Our asphalt driveway was replaced and we have had continuous large puddles of water form that were never present before. The response from the company has not fixed the problem and the customer service is inadequate.

BUYER BEWARE!! Asphalt driveway has lumps and standing water and other problems!!! Terrible customer service and poor quality in my opinion! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I had written a bad review of Breck's Paving several months ago - that review is in the review summaries. Since that time they have replaced our entire driveway and we are very satisfied!

DO NOT under any circumstance do business with this company!! My husband and I paid $11,000 for a new driveway months ago - a lot of money! The driveway is filled with hills and lumpiness - it looks awful - not much better than the old 30 year old driveway. We've contacted the sales department numerous times without any results. DO NOT use this company - they don't back up their work and apparently don't care about customer service. We're not sure where to go from here.....

I received an estimate from them. They responded very quickly to my request for one and emailed me back to answer subsequent questions. I was very impressed with them, but we decided to hire another company to perform the work. The two estimates were similar, but the company we hired had come to our house twice and spoken with us face-to-face, which is why we decided to hire that company. We came very close to hiring Breck’s. They seem like a good, professionally run company, and their price was very competitive. Angie’s Lust requires a yes or no answer to the question, “would you hire again?” I answered “yes” even though I never hired them because I seriously considered doing so. There should be another option for answering this question.

I contacted Brecks paving to repair some damage that was done to our driveway when we were required to have a trash canister in the driveway for work being done on our home. I left a message and no one returned my call. I called a week later and someone answered. I was told that I was not called yet because they were very busy and that they would call me in the future. A month later, no one had called. I called again and left a message. Someone returned my call and left a message for me stating that they were not the ones who had put in our driveway originally and that we needed to contact the company who put in our driveway in the first place. I guess they did not want our business. In any event, this was very poor customer service.

They are Horrible !!! Was REFERRED by my condo office and Waited MONTHS for Brecks to do my carport when they were doing service roads in condo complex...and they wouldnt even stop by my place while they were in my complex NUMEROUS times !! I called the office and talked to "JO" 3 times and she took my # and said they would call me ...and NOONE ever CALLED me OR showed UP!! Even talked to my Condo office again and they couldnt get them to do anything...That is HORRIBLE business and I would suggest you never use a business likeTHIS unless you want to waste YOUR time (which is JUST as valuable as BRECKS) by the way !!! but THEY dont think So ......

Breck's Paving did a FABULOUS job with installing my new driveway (they installed it over a gravel drive). All of the employees were professional, hard working, caring and kind. They worked extremely well together as a team to get the job completed. The guys took extra time to hand tamp many areas of the driveway and around the entire perimeter of the drive. Top grade materials were used and Kevin Bloxam, owner, utilizes top of the line equipment from dump trucks down to the paver and roller. The owner, Kevin, came out to the job to supervise the project and even pitched in and helped his crew to ensure that they performed meticulous workmanship....which is exactly what they did! Kevin was also very cognizant of my driveway design and worked diligently to ensure I was happy with the outcome. He was also extremely kind, caring, compassionate and professional. Breck's Paving should be rated #1 in the nation for their beautiful work and dedication to the profession!! THANK YOU, KEVIN AND CREW, FOR A JOB WELL DONE!! I LOVE MY NEW DRIVEWAY!!!!!!!!

looked great but let some holes that did not fill kept telling us that they were going to repair it never showed up. second small hole has appeared.

Timely and detailed quote was provided. The price was inline with other quotes we received. We decided to postpone the driveway repair but would consider Breck's for future service.

Where to begin... The most unprofessional service I have ever received. The drive way that was installed in September/October of 2012 on a newly built home did not appear smooth from day one and beginning in the springtime started to show sign further poor craftsmanship. I was planning on getting the driveway sealed but wanted to wait before spending the money to have any needed repairs done as this should be under warranty. When I called them to see what the issue was I was told someone would come out to look at it and I requested them to call me and I would meet someone there to discuss it. Three months later and 5-7 phone calls by me, finally I am told that I should seal the driveway...which would have already been done had they given me an answer. The lady who answers the phone is incompetent and the owner is no better. Not once was there an apology for the three month delay to get a ridiculous answer from them. They do not stand behind their product and do subpar work. When I call the last time being today he says "I've been out there twice". I said then why is it I have to keep calling you to get an answer. His response is he has to deal with Maronda because they paid him. However he did not talk with Maronda because the super would have emailed me or told me since he is in my neighborhood daily at the other new builds. Their solution to their poor work is for me to give them money to fill in the holes between the aggregate with a seal coat. He also let me know that I should have received a book about maintenance from Maronda, way to pass the buck and ignore the fact that I have been noticing these flaws since the beginning of the installation. I will have my seal coat done by a more reputable company with a clue about customer service. *Just to clarify the companies response... Never once did he call me back! I called at least 5-7 times. Never did i ask for the driveway to be replaced. Funny that nothing was wrong with driveway yet he comes to my house while I'm at work the last day I spoke with him and repairs a whole in the driveway. While there he does not attempt to fix the crack on side of drive that the "equipment" must have caused or the other two holes clearly visible on the drive. *i have since had the sealcoat applied by the #1 company for this on Angie's list First Choice Asphalt and it did not fix the holes or the crack. First Choice did a great job tho. In brecks paving owners professional opinion after 45 yrs in the business this was all I needed to do... Amazing they have been around for that long with this type of customer service.

Brecks installed new driveway in 2006 and have done my sealing ever since. AMazing company with amazing customer service!

On June 17th, we called them to come back and reseal some of the cracks that had opened back up. This was not their fault. On the 19th they resealed the driveway again. Breck's was very easy to work with. They were prompt. When I called them to fix the cracks again, they came out. They also came out on the 19th to reseal after I asked them to. They did not even suggest charging us to fix the cracks and reseal the driveway in June. I would recommend this company to our friends, neighbors, and family.

Came out for a free estimate a week or two after I called. Was amiable and we talked about some specific concerns I had. Answered all questions thoroughly, including e-mailed questions after the quote was delivered. Kept me informed on estimated start date with fluctuating weather conditions, etc. My driveway was originally stone and put in five years previously. A few loads of stone had been added over the years but was long overdue again. There were many low spots, bumps, ruts. And my driveway is 880' long. Prep work was done properly and thoroughly and finished in one day. (Grading, compacting, more gravel to fill low spots.) Paving was finished in one day and looks great! High-quality asphalt, 2.5" thick. Very impressed.

Call on 7/24/2012 for Est.They said service could be done the next day. But, it rained all dayThe next morning they called at 7:30 to do the work. They arrived on time and did a GREAT JOB

I requested a quote via e-mail link on Angie's List to replace 3 car wide driveway. Got a repy back via e-mail that I would have a quote in 5 business days. I did not get one. 4 weeks later I sent their e-mail saying they would quote in 5 days time back and requested it again. No response. Hence the "F". If someone is too busy, please just say so. Disappointing since I used Angie's List......

Their pricing was a little bit below average. They were very professional and had the whole system down pat. They took out three layers of old asphalt and applied the new down. They were very experienced and did a great job. The owner, Kevin, really knew his stuff in regards to his business.

They came out promptly. Did all I asked and redid the pavement Thursday and Friday. It looks like it’s a good job. They didn’t give me an important piece of information, so I had to call. The blacktop needs to be sealed but they didn’t tell me when it needed to be sealed. I called and they told me next spring. They cut back a little bit of the garage concrete that had crumbled and did in asphalt. They didn’t tell me how much dust this would create. They didn’t cover anything or tell me so I could cover my belongings. Everything in the garage including the door is covered in concrete dust. I think they should have at least cleaned down the door. The receptionist said they must have been in a hurry, because they normally would have done that. I couldn’t walk on it for a couple days, so I just sprayed it down yesterday. The pressure from the hose didn’t do the whole job; I had to wipe it down.

Within a few days after contacting Breck's, a quote arrived in my mailbox. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price. After I accepted the quote, I was scheduled in less than a month - pretty good for this time of year! It rained heavily overnight just before the work was scheduled. I received a call that morning, saying they'd be delayed, but could at least prep the driveway, which they did. The next day, they completed the drive. It looks terrific! One of my neighbors was so impressed with the job that she asked for their contact information. I highly recommend this company!

Owner Kevin Bloxam called me a day before the job was to start as I had requested. The old asphalt was taken up the next day and crushed stone was brought in. The stone was packed down when I came home from work. The asphalt was to be laid the next day. However, overnight, we had over an inch of rain. Kevin called me at 6:30 a.m. and suggested we put off the asphalt a day as more rain was predicted. The following day, Breck's Paving crew showed up at 7:30 a.m. to roll the driveway again and lay the asphalt. We are still letting the asphalt cure and haven't driven on it yet. The job looks to be very well done. The crews were very neat and no mess was left. It looks to me that they did a great job.

It took a few weeks to get the contractor out for an estimate and another few weeks to get him out for the work. But since the asphalt plant was closed for an unusually cold and wet Spring this year, that's understandable. Once scheduled, they appeared Wednesday morning at 8:00 am as scheduled and had the old driveway and base removed by noon. The new base was installed and compacted by 2:00 pm. The team leader told me the paving crew would be by shortly. At 4:00 pm, the office called me to say that the paving crew has "run into a problem" and could not get to my job until the following week. I told them this was unacceptable. they apologized but told me it was unavoidable. The following afternoon, the office caled me at work and said that, if i could be home at 4:00 pm, the crew would take care of the paving then. I ran home and they did show up and performed a beautiful paving job in about 2 1/2 hours.

From the very beginning when we called for a quote through to the completion of the job everything went very smoothly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Brecks followed through on everything they promised.

Regrade gravel driveway and install a new blacktop driveway. They were great and were receptive to what I wanted done, Great Team of guys installed the driveway and made it look really great. I will most likely use them to seal the driveway too......... Thanks to Brecks and your great team.
