time. Although he said the job was easy he could not give me an estimate at that time. He said he would mail me a proposal. After a week, I contacted him to find out when I would get his proposal. He said he faxed it to me and I told him I didn't give him my fax number. He asked for my fax number and said he would send it to me right away. No estimate was ever received. Don't waste your time with this company. If they don't want the job, they should just say so.

They replaced the disposal, and then noticed that the old switch seemed to be sparking, and soon after the new disposal was not working. We then hired an electrician to look at it, and he determined that the disposal was installed incorrectly or there was a defective part. Calhoun went out of their way to come out to fix this issue.

Called for estimate of leak in our ceiling. Was told an "estimator" would return my call. Was told it could be "very expensive". No one ever called to come and look at the problem or give us an estimate (that was three weeks ago).

Ben was very accommodating first arranging an appointment later in the week and then calling back offering to do the work the same day. While a little later than planned, the two fellas called ahead, as requested, so I could minimize my off time at work. Job took only 45 minutes and went without a hitch. Ben responded promptly to an invoicing concern which was rectified completely to my satisfaction.

Well, somehow my mom managed to shove about a billion potato peels down my garbage disposal, and as a result the kitchen sink got majorly clogged. Water wouldn't move in the sink at all. Then when my husband brilliantly tried to plunge the sink to move the clog, he just ended up pulling the pipes apart under the sink so they started leaking, too. It was a nightmare! So I called Calhoun Plumbing at 7:30, and they had someone at my house in less than an hour and a half. He called to let me know he was on his way about 15 minutes before he got here. Two guys came in and got right to work. They were friendly, clean, fast, and extremely professional. They worked quickly, fixed the leak and cleared the clog perfectly, and cleaned up everything well before they left. As a stay-at-home-mom with two young children, sometimes I feel a bit anxious about having people come to the house when I'm home alone, but I felt very comfortable with the plumbers from Calhoun. I'll definitely use them again.

They were prompt and kept their appointments. We are very happy with the service.

My toilet started leaking at the base. When I called for an estimated cost for repair, the person who answered the phone was very professional and helpful. The plumbers who came out were friendly and professional, and very quick. The repair was less than estimated due to it being a rather simple fix. The work order I was given on site after the repair was extremely detailed so I could see what contributed to the overall cost. The work did include a $40 trip charge, which seems to be the case with most plumbers, but I did also get a $10 discount as an Angie's List member.

They came in on time and did a good job. They answered all my questions I had about my plumbing.

This leak was discovered because we saw water damage on the ceiling below. It was the dinner hour on a weeknight. So none of the family could shower for the next work/school day (extra time every morning for sponge baths in a one-bath house would drive us crazy!). Calhoun was open after 5 pm, and offered an emergency service option. They repaired the tub, pipes and drains before 5 pm the next day, the fastest service available of the 5 companies I tried to call. We were back to normal in only one day. Fast, effective, professional service. They cleaned up after themselves, and offered to come back immediately if anything else went wrong. The price was higher for the express service, but fair - they did not take an opportunity to gouge us while under duress. Good, solid work.

The overall service was good, the reps were good, they had to come out a second time to work on the leaking toilet. I thought with a little more attention to detail they could have fixed it the first time.

I've been through a couple of plumbers over the years. Calhoun isn't the cheapest but delivers. That's nice.

They were able to come out the same day I called for service.

Old water heater would not ignite. They were able to come out within 2 days. I gave description of old water heater over phone and asked if they wanted the model number. Answer was no. Installation crew arrived on time with water heater that would not fit the venting and plumbing in place. Had to wait two hours for correct water heater. Job ended up costing twice as much as original phone estimate. Next morning, no hot water. They sent someone out within 90 minutes of my call. Took about 30 minutes to diagnose the problem, a kink in the vapor tube for the natural gas. Has worked fine since. Even though this installation wasn't smooth from start to finish, I found them to be courteous, prompt, responsive and reasonably priced. Job cost the same as installation by Rescue Rooter of old water heater 12 years ago.

We called them after trying plungers and an auger. They arrived within half an hour of the call and fixed it right away. They also tested the flushing over and over again to make sure that it was fixed properly. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely use them again.

Gary was the gentleman that we dealt with, and he was very pleasant. He did a great job.

Came promptly at appointment time. Explained work to be done and finished promptly and professionally. Final cost close to original estimate. Have used company before.

Job 1: It was another great experience! The repairman determined that our pipes were, indeed, blocked and very carefully dismantled them, avoiding any additional water leakage. In no time at all, he had the blockage cleared out, and we were all fixed up! Job 2: It went very well. Our old faucet had been leaking so badly we had turned the cold water line off completely. On a previous visit (for a plugged kitchen sink drain), Calhoun Plumbing had told us we needed a new fixture. This visit we had them back to install it. On their own initiative, they cleared the lavatory trap--which was full of hair, and they also cleared the tub after I mentioned that it was also draining slowly. My drains haven't been this clear in months!

Very quick, efficient, and professional.

Fast and friendly service. Will certainly use Calhoun's again. The only con is that the gentleman who came out did not wear a uniform or something that signified his profession.

He did it responsibly and quickly without a problem. I appreciate his candor.

It went very well. The plumber was here on time, performed the job efficiently and left the area clean.

It took them much longer than they planned. The plumber had to run to the store repeatedly for parts. In addition, the first attempt to fix the leaking sink failed and they had to come back for 3 hours the next day. However, the second visit had no additional charge.
