Brothers Roofing and Construction

I hired Brothers Roofing and Construction to fix several problems with my roof area which includes and is not limited to replacing a flat roof, replacing rotten eves and trim and replacing box gutters - when I met with Bill Schmidt I specifically pointed out a problem area of our roof/box gutter/eves, where water had been flowing over the gutter to the pavers below as such eroding the bricks and joint material - I explained to Mr. Schmidt I bought the house knowing extensive repairs were needed and I decided to proceed with repairs as the water flowing over the gutter was damaging my new brick sidewalk below as well as causing foundation issues - materials were delivered in October/November 2018 - work did not begin until the end of March 2019, I was sympathetic to weather conditions which delayed the start date on my roof - at some point during the job someone spilled TOXIC adhesive on an area of my sidewalk which was not cleaned/removed - my retired working dog Rexo (9 years in Afghanistan working as a PED, PATROL EXPLOSIVES DETECTION) licked and/or ate the toxic adhesive and nearly died - he was in acute liver failure and we had no idea why as the spilled adhesive was not brought to our attention - we incurred over $2,000 in vet bills to save Rexos life - I explained all of this to Mr. Schmidt, he did not assume responsibility for this on behalf of his workers and did not reimburse me for Rexos vet bills - several days after the job was completed my husband noticed the problem area of our roof was still a problem - water was still gushing over the gutter - Mr. Schmidt met with us and said that area needs a downspout - I asked why a downspout wasn’t installed, he said, “it didn’t occur to me”???????? - He said he would send his best roof guy to see what could be done to fix this issue and asked for the remainder of the bill - reluctantly I gave him a check, I haven’t heard from him since -
