Buckeye Heating & Cooling

I have a very old A/C unit (Rheem, 1987) and every year I've had to get it recharged. Just a couple days after having it charged this year it didn't seem to be cooling the house, so I called Shawn to give me an estimate on a new system. He was prompt and thorough and concluded that while I could use a new system given the age of my current one, the Rheem was still pretty much doing the job. He suggested several ways I could improve the efficiency of my current system and pointed out where some of the cool air was escaping.

They are very good to work with. Both technicians were extremely professional, and very easy to work with, they were professional in everything that they did.

I am very pleased with the service. I called to schedule an service agreement appointment. The wait for that app't was only a week and a half which I was please because it has been unseasonably hot and I figured I would have had to wait for some time. Fortunately for me, that time was short. In that week and a half my A/C stopped working. When Ian the tech arrived he was more than willing to solve the problem in addition to the service agreement inspection. He thoroughly explained what he was doing and offered suggestions for some preventative work to increase the efficiency of my unit. The problem with my unit was the contacter and he replaced that. The entire visit was only about 45 minutes. The service agreement was only $120.00 and since I am a new customer it is for 3 visits. The part was an additional $150.00 which is a discounted price since I had the service agreement. I am very pleased with their service.

Excellent service. Fast, reasonably priced. (It was a mid winter emergency furnace repair).

Estimate process went well, showed up on time and was professional enough to not talk me into getting something I didn't need. Installation , showed up as scheduled. Was very neat when working in the house, wore booties on the first walk through and later used a drop cloth on the part of the floor that connected the front door to the basement access. Installed a new A/C unit along with a humidifier on the furnace very quickly. Told me it would take 4 to 6 hours to install. Took a little over three hours to install and complete the project. Installers were great, out of the way and respectful of our house and careful not to mess up anything. Also cleaned up after themselves. Would use again.

Positive experience. Appointment was set and the serviceman showed up on time and appeared to be very thorough. The worker left the area clean and was very professional.

They did good work. They kept me informed of everything that needed to be done and how they were going to do it.

I called for an estimate and they sent a representative the next day. They gave me complete information on the different furnace types and later that day sent me a quote for the furnace plus the duct work. I was impressed that they did not try to quote the most expensive furnace they offered for our small house. When I called to place the order, they were able to schedule installation in 8 days. The installation crew was polite, clean and did a great job explaining all the features of our new system. All-in-all, we are very pleased.

Very well. Our old furnace had gone out, again; we decided to take the plunge and get a new one as the old one was 20 years old. The salesman, Pete, came out very quickly and helped us find ways to make this purchase more affordable; he was very knowledgeable, as well as friendly. The new furnace was installed within two days and, besides running much more quietly, appears to be doing a better job of heating our home; our utility bills have already dropped, and I fully expect that this will pay for itself within three to five years. We had a couple of very minor problems which they have very quickly addressed at no charge. I am extremely pleased.

Went very well. Very easy to work with. Price was reasonable, and we did not have to wait weeks to have it installed. The installer came on time, was very nice, and answered all of my questions.

The work went well. We had first call of the day which was 8:30 to 9:00 and the repairman was there by 9:10 which was great. Had someone look at the furnace a couple of days before that had some training and they couldn't figure out the problem. The repairman from Buckeye came and was finished in about 40 minutes and had the furnace up and running. We were very pleased. He resolved the problem quickly and inexpensively and knew what he was doing which was very much appreciated. We were not charged for unnecessary repairs which again was appreciated.

They did a real nice job, were very courteous, and friendly. They showed up when they said they would and did the job they said they were going to do. The tech saved me some money from the beginning so I was very happy with that.

Call was scheduled within a few days of calling them. Arrived on time, but did take another call while on driveway (I was dealing with another contractor so that was not a problem for me). Very personable. Appeared to have proper tools and followed detailed check list. Discussed some parts expected failure rate. Explained possible filter options including other vendors and air cleaners. Filter recommendation was close to least expensive option (given that I already use 3m "pure" filters) requiring less amount of homeowner attention. No pressure. Also covered central humidifier features and cost at my request. Found no hail damage worth repairing on outside compressor, even though it was covered by insurance. Heating system is now quieter.

Buckeye heating was quick to respond to my initial phone call for an estimate. Pete Kott, the sales manager, came to my home within a few days of the inquiry, after 6pm, which was quite helpful so that I did not have to take additional time off. He was informative about the differences in the furnaces, and in energy efficiency issues and ratings, as well as rebates and tax issues. I was impressed with the depth of knowledge and how quickly the estimate was completed. Before he left, I knew the cost and approximate time line for installation. The 2 service individuals that installed the new Lennox 95% efficiency furnace were on-time, careful not to make a mess, polite, and did a great job cleaning up the debris from the installation. I chose Buckeye over another Angie's List company based on the price ($600 lower than the competitor for the same products and service), and the initial interaction with Pete Kott.

Very nice salesperson. Was willing to negotiate. Did not complete the work in first day, but the furnace is working. Just need to install the intake pipe and fix a leak. We are coordinating our schedules to find a time that works for both of us.

We had no heat when the appointment was made. They came the same day to fix the problem. The tech came two days later to conduct an annual maintenance check up.

The Buckeye Heating & Cooling representative took his time in reviewing our current system and giving us an honest appraisal of what we need for our price range. He was informative and thorough during the meeting,and we are considering purchasing a heating system from his company.

Great from start to finish. I had called around for prices (working from Angie's list,) and Buckeye was the best deal. They were able to schedule me quickly. There was a mix-up about what "mid-day" meant, so I missed the tech when he first came by. But when I called, they said no problem, and he came immediately after the call he was on. The technician was very friendly and thorough in his inspection and in his explanation of what he saw, what routine maintenance we needed to do, how we could get the most even heating by running the blower, how the contract worked. He was also very considerate with respect to cleanliness (shoe covers) and noise (my baby was napping).

Furnace stopped working shortly after moving into home even though the furnace was new. Technician diagnosed the problem as a plugged secondary condensate drain. Approximately 2 weeks later, the furnace stopped working again. Buckeye came out again and apparently the problem was misdiagnosed the first time. They installed a new PVC pipe for draining and we haven't had a problem since. Even though I would have preferred the problem was fixed the first time, they didn't charge for the second visit and they were very professional.

Very well, we were pleased that the $69 charge to diagnose the problem was put toward the cost of the repair.

Arrived on time and completed the work as quoted. Technician was friendly and informative. I found him to be easy to communicate with and willing to listen, as well as instruct. My last company (I was with them for 21 years) started to sell me on a new furnace and I tired of this quickly. Decided it was time for some "new blood" and I am pleased with my decision so far.

Overall a great experience. Randy was a few minutes late, but the service made up for it. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He should have charged more for the orifice cleaning, but only charged $60. I will definitely use this company again.

My experience was excellent. They called me prior to getting there as I had to leave work to meet them at the house. The tech did not make me wait and showed up at the right time. He was very professional and gave me a lot of advice on how to help better my furnace and a/c unit. He fixed the line in 10 minutes. It was clogged. He then advised me of their very resonable service agreement. He did not over charge me but instead gave me the lower rate of the 2 he could have charged and let me take advantage of a $15 dollar coupon. Very good service.

They came out after I called them in the morning by noon the same day. I couldn't have been happier and the price was very good.
